How well would you do without guns or shields?
I think this could be a strong test of your role play abilities!
Try it for a day or two and see how pvp dependent you are....
True, this is a game that bases RP on PvP but try it the other way around for a bit... see how well you do with pure RP!

Well perhaps no guns or shields, but you should have a good thruster, and good CM's.

Personlly I hate PvP. My connection made it a nightmare, then my mindset cemented that, so I'd be happy to drop my guns for a bit. I'll miss the mining though ::sobs::
Anyway, I've done the no shield thing before and the NPCs really do eat you. You'd have to be a perfect Zoner to get away with no shield.

I'd be dead. I can't type and fly at the same time, and I'm rarely able to sit still long enough to RP with someone fully before getting blown out of the sky. It's nice when I can though.

I do it in my Starflier all the time. Justice MK 2's ain't gonna do much..
Of course, I'm under lvl 30 at the moment, but that'll change soon... gotta mine more diamonds!:D

Having had an LSF Starblazer gunned down by a random passer-by in what apparently was a gunship without a word, I'm not ever going without shields. Had it not been for my shields, I wouldn't have almost gotten away (had it not been for that jerk blasting the trade lane to keep this apparently dangerous starblazer from escaping... bah, nevermind)
As for guns, the characters that tend to hold my interest aren't the type to go without weapons. I could manage if I wanted, but I don't want to.

My ALG character have only shield (I dont like when NPCs shake my screen like gogo dancer her bottom) and 2 guns which are used as tool, not as weapon... it is good RP experience I think.
Few weaks ago I was smugling cardi from Malta to Manhatan in starflier ...
