Good day to you,

I am contacting you today in the name of Mister Dean, Vice President of Interspace Commerce.

He had a rather specific request involving the construction and maintenance of a rather special biodome of sorts. We haven't heard of any recent biodome constructions and thus I hereby inquire if you are still holding ownership over the department that is responsible for creating quotes and planning the construction of biodomes.

Please tell me what information you need to plan such a thing and Mister Dean will gladly tell you what exactly he has in mind.

Have a nice day.

Good to meet you, Miss Adams.

I would first like to thank you for choosing Synth Foods for your self-suffiency needs. As you're obviously well aware, we are the first and finest option in long-term food storage and generation. Onto your proposal, we've designed many custom biodome solutions in the past - every station is different, and one size certainly does not fit all in the aerospace business - but we will need some information to get started. How large you'd like the biodome to be - this can be in terms of required size or in terms of the amount of population it needs to sustain - is a good start. We'll also need to know if there are any specific products you'd like to be produced within this biodome, beyond our general-purpose Synth Paste™ product (now with 43 new flavors). Finally, any security concerns or zoning restrictions will also need to be forwarded to our offices prior to surveying so that we can give you the best estimate and most fitting BioDome™ product that will suit your needs.

For your convenience, I've attached the typical scheduling for a typical construction product.

Regardless, if you would please gather that information and have it forwarded to our offices at your earliest convenience, we can begin working on business in earnest.

Any additional inquiries, comments, or questions can be forwarded on this frequency, and either myself or my secretary will reply to them as soon as possible. And again, thank you for choosing Synth Foods.

Have a good one.

The transmission began, showing Dean inside something that looked like a conference room, behind him a huge window showing a golf court. The green grass and rolling hills stood in crass contrast to the usual space traffic seen in his video calls.

"Good day. So my secretary already told you of our plans at least briefly. See I don't know if you were told or noticed but we have this fancy new Golf VR deck on Park Avenue Station." He was standing and walking from left to right nervously, seemingly troubled by something.

"So it was a huge success but this is ridiculous. It is not comparable to real golf in the slightest. It's not comparable to Curacao or Manhattan or New London even. And certainly not to my private one." He just stated these things as facts. Not bragging much.

"Now I thought why that is and after consulting with my secretary I got to the conclusion that golf is just not a VR sport. You need to do it for real. Feel the sport." He got really enthusiastic though it seemed like he wasn't really that much in for the sport but something else mostly.

"So that is my plan: Why not just do exactly that? Play it for real. On Park Avenue Station. Make a biodome just for golf. You can do that right? Or something similar at least? Can you add a little lake and so on? The typical golf court things?"

He stopped walking for a moment then looking a bit more considerate. "Now I imagine this being rather difficult with all the atmosphere and so on and the lack of trees but I am certain you will find a solution. Do we need another biodome for that? Well you are the specialists. So please make me- us an offer."

"Until then." He said and got ready to walk off.

"I won't lose to that VR kid again." He complained rather quietly while leaving the room.

Glad to make your acquaintance, Mr. Dean.

Well, you've certainly made us an interesting proposition. I can't say I've ever heard of a golf-course biodome, but I don't suppose it's outside the realm of feasibility - well, that is, depending on how much money you've got to show. (I don't suppose a banking firm - scratch that, the banking firm would have problems with that.) It'll take quite a lot of extra infrastructure to get a working and properly irrigated golf course, but logistical challenges related to such things are our forte. Our ACS 5th-generation BioDome should be able to be used for this task, although it won't be able to perform much beyond recycle CO₂ into breathable oxygen - grass is thirsty, even the fake stuff, so regardless you're going to be out of luck for any food production. (We could tack on a small growery for a fee, if sustainability is a necessity.)

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Mr. Dean, Synth Foods will be more than happy to take care of your contract. We'll need a little more information, of course - only some customary things, like what kind of budget we'll be working with, and whether you're more a fan of the Curacao fields or those in Manhattan. (I'm personally a Denver fan, myself...they're a bit rough, but that's part of the fun.) Also, if you're interested in any sustainability options, of course, although those'll be extra - emulating a professional golf field isn't exactly space-efficient. Once you've got all that figured out, let me know, and I can begin working on getting a survey team over to your installation to get a better idea of what we're working with.

As always, any additional inquiries, comments, or questions can be forwarded on this frequency, and either myself or my secretary will reply to them as soon as possible. And again, thank you for choosing Synth Foods.

"Hello, hello, I am glad to see that you are capable of that request. Money in this case is not the question. If administration thinks they can't handle it then I will." He was pretty eager to get this little project of his up and running and it was a rare moment in which he wasn't staying calm and content.

"Well I would much prefer if the court would be close to my personal one on Manhattan. You should play a round with me to get a feeling for the court." His invitation was legit and the court behind the window was his.

"See I talked with Administration. And they would maybe still like a more direct food supply. So maybe we can think of two of these? One for production and one for the court. I heard that helps with- ah- maintaining atmosphere or something like that." Details were something for others not for him and so he waved those off.

"So just tell us what it will cost and who you need for the materials. OSC is probably proficient in keeping up courts like this. Planetform was supplying IC stations with filters. So we should be able to quickly request the things you are not supplying yourself."

He stopped smiled then and sat down for the first time in his transmissions to Synth Foods. "As you see, everything is ready for you to begin. Just send us an offer and a plan on what is needed."

"I am looking forward to hearing of you soon." Were his last words before the transmission ended.

Mr. Dean.

I'll have to rain-check that invitation for golf; might come in handy sometime in the future, when my schedule's a little less hectic.

As for your request, it appears you may be in luck. We have a surplus of pre-fabricated BioDomes, model ACS-IVb, that are now sitting around after some Freeport construction tycoon filed for bankruptcy. Two of those, one built to your golf-course specifications and the other to standard sustainability protocols, should be enough to supply both your nutrition and your love of the game. Since they're already constructed and only need to be towed into position, the only thing we'll have to bill you for is transportation and contracting...probably just shy of one hundred million, although that's negotiable as well.

That being said, you'll probably need to get some of those Planetform filters transported to your station, as I don't believe the ACS-IVb domes are capable of keeping Manhattan synth-grass alive for very long on their own. And while I'm sure our workers could handle it, you probably are better off getting some contracting from OS&C to keep that field in check. Not exactly our cup of tea, if you get what I mean.

Slap all that together and you might just have yourself a working deal, Mr. Dean. In fact, call it a cool fifty million, depositable to Synth|Food.for.Thought, and we'll have those BioDomes moving to Manhattan low earth orbit faster than your short game. An endless supply of food and oxygen, with built in H2O recycling, and a wonderful venue for golf? What's not to love?

Good day Mister Dawson,

today I can tell you that Mister Dean decided to approve and order the construction of the two biodomes.

As a matter of fact he also already authorized the payment himself.

We'd be glad to receive a timeframe about the delivery of the biodomes so we can go and request Planetform and OSC to assist with the rest. I am certain there will be much more coming up along the way and we'd like to plan.

Mister Dean is very grateful for this swift handling of his rather... odd request.

Have a nice day.

Ms. Adams.

You'll apologize for the delay; what with the war effort, it appears our requests for a temporary superheavy hauling permit in Liberty were placed in a 'low priority' pile, and so instead of waiting any longer we'll be deconstructing the biodomes and shipping them in segments over to Manhattan low-earth orbit, and then rebuilding them there and attaching them to the superstructure. Probably not in that order. I'm no engineer.

Regardless, you should have your domes delivered within the week. You'll likely want to contact Planetform if you haven't already about those filters, as otherwise we'll have to delay construction further - and nobody wants that! Nothing more than a single shipment is probably necessary, as those filters last for a rather long time when put to low-rate use.

I'll be sure to inform you when we've completed construction, although as I said, it shouldn't be more than a week from today.

As always, any additional inquiries, comments, or questions can be forwarded on this frequency, and either myself or my secretary will reply to them as soon as possible. Again, thank you for choosing Synth Foods.
