To: Bretonia Government, Leaders of BPA, BAF, BIS - Sombs - 08-12-2016 :::[INCOMING TRANSMISSION]::: :::[ESTABLISHING SECURED AUDIO FEED]::: :::[AUDIO FEED: LIVE]::: ID: Ezrael Vertiga Location: Omega-49 Subject: Harbourage ENCRYPTION: To whom it may concerns, my name is Ezrael Vertiga, Captain of the Mako-class capital ship Apahanta. Hereby, I apply for shelter in the Bretonian Kingdom. As the result of the recent conflict in the Omicrons between the Core and the Zoners, the Apahanta defected from the Core, taking a crew of about fifty defectors with it. This was accomplished by inscenating a combat situation with Battlegroup Auxesia, resulting in making the Core-loyal crew leaving the ship using the escape pods in Omicron Minor. With the assistance of the Zoners of the Livadia Shipyards, we were able to repair and refuel and until this time maintain the ship and the crew of now twenty people. At this point, we were hiding the Apahanta in the Barrier Cloud, in Omega-49, as Finn McCool of the Confederation of Freeports allowed us to stay there for the time being. Now, we reached a point where it is neccessary to increase the mobility of the Apahanta, as Omega-49 is still in the vicinity of the Core, as well as of the Corsairs, the Coalition, the Red Hessians, and the Mollys as well, as other parties. They mostly respect the No Fire Zone of the Zoners, however, it's just a matter of time util they find a reason to pirate or even attack the Apahanta, as some people in the Outer Rim tend to get an itchy triggerfinger very quick. To reach my homeworld Curacao, the other Zoner-protected areas like Baffin, and the freeports on the other side of Bretonia, or simply to find a place for us and this ship to stay, I wish to ask you for asylum. We need shelter before the Core finds us. We need access to shipyards to maintain the ship, refuel it, restock it. We need time to get the ship a full crew. I would pay for every ressource we need. Hereby, I invite you to Omega-49 to make yourself a picture in a diplomatic meeting. The Apahanta isn't meant to be a battleship any longer, but a mobile home and research ship, as the untamed wilds of Sirius hold so much to discover. My crew doesn't include soldiers. We never wanted to fight our fellow man, as we know a threat that is bigger and way more dangerous than pirates, Corsairs, Mollys, the Coalition or Gallia. During our expeditions through the nomad controlled Omicrons, we found things that also need attention. While the Apahanta is currently not what one should call a warship, it can be helpful to Bretonia if you allow us to stay or at least to pass Bretonia unharmed to reach Cortez, Coronado and Baffin. I can understand that people are afraid to see a foreign capital ship in Bretonian space, but the Apahanta means no harm to the Bretonians. But make yourself a picture. You are invited to meet me in Omega-49. Maybe we can find a compromise to please both sides. Sincerely, Ezrael Vertiga
RE: To: Bretonia Government, Leaders of BPA, BAF, BIS - Sombs - 08-13-2016 ||| RESENDING TRANSMISSION ||| RE: To: Bretonia Government, Leaders of BPA, BAF, BIS - The Kingdom of Bretonia - 10-12-2016 Mr. Ezrael Vertiga, Your message has been discussed by the Cabinet and the final decision was to deny it. The Cabinet is well aware of the threats that are beyond Bretonias borders, not only human ones. Some of them even come in the shape of our kind, not distinguishable from the average human. The informations you provided, as well as those of other sources, seem to create a picture of the crew of the Apahanta that gives reason for suspicion that allowing you to stay in Bretonia might endanger our people, be it directly or indirectly. The Cabinet is not willing to take this risk, especially in times of war where we can not allow resources to be divided. In service to the Crown, Miss Sophie Clarke
