SUBJECT: Patrol repot #3
DATE: 17.12.817 A.S.

Dear High Command,

this is patrol report #3. Date is 12/17/817 AS.

Starting my duty shift from Schlachtschiff Westfalen I head down to New Berlin jump gate scanning the area around the trade lanes. Shortly after my jump to New Berlin my scanners picked up a transponder signal of the red Hessians.
While trying to locate the outcome I was informed by a civilian vessel that there's been a sighting of the Hessian vessel jumping to Hamburg.
Since there were no other threads in New Berlin I heard of, I turned my ship immediatly and jumped back to Hamburg to catch the Hessian.

Right after I left jump speed I got the hostile vessel on sight.

As you can read out of my flight recorder, I ordered the vessel to stand down but the pilot refused and took the lane to Alster Werft.
I followed it and caught the Hessian while he was trying to hide in the Alster Feld. Acompanied by two fighters from Bundschuh I still tried to get this criminal into custody.

Hardly damaged and without data from my scanners, the Hessian was able to hide in the Alster Feld and I lost track of him.
With emergency systems close to zero and navigation systems totally offline I was able to bring my 90-ARKM-N45 to Schlachtschiff Westfalen and got my injuries treated.

Meine Damen und Herren,

On the 16.12.817 A.S. I have started my duty in the afternoon hours in the Neu Berlin system. There i have met the flieger Mueller. I asked him for a quick situation report and he answered that everything is clear and quiet. So i offered him to make a little training with me. He agreed and we moved to Braunschweig. There we have made the full fight simulation so i could know in which parts he needs to improve.
First his weakpoint was his wrath equipment: he had 2 firekisses and 2 hornvipers, so i advised him to choose one kind of weapon. The other point was his torpedo and armor uprage 4. Becouse of this loadout it was hard to continue with the training and i decided to continue another time.

After some hours i have heared about a bundshuh situation in Neu berlin, so i have made a patrol of the system. There was no sight of them but i have spotted the flieger Schetland fighting with the well know hessian called himself as the RHA. I saw that the flieger is not ready to manage such fight so i ordered him to stay out and i had to handle the situation. The RHA had no chance agains the wrath and his ship was destroyed but again he managed to escape with his pod. The strange sitiation was that the battleship Straussberg havent detected and havent activated its defense systems. Meine damen und herren such situation happened already twice to me. So i think the engeneers have to take a look at it.

After the destruction of the hessian sabre vessel i offered the flieger Shetland a training, so we moved the Braunschweig. There i have made the full fight simulation again. His equipment was alright, but he needs to improve his aiming and maybe also the evading and dodging a bit. There have i noticed that he havent used his cd, becouse he didnt know what for is it good. So i explained him everything about it and now he knows that it is a very useful weapon. We have made another full fight simulation and i saw the improvement with the cd usage. Meine herren both of the fligers need to work on their aiming so i would suggest to train them as much we can, so they can protect Rheinland agains its enemies better.

After some break i was called to Neu Berlin again. There were some informations about a hessian situation. I have met herr major Rall in space, but we havent noticed anything. I asked herr major to do a training with me becouse i have heared that he is a very experienced fighter and im always willing to improve. We moved to braunchweig, the third time today already, and started the training. It was a very good training. Herr major is indeed a very good fighter and i need to learn many things from him. After the training we wanted to return to the Neu berlin system, but when we jumped to berlin there were 3 hessian ships already waiting for us- Vladimir.Lenin., Eric.Koehler and Sharp_eye. They even have refused their option to surrender and get to Vierlande unharmed. Their provocating made the fight started. After some minutes feldwebel Kreuzchen showed up and supported us in the fight. Our first target was Eric.Koehler who was flying a warewolf he was destoyed in some minutes without any problems, then the next target was Lenin and the last one sharp eye who was more evading than fighting. All of the hessian vessels were destroyed and our ships haev taken only minor damage from them.

Guten Tag piloten,

I'm writing this report to introduce the happenings that took place after the Ion storm we experienced earlier this day.

Training with Hauptfeldwebel August von Speer

As the effects of the heavy ion storm were starting to wear off, I took off from Planet Baden Baden, when we were forced to land. As I took off, Herr Hauptfeldwebel Speer offered me to introduce some combat tactics which are vital for survival on the battlefield. As soon as I offloaded three LWB pilots at Battleship Strausberg, whom I captured in an earlier firefight, I was instructed to fly to Braunscheweig, where the training took place. After a simple combat simulation, Herr Speer analized my tactics and movement and told me what improvements I have to achieve. I was honored to learn the tactics of weapon balance, engine killing and proper movement with engines cut. Unfortunately, the after-effects of the previous ion storm hit us, and I lost all communications, sensors and navigation systems.

Battle report #1

A few minutes later, my systems were functional again, but the Hauptfeldwebel was nowhere to be found. I practiced "EK" in the Braunscheweig system and was planning to arm my ship with more Debiliators, when I suddenly picked up a long-range transmission, coming from New Berlin. It originated from a Bounty Hunter ship reporting that he found two Hessian ships and was requesting assistance. Since I got no restrictions that prevent me from assisting BHG members (especially if they're fighting Hessians in the middle of New Berlin), I took the liberty of engaging my cruise engines and get on the way to assist him.

As soon as I got there, I've engaged the Hessians, who were fighting the Bounty Hunter named Ed. L. Roe. The two Hessians were flying Thor class bombers (I cannot confirm they were specifically Thors, but they were bomber-class ships), who were obviously aiming to pirate traffic going through the Bonn-Dortmund trade lane. I took on the Hessian named "Gotha", whom the Bounty Hunter was also targeting, in hopes of taking the target faster down together. However, Gotha started evading and the other one, Karl Meyer took us on from behind. That event led me to switch targets, and take on Karl Meyer, while the Bounty Hunter was fighting Gotha. Herr Meyer was not a soft target. He used a mini-razor, a (S)NAC, CDs and EK to fight me, but after a 10-15 minute interval of fighting, I managed to make him run out of nanobots and shield batteries (while I still had 34 bots and 67 bats left) and also took his hull down to half. At that time, the Bounty Hunter's target, the Hessian ship named Gotha, fled the fight and the Hunter couldn't catch him. I told the Hunter that I have the situation under control, but since he needed the money, I've let him score the kill. The situation was under control, we got rid of the Red Hessian threat.

After the fight, I returned to Battleship Strausberg to rearm, repair and send the report. Note that the communication log is only partial and I took it after we took care of the Hessian threat.

Guten Tag piloten,

Another eventful day this was, Rheinland has been saved from a great threat today.
I was in the Barracks when we were suddenly called to the briefing room. Reports have came in of Wilde ships being loose in the Stuttgard system and we would be scrambled to secure the system, protect the civilians and neutralise the threat. With the uthmost unfortune, I had to delay a few minutes from the launch because of a minor thruster malfunction in the hangar, but got to the meeting point at Planet Stuttgart in time. Herr Weissman, Herr Weddigen and a reserve pilot called Christian Stein were at the randezvous point already, we were waiting for the Admiral to issue orders. Nothing of particular interest happened besides an unidentified Wraith class showing up and heading into the nebula nearby.
As the Admiral arrived, we were ordered to form wings and patrol the system via the trade lanes, I was with Herr Weissman and Herr Weddigen under orders to take Baden Baden and the Border station. We spotted a trader ship called Poseidon, carrying Counterfeit software and was heading for the Omegas, most probably. Unfortunately, he engaged the trade lane sequence before we could halt him. We continued our patrol, but everything was clear until we started off on our way back to Baden Baden.
While we were travelling the Trade lanes, strange communication signals intefered the system-wide communication channels. I can't really compare it to anything I've ever seen before. At that moment, we knew the Wilde were indeed present. Admiral Malte ordered us to take up defensive perimeters around the planets and scan for contact. The scanners remained clear and we were about to start another patrol when a Border World Exports trader ship reported that the Wilde ships were near the New Berlin jump gate. We took up a reserve ship called Wisslor and headed to the mentioned location.
An Wilde gunboat, the Eselin and a Wrait, piloted by Wolfram Manfred were waiting for us. We quickly engaged the hostile contacts. Our priority was the Eselin. Despite the fact that no bombers were around at that moment, we took the ship down rather easily. Herr Chezberger and Herr von Speer also arrived during the fight. All of a sudden, two ships controlled by the rogue RBT units attacked us for a reason remaining unknown to me. As soon as the gunboat was down, Wolfram Manfred was our next target, who was a rather difficult one to take down while the AI ships were assiting him. They dispatched the Wisslor fairly quickly, I'm not aware of any survivors. Admiral Malte took on the Wilde fighter, while Herr von Speer and Herr Stein attacked the AI units. Noticing that he was flying a bomber, the RBTs started tracking Herr von Speer, who was bravely fighting them until near death and took one of them out with an incredibely well-placed shot. RBT-82 was crippled and the AI unit retreated.
All contacts were taken care of, we were ordered to return to Stuttgart and stand down. Another glorious victory by the Rheinland Military, no rogue combat machines or half-alien military members can stand against the might of the Rheinwehr.

Notes: These Wilde ships are nothing like I've ever seen. The gunboat looks alien, but it doesn't look like the "Nomad" ship designs I've seen in reports and documentaries. Quite a shame we weren't able to capture anything valuable, the gunboat got blown to bits and the Wilde fighter unit got away. How they were able to mount a nomad weapon on a Wraith class fighter is again a mistery to me. I hope the science teams can come up with something valuable regarding this topic.

Guten Tag piloten,

Not a particularly eventful day of patrolling this was, although we spent a lot of time in space today.

Patrol Report Segment #1, 15:34-16:52

The patrol began with Hauptgefreiter Drum calling us in to help him with his duties of supervising the embargo and trade going on around planet Hamburg, since the traffic was too high for one ship to properly keep under control. I took off from Planet New Berlin and headed there at once.
The traffic was indeed rather large, although fortunately most of the ships passing through were freelancers and independent traders with no material under embargo on board. Hence, the first problem was a gunboat called Zorg The Bog, belonging to a the reserve wing of the Rheinwehr. He switched his IFF to the one belonging to the regular Military (which being us, of course) without having the proper autherisations to do so. Myself and Herr Drum patiently explained him how he is not allowed to do so, so he quickly switched back to the proper IFF coding. I'd take the liberty of recommending someone to tell the Federal Police to check out some of the traders at Altona station, since I'm quite confident he purchased the IFF from a black market agent.
Our next issue was a smaller independent Libertonian convoy, consistant of the ships Cyfer (Dromedary class), Sergeant (Rhino class) and Sandrosi (Rhino class). They were attempting to run the embargo by carrying High-temperature alloys to Liberty, Herr Drum, me and the gunboat Saale, which arrived in the meantime handled the case by ordering the traders to turn around and load their cargo off at a nearby station.
Our last encounter was with an independent Bretonian transport, designation Ramke, who was carrying Boron, claiming to have originated from LD-14. The main issue was his escort, a mercenary piloting a Pretorian class Corsair bomber, called Xcasei. Even though the captain of the Ramke was really trying to get his mercenary into Rheinland, a reserve pilot called Rudolf Macht escorted the bomber out of Rheinland. I presume we're better off that way.
As soon as things seemed to be under control, we begun a short patrol with Herr Drum. We went back to Berlin and we were lucky enough to encounter a Gull class transport, loaded with artefacts, designation Tafoka-Mu. Since he had a Researcher ID on board, we let him pass without asking any further questions, despite that, he took our routine inspection as some sort of insult.
We recieved reports of SCRA vessels flying around the Omega-3 and Omega-7 systems, but fortunately, they didn't penetrate Rheinland space. We finished our patrol and I landed on Planet New Berlin to perform orbital patrol duties.

Patrol Report Segment #2, 18:12-19:03

As soon as my orbital patrol duties were over, I took off and met Herr Hauptgefreiter Drum and Herr Gefreiter Schultze in space, near Bonn station. Herr Drum ordered us to perform a Rheinland-wide patrol duty, which resulted in the resortion to Stuttgart, Berlin and Omega-7 due to some stops we had to make in the meantime.
Stuttgart was all clear, we didn't have any signs of hostile activity besides a malfunctioning trade lane, I personally don't think it was sabotage, there was no trace of any ships around. Omega-7 was however, an entirely different issue. First of all, we headed to Hegoland station and we were lucky to find it in a fully operational state with no pirate activity around. Just as we were heading back to the trade lanes, Herr Drum picked up a ship on his sensors. We headed off to check it out at once, and we found the wreckage of an armored transport called Monschau in a gas pocket near the station. It was most probably a former Daumann or Kruger transport. No life signs were on board, the ship was even looted dry if equipment, as my scan ordered by Herr Drum indicated. The ship must have been drifting in the pocket for weeks or months. We continued to patrol Omega-7, eventually we got caught up in another constellation of explosive gas pockets, which damaged our ships' shields and hull. We were lucky to get out alive, unlike some corsair wrecks that were drifting all around us. As soon as we were near the jump gate leading back to Stuttgart, something... happened to my systems. It must have been an ion storm caused by the nebula. My communications, my navigation and my weapons were all shut down and I was drifting in the unknown with failing life support. Luckily, it quickly came back and I was able to re-join the patrol. I experienced the same in Stuttgart too, as we were heading back, along with Herr Schultze, but both of us could re-join the patrol quickly. I'd like to peronally remark that I *hate* doing patrols in Omega-7.
Near Planet Stuttgart, Herr Drum informed us that he recieved comm signals from sentries in Bering that Libertonian ships (possibly two gunboats and a fighter or bomber) was approaching torwards Hamburg. Eventually, Herr Feldweber Voss joined our patrol, while unfortunately Herr Drum had to experience the after-effects of the gas pockets we caught in Omega-7, but according to Herr Drum's orders, me and Herr Schultze went to Planet Hamburg, while we also filled Herr Voss in on the situation. For some strange reason, a whole battlefleet of reserve pilots were orbiting Planet Hamburg (The RNC Prometheus Battleship and the RNC Piri Reis Cruiser along with a Bounty Hunter Gunboat designated as Wolf). At that time, the Libertonians already turned around and left without violating our borders.
The only incident that happened at that time was that the BHG Wolf shot a few bursts at my direction, for some reason and when I told him to stop, he moved away a few meters and engaged his cloaking device. After recieving the permission to land, I landed on Planet Hamburg and finished the patrol for today.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag piloten,

What I'm about to write is highly confidental and is to be kept in secrecy unless the High Command says otherwise. We found some things during our patrol that could endanger the well-being of the entire Vaterland, if it's not in the process already.

My patrol began with the regular procedures, I took off and since no other Kriegsmarine were available, I decided to patrol New Berlin on my own. The only encounter I had was a Rogue Kingfisher-class ship, designation Neon Knight. He was carrying two IDs, which is illegal according to Rheinland laws. I instructed him to get rid of the one he deemed to be less fit, he eventually got rid of the Freelancer ID, so I had to escort him out of Rheinland. Fortunately, I didn't have to use force.
Afterwards, I met Oberleutnant Von Speer, who instructed us to fulfill embargo supervision duties near Planet Hamburg, a reserve pilot called Wenzel Kreuzchen joined us. Herr Von Speer had a suspicion on two merchant ships who were potential embargo runners, so we flew to the Hudson jump gate to check them out. Just as we reached the gate, Herr Kreuzchen called for backup due to being under attack by a Libertonian Gunboat, called Dimitry2501. Herr von Speer and I quickly got to Altona station, where the fight was taking place and the Oberleutnant took the gunboat out with a well placed Antimatter cannon shot. As it was later found out, the ship was carrying a Mercenary ID and attacked Reserve Pilot Kreuzchen because he asked him to leave Rheinland with his warship.
Just as we were about to return to Hamburg, we recieved a signal from Hauptgefreiter Drum that he encountered an Order vessel in Stuttgart, fully armed with Nomad weaponry and he might have needed some backup to order him out. Fortunately, Herr Drum handled the case before Herr Von Speer and I got there without firing a single shot.

The tough part is about to follow. As Herr Von Speer left, Herr Drum instructed me to form a wing with him so we can check if the the Order fighter really left Rheinland and the surrounding Omegas. Our first stop was Omega-7, luckily the Order fighter was nowhere to be found and we managed to avoid the hazardous nebulas aswell. Our next stop was the Omega-11 system. It was clear aswell, but we had other things to encounter, most probably more dangerous than a single order fighter.
As we entered Omega-11, my sensors immediately picked up a massive projection of radiation, originating from the giant sun in the middle of the system. It was not fatal on the short term and thanks to Daumann's satellite path, we managed to avoid both the asteroid and radiation pockets. As we got to Solaris station (I have to confess, I was rather surprised that anybody lives in such a desolate and harsh sector, but fortunately Herr Drum was familiar with the region), we both docked and refuelled. Herr Drum finished a few minutes earlier, so he had time to go to the bar, where he met an old friend of him or something alike, I'm not really aware of the details. His friend informed him that an older colleague of him went missing some time ago and since it's priority for the Rheinwehr to protect the civilian populace, we immediately took off to find him, as I gathered, he was some sort of important Daumann employee anyway.
Since Herr Drum's contact provided the last known coordinates of the missing ship, we didn't have a hard time locating him, our only problem was the fact that he was in a flaming asteroid belt, located right near the main star, which was spreading its radiation all over the system, so its almost direct presence had five times the effect we experienced earlier. The ship was literally a melted wreck without any signs of life ever being in it. Still, we ran a quick scan, but it was only a bunch of iron and cables remaining. Herr Drum instructed us to go back before we were both turned into the Daumann ship's state.
During my stay near the sun, my left wing almost melted, my weapons systems went offline and I even almost lost my comm system before we got back to Solaris, luckily the locals were experienced in repairing that sort of damage, so we didn't have any problems with operating the fighter afterwards. I'll have myself checked with the medics as soon as the report is filed for radiation damage, although I'm confident that the shielding was strong enough.
After testing our systems, Herr Drum instructed us to depart the system. While we were flying, a quick contact flashed up on our scanners, a hostile ship, designation Durand Durand. Herr Drum ordered us to do a short sweep, but since we couldn't find it, we thought it was a simple emission from one of the many wrecks to be found in the system. We re-established contact later on, but he was unwilling to give a proper answer to our questions, so Herr Drum ordered me to ignore him.
The only thing we failed to detect was the fact that we didn't use the Daumann navigation bouys, so we had to return using the unexplored path. As we were flying, my sensors picked up an anomalous gravity well, a few clicks away from my fighter. Since there were a lot of anomalies in the system, we didn't bother checking it, but we somehow got closer to the source. We discovered it was a jump hole, I've only used such things twice during my time with the Rheinwehr. We ran a few basic scans on it, it was stable, relatively rapid, and it didn't seem to lead too far out from the Omega cluster. Herr Drum ordered me to watch out while he was testing the jumphole, he could only enter on the second try.
I didn't enter the system, so I'll only report what Herr Drum said via the comms channel. Upon entering, he reported that the whole system was desolate and empty, only a large asteroid field was to be found, scans didn't indicate anything but a few uncharted planets. As he was heading back, he saw... Rheinwehr fighters approaching. I have to say, that message really reassured me, I thought at that moment that we found a jumphole leading to Dresden (hence the asteroid fiends), but then... I recieved a transmission from Herr Drum. It was rather simple, yet the most troublesome I've ever heard from a fellow comerade.

Strange weapon sounds and sheild impact sounds followed as the communication went down. I couldn't make contact with Herr Drum for half a minute, then he burst through the Jump Hole ordering me to leave the system immediately in a really troubling tone. I formed up and we left for Stuttgart. He told me that there was an extremely large Wilde that attacked him upon entry. We... might have found their base.
I have to admit, I thought Herr Drum was "infested" by the Wilde, but I honestly don't know how these creatures live, parasite, infest or multiply. Herr Drum's behaviour later reassured me that he was still in a perfect human state, I'd still like to have a medical checkup on both of us upon our return.

After a brief moment of pause at Stuttgart, I took off to help Herr Feldweber Voss to supervise the embargo at Hamburg, I think Herr Von Speer will be particularly interested in the events that took place, although I wouldn't exactly say we are sure that the things happened according to what how they seem to have happened. A Zoner ZBT, designation Phantom Shipping attended the blockade we had set up, our scans indicated that it was filled with Plutonium. After a bit of negotiation, Herr Voss told me to let him go, since the Zoner told us he is willing to submit his ship to the long-range tracking of Westfalen, but he didn't wait for us to give the go code. As the traffic seemed to be low afterwards and the reserve cruisers had the situation under control, I went off duty after recieving Herr Voss' permission to do so.

Please treat this report with the uthmost secrecy available. I'm afraid that whatever we discovered in the unknown system could be very dangerous, I trust the handling of the case to however the High Command deems neccesary, and I'm willing to stand in front of the firing squad if this gets into wrong hands.

==================================================

Now, to something entirely unrelated. Forgive me for attaching this along with the above report, but I just finished writing the previous one when the following event occoured.

The RHA Assault of New Berlin

A rather shameful event that happened today, although I did my best, the event resulted in utter failure. I was in the barracks when we got a distress signal to take off and assist the Rheinwehr forces against a Red Hessian cruiser that showed up right near Planet New Berlin. Of course, such an event couldn't be ignored, so I slipped into my boots, put on my coat and ran to the hangar to take off.
As I took off, a reserve pilot called Wenzel Kreuzchen (who also participated in the operation mentioned before) joined me on our way to Planet New Berlin, to assist the RNC Saale. Unfortunately, we never made it to the planet.
The first contact we encountered was the RHA Messerschmidt, near Dortmund Station. Of course, the others soon followed, and I gave Kreuzchen the orders to engage before they completely surrounded us. RHA Maximilian Hess, Von Klaussen and the Stuka joined to back the Messerschmidt up, fierce combat followed.
The battle took 10-15 minutes and we almost managed to take Maximilian Hess down, who got resupplied by his comerades two times during the engagement. As the time passed, the RHC Von Rohe came to survey the fight and provide the terrorists with assistance if necessary, but it somehow didn't interfere with weapons. Reserve pilot Kreuzchen fought with uthmost bravery, but they hopelessly outnumbered us, though I'd hate to admit it, we never really had a chance. Herr Kreuzchen's ship got shot down, I don't know if he survived.
I tried to hold them off as long as possible in hopes of recieving aid, but I was disappointed to see the fact that only more Hessians came. RHA Otto von Barring and Gunther Hoerst entered the area a few minutes afterwards. For some reason, the one called Hoerst wanted to call his men off so he can take me on alone. Even though I only had a few bots and bats left, I was entirely out of ammo and my ship was crippled, fighting against one seemed to be a better idea than seven, so I agreed to join the strange tradition and go on the Hessian alone.
The fight lasted for around ten minutes, the results are obvious. I passed out as my reactor core blew my ship up, I don't know how I got into the central Berliner hospital.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag piloten,

I'm sending this file to report the happenings that took place yesterday, unfortunately I wasn't able to send the file until I was done with the necessary preparations to get my fighter up and running.

Just as I took off from Planet Hamburg, I spotted a trader surrounded by a wing of reserve pilots who were shouting with each other on the local communication channel. I asked what was going on at once, and one of the reserve pilots briefly explained me that the trader, designation Dro was carrying Artifacts and was refusing to drop them. Reserve pilot Carl Hofmann gave the trader ten seconds to drop the cargo, but as the countdown expired, the cheeky trader attempted to fool us by dropping only two pieces. Which, of course made us loose all our good will. I warned the trader for one, last time, but since he didn't react for another 15 seconds, I instructed the pilots to open fire. The transport ship began to run for it, but the Bumblebee's thin plating quickly succumbed to the concentraded fire of the patrol group.

The next encounter we had was a slaver ship, designated as LostProphet. It appeared half a minute after the artifact smuggler was taken out, unfortunately the patrol group wasn't in one piece yet. The smuggler broke the trade lane and attempted to go to the far side of Planet Hamburg, but he turned around halfway there. Since I ordered him to cut his engines and as he ran, we shot multiple cruise disruptors at him and still he kept running, I authorised the reserve pilots to fire at will. Unfortunately, the Hamburg mooring point was not informed of the running smuggler and he could dock before we took his hull down. We almost had him, nevertheless.

Since no further trader ships came for a while, I instructed the reserve pilots to take care of the embargo and begun a patrol of the Vaterland. I went through Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich. Everything was as clear as it should be, so I initiated a docking pattern with Battleship Regensburg to refuel and rearm. Just as the last liters of H-Fuel were loaded up, I recieved a transmission from a civilian fighter that he spotted a Red Hessian cruiser as he was passing through the Hamburg system. I called for backup on the Military Secure Channel, Admiral Malte and Feldwebel Voss immediately responded and took off to space to track down and destroy the Hessian Cruiser. Admiral Malte instructed Herr Voss to search for the ship, which wasn't found until I got to Planet Hamburg.

I met Frau Malte commanding the Schwanstein and Herr Voss at the previously mentioned location and begun the search together. Herr Voss established contact with the Hessian cruiser first while he was located on the far side of Planet Hamburg. It turned out that the RHC Bayern is the mentioned ship, a Vidar class cruiser commandeered by a captain under the influence of alcohol, which eventually costed the lives of him and his whole crew. Frau Admiral Malte ordered the Bayern to shut down its systems and prepare to be boarded, but the captain of the ship instructed his men to fight and threathened them to be shot if they don't follow orders. We had to open fire. Even though the Bayern's firepower was superior to the Schwanstein's, its armor plating was weaker, weak enough to be neutralised by our concentrated fire in a matter of minutes. I'm not aware of any survivors.

Since the Schwanstein was damaged and one of its decks was burning even after the fight, Frau Malte ordered us to return to Planet Hamburg, where she docked the Altona Station to commence repairs. Herr Voss was assigned to lead a patrol wing around Rheinland, but we didn't get too far as we spotted enemy ships right near Alster shipyard. Herr Voss and I commenced pursuit into the asteroid field, as they didn't respond after Herr Voss' hails. As we got closer, we identified a Hessian fighter of unknown class, designated as Sabazius, which seemed to be escorting the Zeitgeist, a highly possible pirate transport of unknown origin. Herr Voss cut his engines and didn't continue the pursuit, since as it later turned out, we were walking into an ambush.

As we were leaving the field, I started experiencing a sudden loss of energy from my engines, I immediately had to return to Alster to identify and repair the problem, which took all the time until today morning. The engineers didn't inform me on any details of the power loss, but they managed to repair my ship and get it working once again.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag piloten,

Yet again an eventful day which resulted in an inappropriate ending. Three segments went down, an embargo supervising, a combat simulation with Oberleutnant Herr Von Speer and a massive battle with the Red Hessian Army.

Embargo supervision duties at Hamburg

The day began with getting my new bomber up and running. After a quick test flight, I headed off to Planet Hamburg to help Hauptgefreiter Weissman with embargo duties. The first contact we had was a Golem Class Mover, designation Lord Asgard, with a Bounty Hunter transmitter on board. When the peculiar ship carrying Luxury Food approached the blockade, Herr Weissman immediately ordered him to stop. The ship claimed to be unaware of the embargo between Rheinland and Liberty and turned around to get rid of its cargo when Herr Weissman ordered him to do so without resistence. Another wannabe runner was a Rhino class freighter, designated as Leiard. I caught the ship just as it was about to initiate trade lane sequence to Alster. I ordered him to turn around and take his material back to Liberty, but he attempted to get away once again. Since I stopped him, I didn't have to tell him again, he turned back to Liberty at once.

In the meantime, the Saale under the command of Oberleutnant Westerman joined us and took command of the embargo supervision duty. Since no freighters were travelling around and I had some Unioner pilots in my cargo hold, I asked permission from Herr Westerman to offload the prisoners at Westfalen. After being authorised to do so, I initiated the trade lane sequence and docked to the Westfalen. As I undocked and wanted to return, I spotted a Luxury Liner belonging to a Zoner, passing through the area, designated as ZAS~Spartacus. After scanning the ship, it turned out that the ship was carrying an incredible amount of slaves on board, so I powered my weapons up and ordered the Zoner to cut his engines. Surprisingly, the Zoner didn't try to run, but he said that the slaves they had on board were taken to be free men. I didn't understand at first, but the captain of the ship informed me that the Spartacus is a ship belonging to the faction called Zoners Abolishing Slavery. After a shorter negotiation, I wanted Herr Westerman to let the ship go, but instead, he ordered the captain to load his cargo off at the Westfalen. I didn't really know how the conversation followed, as my attention was diverted by something else.

A pirate transport, designated as Trader87 tried slipping past us, while we were busy. Luckily, I scanned his cargo and found 3397 units of Cardamine on board. Reserve pilot Kreuzchen also spotted the ship and we headed after it. I ordered the smuggler to stop and drop his cargo, but he didn't respond to my messages and tried to flee instead. Since after one, last warning and multiple released Cruise disruptors, he still didn't stop, I ordered Herr Kreuzchen to open fire at the smuggler. He attempted to enter multiple trade lane rings, but I got ahead him and disrupted the lane. As he saw his case was lost, he attempted to engage his cloaking device. A well placed SNAC of mine finished the smuggling attempt.

As we got back, Herr Westerman decided that the Zoner is free to go with our escort. He ordered me and Herr Kreuzchen to escort the ship out of Rheinland while they did a patrol around New Berlin. The Abolitionist ship left to the Sigmas without trouble. After a short patrol, I landed on Battleship Strausberg and went temporarily off-duty.

Combat simulation with Oberleutnant August von Speer

A few hours afterwards, I met Herr Von Speer in Braunschweig to simulate combat and train one on one fighter dogfight tactics and techniques. We altogether simulated combat three times, which took zirka two hours plus an hour long pause and an interruption by a Lane Hacker cruiser. The first simulation was the longest one. I concentrated on evasion without putting the proper emphasis on the usage of weaponry, so I could hardly cause proper damage to Herr Von Speer's ship. The simulation was interrupted the systemal entry of a Lane Hacker destroyer, designated as Jarek z.h.l.. I'm still wondering how the ship got the the classified Military Guard system, but along with the RNC Weisbaden, we made short work of it and continued the simulation with hardly any interruption. Herr Von Speer eventually exhausted me and took my ship down.

An hour later we continued, according to Herr Von Speer, my technique improved a lot, since I knew what to pay attention to. I managed to cause damage to his ship, but it still wasn't enough until the third attempt. During the last simulation with the combination of Cruise disruptors, mines and a better aim of energy weapons, I almost managed to take him out on multiple occasions. The test has been completed. I have to say, it was a real pleasure to train with Herr Von Speer, he is a really skilled pilot, especially expertising in the usage of flanking manouvers, weapons shifting, mine usage and razor usage. I'm honored to have learned from him.

Red Hessian attack on New Berlin

Almost directly after the training, I returned to New Berlin to join my comerades on patrol. Red Hessian ships have been sighted in the system, the first one at Dortmund, designated simply as RHA. It was relatively quickly dispatched by the concentrated fire of Feldweber Voss, Hauptgefreiter Weissman and a few corporate pilots. As we congratulated Herr Voss, we recieved a transmission on system comms originating from a Hessian ship telling that Herr Voss made a mistake. We regrouped at Dortmund, split into two wings and began a system-wide patrol of New Berlin. Herr Voss and Herr Weissman led the two wings, Herr Weissman's group sighted the Hessians first. There were only two on the first sight (Deneth Aleski and Gunther Hoerst), but as we all got there, about three-four wings of them emerged from the nearby asteroid field. We quickly got rid of diplomacy as the Hessians opened fire with hardly a warning given.

The Military started with the upper hand. Our two wings with shifted targets took Deneth Aleski out in the first few minutes, but we soon had to pay triple the price for the Hessian pilot. Gefreiter Schultze, Flieger Kreuzchen and at the end, even Hauptgefreiter Weissman were taken out by the Hessians, while we didn't manage to neutralise one single Hessian. I know I'm not in position to do so, but I'd like to put the blame on the lack of organisation. As our first target was shot down, all the ships started randomly shooting at the Hessians, while they were split into groups of two-three and focused fire on our fighters. Admiral Malte ordered us to focus fire on Adolf Hessler, and no way I want to criticize the esdeemed Frau Admiral, but all our fighters shooting at one target didn't achieve too much either. I don't know if Hessler eventually survived the battle, since my ship was shot down at the end of the fight aswell, the Rotes Kreuz recovered my escape pod.

I know I'm not in a position to determine such things, but I strongly believe that our tactics need revision, I'm really not overjoyed by the fact that the Hessians and the Libertonians both beat the glorious Rheinwehr. I talked with Oberleutnant Von Speer and Goodmen about the issue, I think Herr Von Speer has the topic up to discussion in the neural net.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

This report serves to introduce the happenings of smaller events that took place between the 21st and 22nd of September. Since I didn't have time to take a pause between these two days, I'll take the liberty of introducing them together.

Day #1, 21.09.817

I started my patrol of the New Berlin system somewhere in the late afternoon with my Snubnose bomber. I did a quick routine scan on my weapon and shield systems and since everything was in order, I took off. Just as I got into space and I was still undocking, I recieved a strange comm signal on the New Berlin system communication FTL. The message is as follows: "engaging RM", it only took a few seconds to figure out that I was the recipient of the message and the sender was a Red Hessian Sabre, later turned out to be designated simply as RHA. I was still undocking when the fighter sent me the message and initiated his combat protocols, but I succeeded in getting my weapons ready by the time he got close. The fight became relatively hard as we were hit by a heavy ion storm in the meantime. I have to admit, he managed to flank me for a few times, taking into account that I was flying a bomber, but thanks to his lacking mine evasion skills and a lucky SNAC shot, I managed to take him out. I wanted to go to Hamburg to supervise the embargo, but the heavy ion storms prevented me from doing so and I had to land on Essen until the storm was over.

About ten-twenty minutes later, the storm went away and I was able to patrol Rheinland's space safely again. I did a quick circle around the New Berlin lanes. Just as I was about to finish, I recieved a transmission from Flieger Wenzel Kreuzchen. He was requesting for backup to deal with a Hessian Sabre (designation Sabazius) and a Pirate transport (designated as Zeitgeist) it was escorting. The two Hessian ships were starting to attack Herr Kreuzchen just as I got there, I powered my weapons up and joined the fight. My priority target was the Zeitgeist , a transport that obviously had valuable material in its cargo hold as the Sabazius immediately opened fire at me when the fighter's pilot noticed I had his companion among my crosshairs. I managed to drive quite a few well-placed SNAC shots below the transport's shield and eventually took its hull down to 2,6%. For some reason, the Sabazius shifted targets and shot a few energy bursts at the Zeitgeist with full power given to the hull breakers. I have no idea why the Sabre did such a thing, but the pilot destroyed the very transport he was trying to protect, I guess it was in order to prevent some sort of intel, cargo or anything of that sort from getting into the Military's hands. Afterwards, I targetted the remaining fighter, which offered quite a challenge to my newly acquired Snubnose bomber. He managed to get below my shields and hit my power core with a mini-razor, which blew up leaving a large explosion with itself. My ship started to burn up and I lost navigation, communications, weapon systems, only a 21% life support and my hull remained intact. I was drifting in space for two-three hours while keeping my consciousness, I was eventually found by a Police patrol who took me into the infirmary on Planet Hamburg. Since I hardly suffered anything more than minor flesh wounds, I could continue my duties a day afterwards. I don't know how the battle ended, but Flieger Kreuzchen was still in combat when my ship got disabled.

Day #2, 22.09.817

After leaving the hospital on Hamburg and getting my new Snubnose in flight, I continued where I left off during the previous day, supervising the trade embargo, that is. My first contact was a seemingly independent convoy consistant of two large transports, designated as Neu Mann and Firraeveus Caron. As they reached the Planet, I requested them to shut their engines down and prepare to be scanned. Both ships had Gate and Trade lane parts on board, which are under embargo unless they are ferried by the Ageira Technologies corporation. I scanned for IDs at once. The vessel Firraeveus Caron was equipped with the proper ID and clearence to haul such parts, but Neu Mann didn't have an ID at all. I asked the captain of the Neu Mann why the ID was missing, he didn't respond for a short half minute. I asked him to reply and a few seconds later I asked him to reply again with telling him that irresponsive ships are taken as hostiles, but he immediately tried to engage a cloaking device, a device which I've been seeing more and more frequently every day. In the meantime, Herr Feldwebel Voss arrived aswell, and since we considered the cloaking device attempt as a method of fleeing, orders to open fire were given. We quickly took the trader's ship out and ordered the vessel Firraeveus Caron to leave the area.

A few minutes later a Bumblebee class transport arrived, designated as Supreme Intelligence. I ordered the ship to stop while I was scanning its cargo and it did. Since he had 1800 units of Neon on board, I asked where the shipment was from and he told me that it originated from Liberty. I asked him if he was aware of the trade embargo, but instead of replying, he quickly burst through with his thrusters and landed on Planet Hamburg. After landing, he told me that he's "only aware of liers". I informed him that he just got himself registered for the list of people owing 4 million tax to the Rheinland government.

After that particular event, I took a short pause. When I returned to duty, the new Embargo tax system was inacted. We were ordered to treat traders accordingly, but unfortunately, we met more difficult cases than a few transports passing by. A Colossus class megatrain designated as Askari tried passing through us. I ordered the captain to stop, and he pretended to do so, but he kept engaging his cruise engines and thrusting while killing his engines. He told us to follow him to an asteroid field where he said he would be willing to relase the cargo, but we didn't take the bait. We ordered him to stop continously, but since he only pretended to do so and kept saying "ok" "ok" "ok" "ok", I ordered Herr Kreuzchen to open fire. Before we took him down, he told us he'd surrender and dropped two slaves only, but kept drifting with EK into the asteroid field. I ordered Herr Kreuzchen to resume firing and we took him out of action. Luckily, most of the Slaves somehow survived in the parts of the destroyed cargo pods, so I called in the Rotes Kreuz at once to collect the poor souls before their life support ran out. Some Bundschuh recruit pilots tried sabotating our rescue attempt, but they had no chance to do so. The Rotes Kreuz collected the slaves and took them to Hamburg where the Government assumed control of the situation. We saved a lot of lives today.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Despite the fact that I was only in space for a few hours, me and my wing had to deal with a lot of problems suddenly falling upon Rheinland. Luckily, we managed to contain almost all the crisis situations that erupted in the Vaterland accordingly.

Arrestment procedure of Hessian terrorist Frank Reiner

My patrol began with Oberleutnant Von Speer and Hauptgefreiter Weissman. We made a few circles around New Berlin, both seperately and together. Our first contact was a Red Hessian ship, flown by the pilot Frank Reiner. He flashed up on my sensors while I was in a trade lane sequence between Dortmund and Bonn. I thought it was a malfunction at first, but I reported it to Herr Von Speer anyway, who ordered me to check the perimeter of the asteroid field. Since I found no trace of the contact that showed up earlier, I was ordered to go back to the surroundings of Bonn Station, where the rendezvous was held. A moment after our gathering was made, the contact flashed up on our sensors and the pilot even started to talk. It turned out that the Hessian met Herr Weissman earlier, but the terrorist managed to flee the Hauptgefreiter's wrath. As soon as he got out of range again, Herr von Speer ordered us the break formation and initiate a sweep pattern around the area to locate the ship, which later turned out to be an Odin class very heavy fighter. As soon as the ship was within range again, Oberleutnant Von Speer ordered Reiner, the Hessian pilot to cut his engines and perpare to be escorted to Vierlande. The terrorist didn't try to resist. I was ordered to take the lanes and stir civilian traffic away from the operation zone as Herr Von Speer and Herr Weissman escorted Reiner through to Vierlande. As soon as we got there, Vierlande's boarding team took the traitor into custody, he's probably going to spend the rest of his life without seeing the sun again. Before we finished our patrol, we met a Camara class freighter attempting to take H-Fuel to Liberty from Altona shipyard, designated as Barky. Herr Von Speer instructed the merchant ship to turn around and informed him about the embargo. The trader didn't resist and took the trade lane to New Berlin at once.

Routine patrol with Frau Malte and Herr Drum

Only half an hour passed until I was called on assignment again. We recieved reports of a Hessian gunboat terrorising the civilians in Rheinland, of course I slipped into my bomber at once and tried to track the ship down. When I got there, Frau Admiral Malte and Herr Hauptgefreiter Drum were already fighting the Heimdall class gunboat, designated as Ave with success. I was told not to interfere, as the ship was already crippled by my superiors, but the Hessian broke from attack and shot at me without a warning. Of course I had to defend myself, the damaged gunboat was destroyed by two-three well placed Supernova Antimatter shots.

A patrol around New Berlin, Frankfurt, then New Berlin again followed. We didn't encounter anything particularly interesting besides an increasingly heavy level of trader traffic and a strange communication signal on the New Berlin system FTL, but we had a good conversation in the meantime, at the very least. We got seperated at Bonn Station, Frau Malte had some important matters to discuss with a Bounty Hunter associate of hers and Herr Drum took charge of the patrol to Stuttgart and Omega-11. Everything was perfectly clear, the only interesting thing we met was a jumphole leading to Dresden from Omega-11. Herr Drum seemed to be aware of its existence and judging by all the anomalies in the mentioned system, I wasn't too surprised either. I was just hoping that we wouldn't end up in an unknown system, like we did last time. Also, a backdoor to Dresden calls for awareness. Omega-11 seems like a system that can potentially serve as cover for a lot of threathening activities. As we were going back to New Berlin, Herr Drum experienced some sort of malfunction regarding his mine dispenser, he lost a few activated and fully charged mines during our patrol, one of them even managed to hit me. Herr Drum landed on a Kruger base to repair his weapon systems afterwards.

Just as I got back to New Berlin to join the esdeemed Frau Admiral, my way got blocked by a Unioner Arbeiter class vessel, piloted by Volkmar Henckl. He attacked me as soon as I ordered him to power down his systems. I gained the upper hand at first and caused serious damage to the fighter's hull, but he somehow managed to get his flying skills up to a level that provided quite a match for me. We kept shooting at each other for a rather large amount of time, about 20-30 minutes, I would say. The fighter eventually retreated with 25 nanobots and 3 shield batteries left, while I still had 40 nanobots and full batteries remaining. Frau Admiral Malte took out some sort of gunboat in the meantime with a Police Officer, I'm not aware of the details. My radio transmitter and some other systems took damage during the fight, so I had to land on Battleship Strausberg to have the necessary repairs made.

Red Hessian Army's attack on Hamburg

I was in the cantine when I recieved the next distress signal. It was Herr Hauptgefreiter Drum requesting backup to deal with an appropriate number of Hessians in the Hamburg system. Herr Ralf Hofmann and myself responded, although when I go to the scene of the battle, Herr Weissman, Herr Drum and Herr Kreuzchen were already in a fierce battle with members of the Red Hessian Army. I was immediately told to join the battle, with putting Liona Jones into my crosshairs. Just as she was about to go down, her comerades started resupplying the pilot with nanobots to repair the damage caused to her hull. We lost Flieger Kreuzchen in a matter of minutes and the managed to heavily damage and eventually take down Herr Weissman, who survived with a burning ship for a remarkably long time. It turned out that the supplier of the bots was a Hessian terrorist called Eric Heimdall. The pilot managed to get rid of all of his nanobots and therefore, we shifted targets to him. Herr Drum managed to score the final shots, penetrating Heimdall's hull and reactor core, which managed to blow the Sabre class fighter to pieces. Unfortunately, Herr Drum was heavily damaged and he had to vacate the area, so I was the only one left against two Hessians. Admiral Malte, who was supervising the fight ordered me to retreat, since a lot of lives were lost today. The Hessians returned to their base to resupply and repair afterwards, so did I. My landing was made at Battleship Strausberg, I've been there ever since.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Been a long time since I could report a flawless victory of the Rheinwehr and the complete and utter destruction of enemy forces, but today's happenings were bigger and more glorious than any smaller defeat we had to suffer in the short past.

Training with Leutnant Bjorn Chezberger

The day begun with a training. Herr Chezberger led it. First of all, we assembled to fix the transmitter of Flieger Axel Koch and after having it in place, we headed for Braunschweig to begin the training. The only smaller encounter we had were two corsair fighters, designated as Raptor[EVO.g2h] and Banshee_[Zork.g2h], Herr Chezberger finished them in under a minute, they stood no chance.

The training was supervised by Herr Westerman and Herr Major General Engels, Herr Westerman eventually had to leave due to some system malfunctions. Herr Chezberger, who was leading the training as I mentioned before, scattered Oxygen tanks around the area in hopes of inventing a new method of united target practice (without colliding into each other when pursuing a target), but it failed due to the lack of our understanding. We were eventually ordered to destroy the tanks and begin a standard combat simulation.

Two teams were set up during the practice and we were ordered to simulate a real life combat situation. My team was consistant of Major General Auztin Engels, Hauptgefreiter G?nter Weissman and myself. The opposing force was led by Herr Leutnant Bjorn Chezberger, with Feldwebel Maximillian Voss and Flieger Axel Koch as his wingmen. As the simulation began, we targetted Flieger Koch, as it was ordered by Herr Engels. We eventually took him out, I scored the killing few shots. Leutnant Chezberger was our next target, but since the Op4 was targetting Major General Engels since the start, he was lost before the Leutnant was disabled by a missile. As Herr Engels went down, the "enemy" tried to focus fire on me and I was almost killed when Herr Voss ran out of nanobots and he was killed by a wayward missile aswell. The simulation was very successful, I particularly enjoyed flying with pilots who had such an amazing level of skill and not to mention, we also got ourselves prepared for the next assignment. The assault and occupation of the Texas system from the hands of the Libertonians.

Rheinwehr victory in assault against the Texan Libertonians

As the training was over, Major General Engels ordered us to mobilize. We were planning to go against Texas. Of course, our morale immediately went up to the sky, everyone was eager to fight the Libertonian schweinen. I got back to the Strausberg to switch to hop into my bomber and went off to the meeting point at Hamburg. We quickly assembled the wings. Herr Engels led the operation, Herr Chezberger gave orders during the battles. Other pilots were Feldwebel Voss, Hauptgefreiter Drum and Flieger Koch flying Wraiths, I was the only one besides Herr Engels and Herr Chezberger who chose the bomber. A reserve gunboat, called the RNC Biber Blazer also escorted us to the assignment. The only remarkable encounter we had during the journey to Texas was a pirate train belonging to a Lane Hacker side-faction of some sort. It was designated as VR-VTS-Eclipse, and its cargo hold contained 4279 enslaved men and women. The Leutnant ordered the slaver to release his cargo and since he realised he was in no position to negotiate, he jettisoned his cargo hold into the space in a large capsule. The Rotes Kreuz eventually collected the poor souls and took them to Hamburg to begin a new life. We met the trader at Freeport 2, where he taunted us abusing the neutrality of the ceasefire zone, but he didn't cause any further problems.

No resistence awaited us when our way into Texas was made. The area was clear and we were free to proceed to Planet Houston with only the automated trade lanes shooting at us. About 10 clicks away from the planet, we met our first contact, a Guardian-class Very Heavy Fighter, designated as Cougar 1763, belonging to the 27F Squad, according to his affiliation. Either because he was only a recon ship or because he was scared to death, he retreated literally as soon as he saw us. We were not to pursue. We passed Houston without resistance and Herr Major General Engels ordered us to take positions near the Trade Lanes and await incoming targets. An LSF Agent, called Escrisma tried making way through our forward lines, but the ship turned back as soon as he realised the might we represented.

We didn't have to wait too long for a real battle, fortunately. The LNS Michigan, a Liberty Assault Carrier got caught up in our Trade Lane interruption sequence, he was obviously summoned by the Libertonian ships we scared off earlier. The united might fell upon the careless carrier as we were ordered to attack the ship. The monstrosity's defence systems collapsed like a card castle as we melted its hull with our Supernova antimatter cannons. The beast's life was only made a few minutes longer as a Mercenary Bottlenose-class gunboat designated as John.T, the recon fighter designated Cougar 1763, the LSF Agent, Escrisma and a Liberty Assault Battlecruiser, the LNS Enterprise arrived. The fighters were to focus on the recon-Guardian, which got rather quickly dispatched, while the bombers tried taking down John.T, which was evading relatively well. As soon as it was neutralized, the Enterprise was our next target. We almost took the LABC down, but since we, bombers, were ordered to focus our fire on a newly arriving gunboat, the Wolfsbane, the Battlecruiser Enterprise managed to slip out to Virginia. The captain of the Wolfsbane was obviously new to his duties, as his ship was quickly taken out. Afterwards, only the Michigan remained, I personally managed to shoot the final SNAC projectile into the Carrier's reactore core. That's how the first battle went, the only ship the Libertonians could take out discounted the RNC Biber Blazer was a bystanding fighter belonging to the Junker Congress, which was most probably accidentally shot down by the Michigan.

The next battle begun a minute later, with the arrival of an LSF agent, called Johny Leroy. He was alone and we were ordered to take him out. The ship managed to evade quite well and make his way through to Planet Texas without suffering too many major wounds. LSF Agent Blackcomb and the Liberty Navy fighter flown by Virgil Redline soon entered the combat zone to assist Leroy against our forces, a rather heavy and fast-paced battle followed, as Cpt. Rommel joined the fight on our side and Inspector Trace Whitney from the LPI, the Liberty Navy Fighter Shade Walker, Vigilante Jayce Silvers, a Navy reserve ship called Aerelm and DSC-Void joined the Libertonians. The first enemy down was Agent Blackcomb, shot by Leutnant Chezberger, in orbit around Planet Houston. The LSF pilot obviously survived, as he was messaging from an escape pod after his ship was taken down. Reserve pilot Captain Rommel was the following and our only casualty during the engagement. His ship was disabled and destroyed by LSF Agent Leroy with a well-placed missile shot. For Herr Rommel, the Libertonians had to pay multiple times the price. The battle slowly got drifted away from the planet, as Herr Major General Engels was being shot at by the Libertonians from the very beginning of the first battle and he ran out of nanobots, even though he managed to survive the whole battle without actually leaving it. At that point, Inspector Whitney was taken out by a well placed SNAC shot of Herr Chezberger and almost immediately afterwards, Vigilante Silvers was also taken out. He wasn't exactly a skilled warrior, I don't think he lasted more than a minute. Navy ship Aerelm, DSC-Void, a ship that literally lasted for ten seconds and the Shade Walker were the enemy's next casualties, Agent Leroy and Virgil Redline managed to escape to Virginia. They also tried calling in a LABC, designated as Rocky Yellowstone, but realising they had no chance, the captain ordered an immediate retreat to Virginia.

We managed to completely defeat the Liberty Navy defending Texas without loosing one simple Military member and inflicting massive losses to the enemy side. We regrouped quickly and went off to resupply at a Junker installation. Everyone who was spectating, Bounty Hunters, Zoners, Junkers, Mercenaries and Miners congratulated us, they were obviously glad that we helped them get rid of the opressive Libertonian authorities. Texas was freed and we returned to Rheinland. I docked to Westfalen to resupply, get some strudels, rest and write the report. Glorious day this was.

Subject: Patrol report #10

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

This report was made to introduce you two quick and effective "Hit and Run" campaigns which we carried out today. The tactic is consistant of the rapid assembly of a small assault force and a strike on a key enemy target before reinforcements are in the battlefield.

Texas Strike #1

Our first mission was to take out two unknown-class Libertonian capital ships reported to be in orbit around Planet Houston. Since the MND Agents could hardly provide any more information regarding the two vessels, Herr Major General Auztin Engels decided to personally scout ahead in the dangerous gasps of Libertonian territory. Thanks to his bravery and cunning, we eventually found out that the two ships are in fact two Liberty Navy gunboats with minimal fighter escort. Vize Admiral August Von speer and myself took off from the Moselle immediately and set course for the Texas system.

As the two ships were in his sight, the Major General attempted to lure them away from Planet Houston, so that our bombers could hit them in open space and the enemy orbital installments wouldn't give us trouble. He was successful in this task, although he had to take evasive action, since the gunboats, classified as LNS|Peacekeeper and LNS|-Ionious didn't forget to summon their fighter escorts to pursuit the sole bomber of Herr Engels. Needless to say, Herr Von Speer and myself were there double time. Since Herr Engels was under heavy fire, he ordered the Vize Admiral to assume control of the operation, who ordered me to release the antimatter containment cells and give full power to my Supernova cannon. I carried his order out and charged the infamous tool of destruction, it was ready to melt Libertonian scum in a matter of seconds.

The first target was the Peacekeeper. Even though it was damaged by the time I got to the battlefield, the nanobots placed in its engineering section quickly restored its hull integrity to maximum. Despite that, I wouldn't say the Gunboat lasted more than a minute against the might of three SNACs, the final blow was given by my cannon in particular. The Ionisus realised that it would soon share faith with the other gunboat, so it tried to concentrate on evasion rather than trying to cause damage to us, but it failed to escape, needless to say.

While we were fighting the gunboats, more and more Libertonian ships arrived, the escort crew of two quickly grew to five and then eight. We stood no chance against such a tough opposition, and Herr Engels was hit by a SNAC or a Mini Razor shortly after we took the second gunboat out. Even though reserve pilot Axel Ruhenz joined the battle, we stood no chance, Herr Von Speer ordered the withdrawal of our forces. We made our jump back to Bering, then back to our glorious Vaterland at once. The Mission was successful, the targets were neutralized. The loss of the Major General's ship was most unfortunate, but I'm confident that he will be able to fulfill his duties in a matter of days at most.

Texas Strike #2

The first strike obviously had a major impact on the enemy defences and we managed to cause quite a shock to the Libertonian forces orbitting Planet Houston. Since we saw that our previous attack was successful, we waited for the majority of the enemy defence fleet to clear out and we assembled for another attack in a matter of hours. The strike fleet was led by Vize Admiral August Von Speer, Oberleutnant Ralf Hofman was the second in command. Oberfeldwebel Gunter Weissman and I were the wingmen. Our primary objective was the destruction of any bomber class ship we encounter, that's why the majority of the wing was consistant of Wraith class very heavy fighters. I was ordered to provide bomber support for a possible capital ship encounter, even though we didn't expect any due to the strike we carried out earlier.

As we got to Texas, we were ordered to fly a few clicks above the Jump Gate and move to Houston keeping the same distance. Of course, the Libertonian proximity sensors immediately spotted our presence and a furious word battle erupted on system comms. I personally noticed that the Libertonians didn't really have any support by the civilian population around, some civilian frequencies joining the channel indicated that well enough and wished good luck to the Rheinwehr forces, hoping that we'd get rid of their opressors.

Our attack wing was first spotted by a Navy fighter under the control of Andy Doggett. He would have been a quick target to take out, but something.... happened before we could engage him. A Hessian gunboat, designated as ave literally burst into the system, shouting illiterable words on the system comms and immediately attacked the Libertonians. The Vize Admiral ordered us not to interfere, but as soon as the gunship spotted us, he started opening fire at our attack wing aswell. We were ordered to return fire and concentrate our weapons at the Hessian gunboat. As we were about to finish the intruder, the Libertonian reinforcement wing arrived. Since they had about three times as many fighters and bombers as we did, we had no choice but to abort the mission and retreat. Herr Weissman managed to take a fighter down with a mine during the engagement though.

We weren't held up by the Libertonian forces on our way to Bering, but strange things happened afterwards. Our trade lane sequence between Freeport 2 and the Texas jumpgate was interrupted by two revolutionist ships, a Thor-class Hessian bomber piloted by Ariane von PrimaLuna and a Unioner Eagle designated as Ramke. Our wing turned around and we ordered them to disperse at once. As soon as the second warning was given, they engaged their cruise engines and left the area with making patronising remarks at us and the Rheinwehr. We were about to leave when all of a sudden, the Hessian gunboat ave appeared out of nowhere and fired all of its guns at my idle ship. My hull took major damage, one of my wingmen even remarked that he didn't understand how I survived the salvo, as the fight was over. Outraged, Herr Von Speer demanded us to serve him the head of whoever was in command of the ave, so we all opened fire at the annoying gunboat. In a matter of seconds, Ramke and Von Primaluna arrived and joined the fight aswell, assisting the Hessian gunboat. Our concentrated fire relatively quickly dispatched the Heimdall-class ship, avenging the failure of our previous operation. Ramke was our next target. The Unioner ship didn't stand a chance against us, as it joined the fight in an already damaged state. At the end, it tried to do a suicide collision with Herr Weissman, who still had his shields up, therefore the Eagle, which was literally falling apart at that point got cut up like a piece of butter by a sharp knife. The Kusarian tactic was unsuccessful. Only Ariane Von Primaluna was left. The bomber, which was shooting my ship all along (without causing any remarkable damage), quickly switched to evasive tactics as the whole Rheinwehr assault wing was after its butt. As the ship realised it had no chance to evade, it tried targetting my bomber again with shooting not only guns, but missiles and torpedos at my direction aswell. I, however, had a different tactic in my mind. Since I knew the Hessian was after me, I stopped my thruster with leaving only the base engine on, deliberately trying to give the illusion of the easy prey to the Thor bomber. As soon as it turned around and tried coming close, I've put full power to my thruster and shot an Antimatter projectile directly into the hull of the terrorist bomber, which had its shields down already, thanks to my comrades.

Even though the second raid was not as successful as the first one, we managed to inflict heavy losses to both the Libertonians and the Rheinlander traitors with loosing only one ship in whole. The Rheinwehr had a yet again perilous, but glorious day of serivce.

Subject: Patrol report #11

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Another day at the office. Three smugglers and three terrorists down, no casualties. We also had an interesting training, but Herr Hofmann had that covered up well enough, so I'll concentrate on the happenings that took place afterwards.

A few hours after the training was over, I took off with my bomber from Braunschweig and began standard embargo supervision duties on my own. Hamburg was remarkably quiet, there was almost no traffic around to worry about besides a Junker ship passing through. As soon as it arrived, I ordered the Pirate Transport, piloted by Vivian del Los Santos to cut her engines for a cargo scan, which she failed to do so, leading me to disrupt the trade lane she attempted to take. The ship was loaded with Military vehicles, so I had to utilize more caution than with standard embargo runners. I ordered the ship to move forward to Bremen under my supervision. Captain del Los Santos took the lane, but as soon as we reached the Westfalen, she attempted to initiate a trade lane sequence to the Hudson jump gate. I disrupted the lane again with hopefully no permanent damage caused to it and informed the Junker transport that it was not the right way it was using. I had to wait for almost a minute when a response came, but then the ship engaged its cruise engines and went off to the Bremen Jump Hole without resistence.

Since no other traders entered the area for a while, I landed and took a fighter to continue the patrol. My first, and as it later turned out only, stop was the Frankfurt system. Just as I was heading back from the Sigma-13 Jump Gate, I spotted a Unioner fighter, designated as Union, standing by on the edge of the Westerwald nebula. He was having some sort of conversation with a Republican shipping agent, possibly aimed to pirate his ship, although I couldn't come up with evidence regarding that. Either way, I eventually approached the ship. As soon as I arrived, the factory worker asked me to join their pitiful revolution. I laughed into the comms and told the pilot to go back to Alster shipyard and continue his work on producing our warships instead of coming up with such a unique way to commit suicide. Then he called me a swine of the Kanzler, which led me to order him to power down his systems and prepare to be escorted to Vierlande for inprisonment. Since he wasn't willing to do so, I had to force him with opening fire on his vessel. The fight was rather perilous for both of us, but not particularly because the renegade dock worker was overly skilled at combat, more like because his ship was literally stuffed with explosives, such as Paralyzer, Cannonball, Sidewinder missiles, Nuclear mines and Sunslayer torperos. I have no idea where the labourer got all the explosives from, but it seemed he wasn't particularly paying attention to how hard it was for him to obtain the material, because he literally flooded the battlefield with mines, torpedos and missiles. I wouldn't lie if I'd say I hardly had to use anything more than my cruise disruptor to drown the worksman into his own loadout. His repetative usage of high explosives did damage to my ship, I have to admit, but he was the one who blew up. I landed on Holstein to commence repairs and was in space in a good ten minutes thanks to the workers that didn't choose to rebel.

Almost as soon as I was in space, Gefreiter Wenzl Kreuzchen came on duty. He informed me on the comms channel that the smuggler he met a day ago, a transport designated as [Legends]_von_Claussen was reported to be operating around Frankfurt. The transport was caught smuggling and since he refused to co-operate and opened fire, he was to be dealt with. Since his location was unknown, I ordered Herr Kreuzchen to proceed to Frankfurt and block the Berlin-side jump gate, while I tried to hold the Sigma-13 gate. Eventually, we met Kapit?n Friedrich Lang, who assumed command of the operation after I briefly filled him in on the situation. He took up Herr Kreuzchen and headed to the Hamburg-Frankfurt jumphole, where they eventually spotted the wanted trader. I was there ASAP aswell. The trader had a Kusarian ship of some sort, since he was using a Gull yesterday, he was obviously paid good money for his committed crimes. As Herr Lang ordered me to take control of dealing with the trader, I attempted to put him under arrest after explaining what his was charged with and demanded him to pay the 8 Million Sirius Credits fine for firing upon Herr Kreuzchen earlier. He simply said "lol" (a phrase I oftenly hear being used and never understand, must be some Libertonian slang) and engaged his cruise engines. I ordered him to stop, but since he was using his trusters even after we disrupted him, I authorised the Kriegsmarinen to open fire. He was very quickly dispatched and he obviously learnt a permanent lesson.

Afterwards, sightings came in on two additional Unioner ships around Hamburg. I had to land on Planet Hamburg to refuel and rearm, so the fight between our men and the Unioners was already going on when I launched to space. Dieter Lutz and another ship designated as Union (seems these dock workers are not too creative at naming ships) were fighting Obergefreiter Otto Weddigen, Oberfeldwebel Maximilian Voss and VizeAdmiral Walter Krupinski, who assmued control in Herr Lang's absence. I was told not to interfere, as it would have been an unnecessary waste of manpower and material, so I surveyed the fight. The Union was the first to go down, interestingly enough, this ship blew itself up aswell. The second seemed to be more difficult to take down, but Herr Voss scored the final shot, blowing the angry worker's cockpit, ejecting the poor soul into space without an escape pod. Well, I told them I'd have been happy with assembling turrets on Alster in their place.

When the labourers were taken out, Herr Krupinski organised us into wings and we did a patrol around the Vaterland. I was in a wing with Oberfeldwebel Voss and we were assigned to patrol Hamburg. We managed to encounter a smuggler right on our first waypoint, on the way to the Bering jumpgate. A Firefly transport, designated as Vicius attempted to smuggle cardamine through the Vaterland, and the hidden caches in the transport's hold didn't succeed in covering the 3488 units of poison he had on board. Herr Voss ordered him to stop, but he didn't. Surprisingly enough, the ship approached the Jump Gate, but didn't engage the jump, it went right through it without turning the necessary sequence on and kept drifting around the gate afterwards. Since he didn't respond, Herr Voss fired a warning shot. Then, the trader asked how much we want, we told him that he was to drop everything from his cargobay. His response was a quick engine thrust to the gate and he engaged his jump drive. Of course, we pursued him to Bering, where he couldn't escape. I disrupted his cruise engine after he took a wrong turn and we managed to close up six clicks with Herr Voss and destroyed the vessel.

We resumed the patrol of the Hamburg system, we checked the Hudson gate, the Westfalen, Vierlande, Alster and the Berlin gate. Everything was clear discounted for a trader ship, designated as Karak, which ran through the embargo with a whole cargo hold of Luxury food. In the meantime, Herr Kreuzchen and Herr Krupinski managed to disable or destroy some kind of smuggler carrying counterfeit software, either way, the cargo was destroyed certainly.

As soon as we were back to Planet Hamburg with Herr Voss, the Vize Admiral instructed us to go to Hudson and scout around for possible Libertonian intruders. We didn't find any, but we actually did find a jumphole, connecting Hudson with Bering. "Could be useful", as Herr Voss said.

Eventually, both Herr Krupinski and Herr Voss went off duty, I took command of Herr Weddigen, Herr Drum and Herr Kreuzchen until Oberleutnant Ralf Hofmann arrived. We reported him what happened during the patrols then we went off duty aswell.

Kommandant,

This is Agent Freyberg. We carried scout mission #269-D (aka. Operation Eis Scherbe) out with success. The required intel is secure and is being examined on Schatten. The files were taken there under my personal surveillance safely.

The mission was led by Agent Christian Stein, as you requested. We met up at Battleship Westfalen, in the Hamburg system. While Herr Stein was acquiring the 'Mimic' stealth signal system, I met in space with a Military Hauptgefreiter, called Heinrik Drum. I don't know if the soldat was an undercover MND member, but Herr Stein told him to join the operation, which he did willingly. We didn't waste time, as soon as Stein arrived, I entered formation and we headed off to Libertonian territory.

Our way was made through to Texas via the Hudson system. Even though we used the Trade lanes at first, the Cold Bay terraforming deport didn't detect us due to the icy emissions of Planet Atka directly above it. We managed to slip through to the Texas jump hole, located a few clicks away from the gate, in an asteroid field. While we were heading through, Herr Stein briefed us in space. Our objectives were to gather intel from the Willard research station, a hidden Libertonian base in a Californian nebula.

We quickly made our way through Texas. The immense amount of scrap littered around the system gave us an outstanding cover from the Battleship Mississippi's sensor sweeps and we were not detected by the Libertonian patrols. Even though some of the wreckages produced variative levels of radiation, we rather used the radioactive interference to our advantage, precisely to further cover our advance while hardly suffering any damage thanks to our shielding, seeing that most pirates and junkers avoid these areas due to the hazard they pose. We eventually used a Jump Hole, located in one of the floating debris fields to make our way into the California system.

The jump led us to right in the middle of a dense asteroid field, which also housed a Liberty Rogue base within. Fortunately enough, most pirates were out on raids rather than patrolling their 'turf', so we managed to avoid whatever little level of security they had. Herr Drum and I followed Stein through the field, then through the far side of Planet California Minor, managing to avoid both the Navy and Planetform corporate sensors at the same time. We successfully made our way to Willard research station, without encountering any of the Navy Patrols that were supposed to be in the area. The station's gunners however, did spot us as we got close. Herr Drum diverted the attention of the turrets while Herr Stein and I made our scans on the station. As soon as we were ready, we assembled formation again and headed back to the Jump Hole.

The station, of course alerted all the Libertonian authorities that were available. Police ships were scrambled from San Diego and Navy ships took off from Battleship Yukon. Just as we got to the edge of the asteroid field which covered us before going through California Minor, we spotted four hostile contacts on our scanners, waiting for us at the Texas jump hole. We immediately flew out of range, the Libertonians didn't manage to catch our direct position, but they have made short-range scanner contact. Fighting them was not an option, at least one Liberty Assault Battlecruiser was with them. We had to choose an alternate way out. Herr Stein wanted to take the jump gate to New York and use the badlands as cover to get to the Texas jump hole, but I recommended him not to use this route, since it would be equal to suicide. I saw that taking the jump hole to Pennsylvania and from there to Texas would be our best option to survive, and since we hardly had time to think of any others, Herr Stein ordered us to target the anomaly. We managed to avoid the scanners of the Libertonian ships sweeping the asteroid field and made our jump out to Pennsylvania.

Even though that system is heavily populated and patrols are always common, we managed to avoid any contact with the Libertonian authorities, since we used the cover of the asteroid fields and the shading of the gas giants to manouver safely and quietly. Only a Junker base caught sight of us, but they didn't summon either the pirates or the authorities around, they even seemed to deliberately ignore our patrol going through the system.

We managed to take the jump hole to Texas, but ended up in a Dark matter field, most probably another one produced by the heaps of scrap (or maybe the heap of scrap was produced by the cloud?). Either way, my geiger counter was off the scale and my ship suffered 16% radiation damage to its hull while manouvering through the field, but we managed to survive. We used the same method to cover our retreat as the method we used to enter into Liberty (covering ourselves in scrap, that is) and we managed to flee successfully with all the recovered data. The Libertonian authorities' main units were still in California, searching for our wing at that time.

As always, the Vaterland was an astonishing relief to see again. I made my way to Schatten with the gathered intelligence. About 20 scientists and analizing personell are currently working on decrypting the data we gathered. I'm confident that the information we gathered will be well of our advantage. Operation Eis Scherbe was a complete success.

Subject: Patrol report #12

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Damen und Herren,

From illegal miners to a nomad invasion, the Rheinwehr had to deal with a lot of threats all around the Vaterland and so it did with the uthmost success. Oberfeldwebel Voss and I stood our ground and drew back every single hostile we encountered.

The day began as a regular patrol. I met Oberfeldwebel Maximilian Voss in Planet New Berlin's orbit. We did a quick patrol circle around the lanes of the system, but didn't have to encounter anything but a large amount of traders and their escorts manouvering goods through Berlin. Since everything was clear, we continued our patrol in the Dresden system.

We first checked out one of the Kruger diamond mining fields, where several traders were reported to be mining illegally. The system-wide broadcasting frequencies were full of Hessian communication signals, but they silenced as soon as they heard of our presence. Since they went silent, Herr Voss and I headed into the field to check the miners. Our first target was a Zoner Advanced Train, designated as Hueco_Mundo.Co.[T] and its escort, an Eagle class very heavy fighter, designated as Hunterlord. We scanned for ID cards and licenses, but they didn't have the needed ones, so Herr Voss informed them that they were mining in a private area and instructed them to leave. They didn't resist, they engaged their cruise engines and left the area at once.

One more signal was still coming from deeper into the field. Herr Voss ordered us to power up and check it out. We were surprised to find a Kusari Train, belonging to the Gas Miners Guild, bearing the designation Mine.Corp.Ari&Eldar not only violating the Sigma-13 pact, but also stealing diamonds from Kruger's property. We informed the Gas Miner that he was breaking multiple Rheinland laws and was to drop the stolen diamonds and leave Rheinland immediately or measures were to be taken. We had to reason with the captain of the Kusari Train for a while, he wanted us to shoot him at first, but eventually we made him drop his cargo and leave. We returned the cargo to Bautzen station.

In the meantime, a reserve battleship, designated as RNC_Stormholm joined us. While we were dealing with the unauthorised miners, we picked up multiple contacts on our short-range scanners belonging to the Red Hessians, namingly Moredan Kantose and Maksim Volkov. We couldn't acquire a closer reading on them until we dealt with the miners, as both of them was avoiding our patrol. The Stormholm was positioned to guard the New Berlin jump gate while me and Oberfeldwebel Voss searched for the communist rogue-miners. Our search was triggered by an explosion we picked up on sensors, close to our position. All signs indicated that the ship going down was the Mine.Corp.Ari&Eldar, the GMG Train we escorted out earlier. We immediately started searching for the terrorists who blew up the ship, since we didn't want to be blamed for the sabotage of the GMG vessel. Before we left Kruger's asteroid-nebula, I suddenly lost Herr Voss' signal and I spotted a Hessian, designated as Moredan Kantose just as I left it. I didn't want to engage the terrorist alone, so I did some basic scans and waited for Herr Voss to show up. As soon as he was on scope again, I ordered the Hessian to stand down and prepare to be escorted to Vierlande. He immediately powered his cruise engine up and started running from our prosecution. I started pursuing him, but I lost sight of Herr Voss again. The Hessian entered a nebula and I broke off, since he almost obviously wanted to lure me into an ambush. As soon as Herr Voss was on sensors again, we returned to Bautzen, where we instructed another freighter to stay away from Kruger's mining area (I also warned him of the terrorist activity) and he left immediately.

Since the Hessians wanted to play hide and seek, Herr Voss and I left Dresden with leaving the Stormholm to cover our rear flank. We did a quick circle around New Berlin, but Herr Voss recieved a distress signal from Stuttgart, claiming that three Corsairs were present. We were quicky and were standing by at the gate while I tried summoning reinforcements from the Rheinwehr barracks. Contact was quickly made, the pirates arrived through the trade lane chasing some kind of transporter and I immediately activated my weapon. An Imperator gunboat designated as Antonio~, a Pretorian designated as ShadowDancer and a Freelancer pirate in an IMG Spatial designated as -Vasqes- entered the area. Herr Voss ordered them to go back where they came from. Their communicator was really messed up as they were transmitting segments of static all the time. Even though they wanted to leave, the arrival of the Stormholm made them forget even the slightest thought to turn around and engage us. They only abused the occasion to taunt us as soon as they were out of range. I told Herr Voss that we should have drowned the Corsair worms into their own blood, but they managed to flee.

After a short patrol in the Omegas, we met up with Marninenachrichtendienst Agent Christian Stein, who informed us that there were sighting of Keepers all around New Berlin. Herr Voss and I headed there immediately to clear the area of civilians and secure Rheinland space from the alien invaders. We unfortunately couldn't find one single alien before they destroyed a civilian vessel who was in space despite our warning and escaped to Hamburg. Herr Stein informed us that the xenomorphs left the system and ordered us to follow them while he went back to wherever the MND base is.

The nomads in Hamburg were hard to miss. Two "Wild Dragon" cruisers, designated as RNC Bergheim and RNC Wilhelmshaven and a reserve gunboat, designated as Vyzz were already engaging three alien ships of some sort. The debris around indicated that a Rheinland capital ship and a nomad fighter was already destroyed. Me and Herr Voss thought at first that three capital ships were supposed to handle the situation, but with the destruction of the Bergheim, we were forced to interfere. The nomad with some transmitter indicating the name Enki was our first target. The alien morph was quite hard to hit, the organical creature seemed to be quite a 'skilled' pilot or ship or whatever it was. It managed to evade quite well, while the Rheinland reserve pilots that joined the fight (Alexander Wald, Wild Dragon Kai Skirata and the gunboat Vyzz) were quickly shot down. Somehow, the nomad ship designated as Zalktis somehow managed to take me out of of the fight, while the rest of the aliens were targetting Herr Voss' bomber. I managed to cause sufficient damage to Zalktis, leading the nomad ship to withdraw from the fight. Only Enki and Zakar were left, so we denied the request of even more reserve pilots to join the fight. Something must have been misunderstood, since all the reserve pilots that were present powered down to standby mode, while another nomad, designated as Ishkur joined, all of them having Herr Voss under fire. The fight was very vicious, I had to give some of the reserve pilots to join the fight, which unfortunately led them *all* to join the fight at the same time (someone should really teach these reserve pilots to follow clear orders). Either way, we almost destroyed Enki when the nomad attack wing disengaged and retreated to the nearby asteroid field to find cover. The Wild Dragon cruiser designated as Wilhelmshaven continued to pursue them, but he was ordered to keep away from the asteroid field. The captain of the ship was obviously raging because the loss of his comrades. More and more reserve pilots and eventually even an RFP Polizist, Herr Niberlung joined us. As soon as the aliens were out of range, we returned to Hamburg to reload our ships with Herr Voss.

Just as I was about to fetch some strudels, Herr Voss stood in front of me and told me that we still have some business to conduct. The two Hessians we met earlier in Dresden, Maksim Volkov and Moredan Kantose, showed up in Hamburg to pirate on the traffic going through Alster and the Planet. I jumped back into my Wraith and took off. We met the Hessians at the reported location. The communists, as soon as they saw us, started to run into the asteroid field. The Oberfeldwebel ordered us to intercept the terrorists and we successfully disrupted them before they fled. They took the fight up to us eventually, but Kantose was hit by Herr Voss' SNAC, resulting in the immediate destruction of his ship. The other one, Maksim Volkov attempted to run, and we could not catch him before he left through the Frankfurt jump gate even though some reserve pilots joined the chase.

Rheinland was once again clear of hostiles, we landed on Alster shipyard to file the report and fetch some strudels.

Subject: Patrol report #13

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

This report is existent to introduce you the happenings that took place between 15.10.917 and 13.10.917

12th October

I began my duty in the afternoon originally with Major Bjorn Chezberger, but Oberfeldwebel Maxilimian Voss quickly joined us in space. Herr Chezberger gave us orders to establish a blockade near Planet Hamburg to supervise the trade going through the area. Two reserve pilots, Mr. Dom and Andrey Volkenstein joined us aswell, Herr Chezberger gave them seperate orders, namingly to patrol the Vaterland while we were to supervise the embargo.

The first vessel to pass through was a Freelancer trader with an LPI transmitter, designated as Kilroy Jones. His cargo hold contained Consumer goods, so we allowed him passage, even though Herr Chezberger was later concerned that the goods were possibly tapped since the trader attempted to leave the area before we allowed him to do so. An armored transport tried to pass next time, designated as Dan Vega. The ship had neon on board, which is rather hard to be turned into a weapon so we granted him passage.

The next ship however, was an interesting sight to encounter. A Junker Salvage Frigate, designated as Vivian del Los Santos attempted to move Copper into Liberty and wanted to commit who knows what other acts of sabotage the captain had in mind. As soon as the ship arrived to Hamburg using a trade lane, we ordered the captain to stop for a cargo hold examination. She didn't resist, so we ran the scans without disturbance. The results indicated 3110 units of copper stuffed into the cargo hold, but there were possibly other things hidden by the interference of the metal. Herr Chezberger already had a suspicion, so he asked the trader what her destination was. When Los Santos told us that she was heading to the Bremen, the Major informed her that the system is off-limits to civilians, because of it's current dangerous status. The junker kept being persistent, and she told us eventually that she was carrying the Copper to the Westphalia, to supply our troops. That's basically what gave her away. The Herr Major ordered me to charge my weapons as soon as it turned out that the Junker was aware of the location of a classified military position while I contacted the Westphalia asking if it had a disguised supply ship incoming, which could have been the Vivian del Los Santos. The communications officer informed me that Copper is basically the last thing they'd need to the front and they aren't aware of any classified transports heading their way, especially not one disguised as a Salvage Frigate. After recieving permission from the Major, I contacted a friend of mine who works with barter business. He told me that the Junker couldn't sell her cargo to anyone in Bremen, since no traders are insane enough to operate in a warzone. However, he also informed me that there is a huge demand for Copper on the Libertonian market, with Planet Denver housing the hugest demand currently known to Sirius markets. I informed Herr Chezberger on the issue, who immediately told the trader to drop her cargo and pay a million Rheinland credits for her crimes of stealing Daumann resources, attempting to break the embargo and lying to a Military Flag Officer. The Junker dropped the contents of the Frigate's cargo and left off without paying the compensation. Me and Herr Chezberger began pursuit, but she got to Alster and docked the station. Somehow, she gained access to one of the Alster terminals and started disrespecting us and the Military on the system broadcast channel, calling us pirates and thieves. It was most possible that the captain is actually a stolen ship, flown by an amateur spy with a sabotage mission in the Bremen system. We contacted the Shipyard's command deck and they sent down a squad of security officers to arrest the spy and her ship.

Afterwards, Herr Chezberger gave orders to return to our previous location and continue the supervision of the embargo. Oberfeldwebel Voss and the two reserve pilots also joined us along with a reserve gunboat, designated as ]~WD~[Kal-Skirata for the time being. Our first contact was the armored transport we met earlier, designated as Dan Vega. The captain of the ship tried passing the blockade once again, but this time, he had 800 units of diamonds on board. We ordered him to cut his engines, but the ship attempted to flee. We disrupted the trade lane, yet he was persistent at running. Me, Herr Chezberger and the reserve gunboat starting chasing the ship, which simply said "jerks" on the communication channel. A well-placed SNAC projectile of Herr Chezberger finished him off.

Nothing remarkable besides an independent Royal liner, designated as Queen Elizabeth II passing through with its escort and a few Junker Congress ships moving around the area happened afterwards. Herr Chezberger took the reserve pilots for a little training, I'm not exactly aware of the results as I was dealing with the Royal Liner during that time. A few minutes after Herr Chezberger returned, the Vivian del Los Santos arrived from the trade lane, I asked the Major if I should escort the ship to Vierlande or execute her on spot, Herr Chezberger ordered the latter. The ship was destroyed, the pilot's remains were not found. I went off-duty after the incident.

15th October

The standard patrol duty turned into hell quite quickly. I took off from Planet Hamburg with my bomber, where I landed previously and have been performing planetary security duties ever since. As soon as I took off, my sensors indicated energy signatures and unknown ships 6 clicks away from Planet Hamburg. I engaged my cruise engines and flew to the source. What I found was... shocking. A Unioner Arbeiter-class fighter, designated as Union was fighting Herr Oberfeldweber Gunter Weissman, while a Hessian gunboat designated as ave was standing idly with charged weapons. The energy signatures originated from the Unioner fighter's missile fire, the ship was using them rather commonly. Both the Unioner's and Herr Weissman's ships were heavily damaged, but Herr Weissman had to eject when his reactore core started buring up. The Oberfeldwebel's drifting ship was destroyed in the planet's atmosphere.

I was outraged by the act of terror these pirates committed. I was too late to help Herr Weissman, but I could take the two ships out. My finger was itching on the trigger of the SNAC aimed on the gunboat, but no matter how much I wanted to pull it, I gave him the chance to surrender himself and his crew and prepare to be escorted to Vierlande. The ship didn't really react anything besides saying something like "egaging RM" as I recall and opened fire with all its guns targetting my vessel. My SNAC was already charged and I emptied the antimatter tube into the ship's hull. I managed to bring the gunboat down without suffering too much damage. The Unioner Arbeiter was destroyed by an RFP recruit patrol wing and a Battleship patrol in the meantime.

Luckily enough, Herr Weissman was recovered without a scratch and he was quickly given a new ship while I switched to my Wraith. Since we recieved reports of several unidentified contacts moving through the Dresden system, we proceeded to the system and began a search for anything suspicious. Our first contact was the weirdest and most surprising one. A cruiser-class vessel of some... alien design was positioned near the trade lane at Bautzen station. It wasn't similar to the so-called "Nomad" aliens I met during my previous patrol, but it didn't really resemble any human construction I was aware of. The ship's transmitter indicated a designation as Schulc and it had an Order Guard ID according to my scans, but I'm quite certain that the ship ripped the IFF off an Order cruiser it encountered or was simply jamming our scanners. Either way, I was certain to keep my finger on the trigger, although the ship's combat capabilities were unknown. Surprisingly enough, it understood Herr Weissman ordering him to leave Rheinland and did accordingly. I'm clueless regarding this situation.

We continued our patrol to Leipzig, where we encountered another two hostile contacts on scope. I wasn't sure at first what the source of the signals were, so we proceeded a bit deeper into the nebula, without leaving the juristiction of Leipzig station. My sensors picked up a Hessian and a Corsair ship, their rapid movements indicated that the ships were fighting each other. Despite that, the corsair's presence was never confirmed, it could have been another Hessian ship, only my sensors were faulty. Either way, our attention was diverted by a Liberty Police transport, designated as Head_Hunter. We ordered the ship to halt and our scans indicated that the ship was indeed belonging to the Libertonian security firm. We attempted to guide the ship out of Rheinland, but it docked to Leipzig. As soon as that, our sensors indicated an explosion, coming from deeper into the field. Since miners could have been threathened, we had to investigate the source. I yet again recieved a reading on a Hessian ship, designated as Maksim Volkov as we got in deeper. The contact attempted to flee, as we got out of the field and my sensors were online once again, they determined that the Hessian ship was very heavily damaged. It was too fast to be caught and we didn't pursue as it entered another nebula.

After that incident, we headed to the Hamburg system to continue our patrol, but we were interrupted by a distress signal coming from a Kruger security ship located in Dresden, claiming to have been under attack by a Hessian ship. I was ordered to investigate while Herr Weissman proceeded to Hamburg. As soon as I got there and the Hessian ship, piloted by Maksim Volkov noticed my presence, it started to flee. Since Herr Weber, the Kruger security officer was out of disruptors and I was too far to launch one, the terrorist got away. Herr Weber thanked me for my assistance and gave me permission to resupply and repair at Bautzen.

Subject: Patrol report #14

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

I was sitting in the cantine reading the recent news when Herr Oberfeldwebel Gunter Weissman called me to duty. I took my flight uniform and took off with my Bomber from Planet Hamburg. Herr Weissman briefed me in space while I was on my way to the rendezvous point at Dortmund Station. We were to hit two Hessian gunboats and a fighter pirating on traffic between the Dortmund-Bonn trade lane. By the time we got there, their numbers have increased by another Very Heavy Fighter and we caught them red handed while attempting to pirate some sort of Junker vessel (probably a Werewolf) commandeered by Rusty Bobez.

We tried to flank the enemy vessels and get as close as possible to their gunboats as possible. They probably noticed our attempt, because they started shooting cruise disruptors at us while we were in motion. They opened fire at us before we managed to outflank them, but regardless our first target was easy to take down. The gunboat designated as Johann von Krusenstern didn't have an armor upgrade, so a few of our well-placed SNAC shots managed to take its shields down and another one to breach the ship's hull. The other gunboat, designated as Bronevik was armored, but it wasn't too much harder than its comrade. The only hardship was the fact that both gunboats and the fighters focused fire on me and during that did I have to also place proper SNAC shots at the enemy vessels, which I did with success. Just as we were about to bring the Bronevik down, Herr Hauptgefreiter Heinrik Drum arrived and helped us finish the job, the Junker vessel which they attempted to pirate also opened fire. The two fighters would have offered more trouble against the two of us bombers, but thanks to Herr Drum's interference, Eric Hartmann and Yevgeny Volgin were dispatched with ease. Herr Oberfeldwebel Maximilian Voss arrived to help us aswell, but he didn't have to interfere as we had the situation handled. I landed on the Strausberg to have the necessary reparations handled.

My ship was repaired to as if it was new in a few hours, right on time for another assignment against another two Hessian gunboats, bearing the same designation that the two ships we took down earlier did. I recieved an emergency distress call from Obergefreiter Kreuzchen that he was under attack by two Hessian gunboats while he was piloting a single Wraith while being on patrol in the Hamburg system so I immediately took off. I contacted our main barracks for reinforcements, Major Chezberger, Oberfeldwebel Voss and Oberfeldwebel Drum took off to help Kreuzchen. They were at the battlefield faster than I was and they neutralised the two gunboats with relative ease.

That battle was done, but it wasn't the last one that day. We all reported our status to Herr Chezberger, who eventually determined that enough Kriegsmarinen were on duty to begin a full scale Texas assault. We gathered around Hamburg under the command of the Major, a reserve bomber, the RN Bergemir and two reserve capital ships, the cruiser RNC Oderschvank and the battleship RNC Bananhej joined our ranks. As soon as the battleship arrived, we proceeded forward to Bering.

The fighters and bombers quickly made it through to Texas, while the capital ships lagged behind. That made them able to detect a Libertonian cruiser, the LNS Denver heading torwards our direction. The Major ordered us to scramble around the gate and arm our weapons to set up an ambush for the arriving ship. Our anticipations proved to be correct, the ship entered the system shortly after the arrival of the Bananhej. The ship attempted to flee, noticing the fact that we outnumbered it, but it couldn't evade a whole battlefleet. As soon as its engines were disrupted, we ran scans on the vessel. It indeed seemed to be a commissioned Navy Cruiser with a Guard ID on board, but strangely enough, the IFF still displayed neutral. The cruiser was also nothing but an unarmed hull. Herr Chezberger ordered the commander of the ship to surrender the craft, but he refused to comply so we were to open fire. The ship attempted to warn the Libertonians of our presence, but I don't think the transmissions got through before its destruction.

We were then to proceed forward to planet Houston. We didn't encounter any resistance until we got to the planet, where we spotted a Liberty Assault Battlecruiser, the LNS Columbia and a two fighters, Alexander Casero and a reserve pilot, called Peter Storm. Our battleship, the Bananhej opened fire on the Battleship Mississippi after Herr Chezberger's orders. The Battleship took the Heavy mortar fire quite well, but I'm confident it suffered heavy damage after a while. Before we could hit the Libertonians, a very heavy ion storm hit the area, rendering most of our sensors and comm systems offline. The Libertonians abused the occasion to get reinforcements into the area. The LNS Osborne, an Assault carrier and two gunboats, the Zorg The Borg and the Paulsurfer entered the area. They were quickly followed by the regular Liberty Navy, led by Admiral David Hale. Hank Kapinos, Alexander Casero, Ryan MacTavish, Andy Doggett, Tom Preager and an LPI SWAT officer, Ryan Cooper were the names I could get, there were probably more of them. Luckily enough, two Unioner ships, Sandra Bachmeier and an Arbeiter designated as Ween decided to put aside their treachery and assist their homeland against the foreign, common enemy.

The battle began when the LNS Columbia, confident by the support of his comrades and the ion storm that caught us, started launching missiles at our fighters, targetting Herr Drum with them. As soon as a heavier ion wave hit us and my sensors were rendered offline, the Columbia charged the Oderschvank, opening fire with all batteries at the unsuspecting cruiser. I was really surprised to see that the Columbia dared attacking during an ion storm, so we were forced to defend our ships with blinded sensors and failing communications. The Columbia took heavy damage and started retreating torwards the Mississippi, but luckily for us, the ion storm started to easen up (even though it didn't disappear until the fight was over) and we started to pursue the battlecruiser. That inspired all the Libertonians to commence their attack to save their ship. They all began to attack the Bananhej first. The ship's overheated mortars were to target the Osborne carrier, but they didn't succeed in causing remarkable damage, while the enemy's concentrated bombardment breached the hull of the Bananhej. Despite that, we didn't break our attack of the Columbia. The enemy battlecruiser managed to evade for long enough to give time to the Libertonian bomber craft and the Osborne
to destroy the Oderschvank aswell, which concentrated its energy on weapons rather than keeping its shield up, so it suffered a hull breach shortly before the Columbia did.

Our next target was the Osborne. The Assault Carrier was bombarding our ships successfully from a distance and we were to reinforce our bombers targetting that specific ship, but it was somehow drifted away by a wave of the ion storm so fast that we were unable to follow. In the meantime, the RNC Nagold arrived, providing another huge and easy-to-hit target for the Libertonian forces, who lived with the chance and destroyed our last reserve cruiser. We were then ordered to focus our fire on the Paulsurfer gunboat, but I was personally rendered useless as about six Libertonian fighters started focusing their fire on my ship, so I had to focus on evasion. The Zorg The Borg, the Paulsurfer, Peter Storm and SWAT Officer Ryan Cooper were brought down while I was trying to loose my pursuers, but the LNS Okichoni and the LNS Buzzkill reinforced the enemy.

I fought to the end and was jettisoned to space when my hull breached. I almost froze to death, but a Junker transport picked me up. I paid the captain to ferry me to New Berlin instead of handing me over to the Libertonian authorities. The captain did so as he couldn't resist the money I offered, I'm now in the central hospital under medical treatment. I hope I'll be able to perform my duties soon. I don't know how the battle ended, but one of the Unioners and the LNS Buzzkill was destroyed while I was still drifting in space. I hope we were eventually victorious, as Major General Engels was on his way with don't know who else to reinforce us.

Subject: Defence of the Hamburg system

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

I'm quite confident most of you have heard the news if not participated in it, but I was entrusted by Herr Weissman to write a report of the occasion. This night was nothing I've ever seen. I have fought against the Libertonians over numerous occasions, some of them even in Hamburg, but it is definitely not the same when they have a whole battlefleet on our doorsteps.

I was off duty when the situation erupted, walking down the streets of Hamburg to find an open pu... I mean a shop. The streets were dark, there were barely any people to be seen out in the cold evening. Good thing I had my temperature-contolled Military coat still on, so didn't freeze to death. All of a sudden, I heard something I never heard before. The Hamburg Planetary Alarm went off. The Rathaus started broadcasting on all loudspeakers ordering the civilians to get to their homes and the Military personell to get to their positions. I was lucky that an APC came by carrying a squad of Sturmtruppen to the Base and the Feldwebel in charge offered to take me along since "pilots were more important in defence" as he phrased it.

Fortunately, I got to the launch pad just in time, but I still had no idea what was going on. There were soldiers and technicans running all around shouting in the comms and at each other, I was trying to reach a CO, but noone responded until Oberfeldwebel Weissman caught me on the comm channel. He quickly told me that a Libertonian battlegroup was spotted on the edge of the system and we were to intercept. I immediately ordered a deck officer to prepare my Snubnose for launch and I got out to the planet's orbit in a minute.

I'm afraid that I have to say the whole situation was anarchic at the beginning. Fighters, cruisers, battleships and even civilian vessels were flying in random directions all around Hamburg, some of them almost even collide with each other. The Libertonians have jammed our communications, we couldn't reach any officers or commanders, so we were left in space with a huge reserve division to control for Oberfeldwebel Weissman, who was in charge.

However, the surprise didn't last long. The Oberfelwebel ordered all ships to proceed to Westfalen in order to be prepared to counter the enemy threat while he tried to negotiate with the Libertonians. He asked them to leave, but the enemy vessels didn't show the slightest intention to do so. They were claiming to retaliate their lost comrades in the raid we pulled off earlier, but they should have learned a lesson from their losses and stayed away.

The negotiations didn't go well, the Libertonians kept pulling in more vessels instead of leaving our Vaterland, so Herr Weissman ordered us to take the trade lane to the Hudson gate, since the enemy ships started gathering a few clicks away from that particular position. My worried and uncomfortable mood quickly switched to rage as I spotted the three Battlecruisers and two Siege cruisers infesting our Vaterland. The capital ships were escorted by one-two gunboats and a remarkably low fighter escort, which consisted merely of two ships (probably two defenders, but I couldn't analise them during the engagement). Some of the Libertonian ships started to flee as soon as they spotted our incoming defence fleet, a gunboat designated as LNS Orlando was the only one I could register.

I have to admit, we were all a bit trigger happy and it almost ended up bad. Most of our ships (mainly the reserve pilots) were looking to grind them up and I was to destroy them before they get more reinforcements aswell. The captain of the RNC Oderschvank kept shouting "Attack! Attack!" on the comms channel, which almost ended up with the loss of the ship. Herr Weissman gave us the go code, but everyone was making a slow approach while the Oderschvank charged onto the enemy with cruise engines. Herr Weissman ordered the captain of the cruiser to cut the cruise engines, but it was too late. The ship was immediately fired upon by the enemy capital ships and was very heavily damaged. Thanks to the skill of the other pilots, the bomber squad quickly caught up and unleashed the real firestorm at the enemy vessels. The reserve pilots were a bit hard to be ordered to focus, so they mainly served as diversion while our bomber squad consistant of Herr Weissman, me and Herr Hauptgefreiter Drum kept the enemy vessels under continued Antimatter bombardment. The RNC Nagold and the battleship RNC Stormholm also caused heavy damage to the enemy vessels with their mortar fire, aiding the bomber squad in their work. Fortunately enough, the enemy vessels didn't seem to focus fire at all, they were shooting randomly at our ships, therefore failing to cause any sufficient damage after our bombers hit them.

The strike craft's first target was the LNS Columbia. For some reason, the RNC Oderschvank started shooting at the Battlecruiser designated as SLICE. Despite that, we managed to cause heavy damage to the Columbia's hull while using the disarray and surprise we caused, the RNC Stormholm got close and finished the job with Mortar fire. The bomber squad was ordered afterwards to focus on the SLICE, while the capital ships split fire on the other enemy capitals. Two siege cruisers, the Paulsurfer and the LNS Denver were destroyed successfully before we finished the SLICE up. The Vallu, another siege cruiser and the Furious Absolution, a LABC were the last ones to be taken down before the Libertonians started to retreat. I told the men not to pursue them so that they can tell back at home how they failed at their task, but Herr Drum and some reserve pilots pursued the Piipu and destroyed it before it got out of the system. The other ship, the Konah was shot down by our ships aswell.

The whole battle lasted for no more than a few minutes. The Military was completely victorious against the invaders. The LNS Orlando, a gunboat was the only one to get away, but it stayed in the system to taunt us afterward. We were to ignore him and returned to our stations to go off duty. There was a smaller celebration following the event, we drank on Herr Weissman for being a successful leader and the rest for being wunderbar pilots. Special thanks goes to the members of the reserve fleet, it would have been harder without them.

Submitter: Oberfeldwebel Alec V?lkel, Rheinland Military.
Subject: BAF-RM Joint operation

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Today, we joined sides with the Bretonia Armed Forces to purge the Omega border systems of Corsair presence. The Omega Pirates Guild and their supporters have put a tough fight up, but we managed to hold our ground, while both inflicting and suffering large amounts of damage in the prolonged firefight. The reinforcements kept pushing in from both sides, so the fight never seemed to be even close to the end.

I started my patrol with taking off from Planet Hamburg. Admiral Engels called into the barracks that Corsair marauders were looting Republican ships in the Omega-7 system, so we were told to the intercept at once. Me and Gefreiter R?sdorf responded first, the meeting point was first placed to Bonn, but we were to reposition to Omega-7 before we could meet each other.

We were too late to catch the Corsair ships red handed. We searched throughout Omega-7, but all signs indicated that the pirate vessels have relocated to Omega-3, to Bretonian territory. Of course, we couldn't allow them to escape unpunished for the destruction of Rheinland property and the potential to do even further damage, so we contacted the Bretonian Armed Forces for permission to pursue the enemy ships. Lieutenant Commander McDonald responded us and gave permission to pursue the enemy forces into Bretonian space, so we immediately jumped to Omega-3 to prosecute the pirates.

The search didn't last long. As soon as we made our jump, we spotted two Titan-class vessels belonging to the Omega Pirates Guild waiting for a catch right near the gate. Scourge Grimly and Marauder CURIOS were surprised to see the Military pursuing them into Bretonia and they didn't seem to listen to us instructing them to return to wherever they belong or face the punishment. In fact, they started calling in backup, the system-wide communication channels indicated that well enough. The responding vessel's identification seemed to match that of Scourge Karolis, another OPG member, who as it later turned out, wasn't the only one in the area.

Admiral Engels ordered us to open fire before the Corsair reinforcements were to hit the area. My guns were already charged, we started to rain fire on the enemy targets. Unfortunately, we couldn't catch them before the first wave of enemy reinforcements, Karolis and Scourge Mate Krushak entered the area to assist the other two OPG pirates. We were first to target the pirates not yet warmed up, we started to get on Krushak's tail, but we didn't manage to cause any remarkable damage despite bringing his shields down a bit. The enemy, however opened fire on Gefreiter R?sdorf, who unfortunately couldn't evade the concentrated enemy fire and had to eject his ship before being destroyed.

Two of us were left again, and the enemy vessels started to focus fire on me. I managed to evade until the reinforcements, reserve pilot Fridrich Heinz and the HMS Cornwall, an Armed Forces gunboat arrived to aid us. More reinforcements, Vize Admiral Chezberger and Vize Admiral Krupinski were on the way, but they arrived too late to save his Majesty's gunboat. Reserve pilot Heinz tractored the escape pods of the Bretonian crew, but I'm afraid some of them could have fallen victim to the explosion or tractored in by the Omega Pirates.

More reinforcements kept flowing in from both sides and the battle was getting really serious and large scale. Feldwebel Duncan Werden and a reserve pilot, Ritter Von Habsburg arrived with the RNC Stormholm, a reserve Battleship in their company after neutralizing a Hessian gunboat of some sort in Omega-7. At the same time, Marauder Vega and an independent Corsair gunboat, the Imperium arrived. The latter was quickly destroyed, as we already had a sufficient amount of bombers on the battlefield.

The third wave of Omega Pirate reinforcements was cut with the assistance of BAF forces, that arrived only so late, because they were occupied on the Leeds front by yet another Corsair assault crew. As it later turned out, our operation succeeded in disrupting a major attack planned against the House of Bretonia. The Sarissa, an OPG gunboat was relatively quickly brought down, Admiral Redmond from the BAF managed to score the final hits.

In the following few ten minutes, we lost Hans Kruger (a reserve gunboat with incredibely lacking combat skills and the total failure to follow orders) and reserve pilot Friedrich Heinz (we managed to acquire his escape pod) while heavily damaging CURIOS, one of the enemy titans, forcing him to retreat. We noticed that the enemy ships were concentrating fire on the RNC Stormholm, even though our Battleship didn't open fire because of the danger that he'd hit our Military pilots. A few minutes afterwards, we noticed why they were doing so. The enemy vessels were trying to cripple our battleship while their Legate, the Iron Maiden got into firing range. The Stormholm and the RM-BAF bomber squadron managed to bring the monstrosity down with relative ease, the Stormholm hardly even suffered damage, since the enemy Dred was targetting the bombers. Unfortunately, Feldwebel Werden was caught in the blast, but we managed to recover his escape pod.

Another enemy gunboat, an Imperator belonging to Rin Tosaka, an OPG Marauder arrived on the scene and was brought down just as quickly. I even managed to salvage about ten nanobots from the ship's wreckage, which didn't last long since another handful of enemy fighters got onto my tail again. The crippled OPG ships called in a repair ship, the Ivan into the field to resupply the pirates, it was some sort of upgraded one, as the ship's engines were too fast even to be caught by a fighter class vessel.

While our forces were attempting to take the Ivan out, I somehow got drifted away from the battle and found myself in a one-on-one dogfight with Marauder Diego del Torro. I believe I had the upper hand as I managed to bring the enemy vessel's shields down and damage his hull, which led him to give himself a shot of shield batteries to restore his defence mechanisms. Either because the ship noticed I outmached him or because he was called by his superiors, the Titan went back to the main battle with me on his tail.

The battle didn't last long afterwards. Vessels fled, disengaged or were malfunctioning, eventually no more than 5-6 ships were left on the battlefield, shooting at each other. Admiral Engels had a major engine malfunction, so he had to return to base while he could, so Vize Admiral Chezberger ordered us to pull out, since we managed to cause enough damage to the Omega Pirates as it is and one thing certain drove them out of Omega-3. The Bretonian authorities were thankful for our help and in turn. I flew back to Karlsruhe with Herr Chezberger and fell to a barracks room in my exhaustion. It was the 30th already when I arrived, it was a great battle indeed.

Subject: Patrol Report #17

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

The day's patrols began like any other, I took off from Planet Hamburg and since the trader traffic was remarkably low, I decided to patrol Rheinland space. I patrolled New Berlin, but didn't spot anything remarkable until I reached the Frankfurt gate with the intention to continue the patrol in Frankfurt.

As soon as I reached the gate, my sensors detected a smaller energy anomaly from within the system, although the signal was faint, I was quite sure it was indicating a ship blowing up. A few seconds afterwards, another followed, so I decided to check it out. I turned around to patrol the system again with all jump gates included, a reserve pilot, Fridrich Heinz joined me on my route.

Our target, a Hessian bomber piloted by Frank Mueller was spotted near the Dresden gate. Debris were drifting around the area, my quick scans indicated that at least one of the vessels destroyed was a Rheinwehr Wraith class. The pilot admitted destroying a Military ship and he was intending to do the same to me, with weapons powered up, he started shooting at me, while reserve pilot Heinz continued his patrol to Dresden.

The Hessian was obviously some kind of officer or ace. He was already damaged by the ships he destroyed earlier and I quickly drained his remaining nanobots and shield batteries, but then the situation was getting dire. He managed to both shoot and evade well, his combat performence was remarkable. Fortunately enough, none of his SNAC projectiles hit me, that was because of my evasion skills rather than his disablity to aim.

The fight lasted for about 30-40 minutes and we both grew tired, not to mention a slight ion storm that erupted in the meantime. I managed to burn his ship up, while he shot one of my Hornvipers off, making him even a tougher one to damage. Right before my final shot, the terrorist rammed the RNC Leverkusen, a reserve gunboat standing idly to watch the fight and the Thor was perished in the crash. In the meantime, reserve pilot Heinz destroyed some Outcast, I didn't pay attention to the details.

Unfortunately enough, I couldn't return to the barracks to have some rest. Just as I landed, Heinz called me again informing me that he spotted seven rebel ships at the Bonn-Stuttgart trade lane. They were probably trying to avenge their lost ace. I took my bomber, in hopes of catching some bigger-class Hessian ships, but the contrary was in effect when we got there. Hessian and Unioner bombers and fighters were pirating the lane traffic, they were negotiating with some mercenaries just as I got there. Reserve Pilot Fridrich Heinz and the RNC Leverkusen could summon a Bounty Hunter gunboat, the Luis von Graal to our aid, but we were still outnumbered by the hostiles.

The traitors blew the mercenaries apart and came into range as soon as that. I attempted to commence negotiations with them, but the Luis von Graal opened fire at the hostiles without my autherisations. I was forced to order everyone else to open fire too to save the heavy support. Against five bombers in the enemy ranks, I was sure to see the gunboats go down first, but after loosing the RNC Leverkusen, we stood our ground. The two enemy fighters, an Arbeiter and an Odin caught my tail, they hardened my ability to aim properly.

The first enemy to go down was Abweichung, a Thor-class bomber that was hit by the Hunter gunboat. Quickly enough, Vladimir Lenin followed, since his shields were down, I used the occasion to introduce him the taste of a good old Braunschweig-style SNAC. I ordered the men to concentrate their fire on Jahr Gulden, he was quickly crippled and as he realised that, he attempted to flee by jettisoning mines to evade pursuit, I launched a cruise disruptor to make him regret his decision, so his ship was blown to pieced by his own mine. The next target I issued was Markus Vogel, we managed to heavily damage him, but the fighters that were on me switched targets to reserve pilot Heinz and since I was trying to SNAC Hoenir, Vogel used the opportunity to escape. Only one bomber and two fighters were left, I ordered to focus on Hoenir, the last Thor, one which was heavily damaged and destroyed by me and the Hunter gunboat. In the meantime, the two fighters took reserve pilot Heinz down (although one of them fled in the meantime), so only Leo Troczky was left. The miner quickly realised that he couldn't anymore count on his comrades and after a few shots fired, he decided to retreat into the asteroid field, so he did with success.

The Rheinwehr was yet again utterly victorious against superior numbers with minimal losses. After the assignment, I returned to Strausberg to repair the minimal damage I took and file this report. My bomber should be ready for service already.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

I have to admit, I was starting to get worried if I was ever going to see space again, but the massive ion storm suddenly passed away. It was astonishing to see the Rheinland traffic and trade being re-established so quickly, although that brought the smugglers and embargo runners along aswell.

I began my duties with embargo supervision, Feldwebel Kreuzchen soon joined me near Planet Hamburg. The first issue to deal with was a Freelancer merchant, a Percheron class transport designated as Dagon.Transport. He hailed us on system comms as he entered Hamburg, so we coordinated him to Planet Hamburg for a routine inspection. The ship complied and I ordered Herr Kreuzchen to run a scan on the Transport's hold. Luckily enough, I ran a routine scan on the ship aswell, since Herr Kreuzchen failed to notice the hundreds of Gaian livestock species stuffed into the Percheron's hold. I informed the ship's captain regardling the Kanzler's laws, and made him relinquish the content of his cargo bay for confiscation. He followed my orders without trouble and due to the lack of any specialists to be found on spot, we had to destroy the Gaian species which the Dagon formerly had in its hold. It turned out that the merchant was contracted by a Cambridge researcher, but since he failed to equip the transport with the proper researcher license, he was not authorised to carry his hold into Rheinland.

<*Error*: Guncam shots not found.>

Shortly afterwads, we picked up a Freelancer fighter on our sensors, one that seemed to have been assembled purely out of scrap. The pilot, David Saferight, stopped as soon as we ordered him to do so, although he seemed to be in a hurry. During the scan of his cargo hold, me and Kreuzchen discovered three pieces of unknown organic things, most probably still alive in the pilot's cargo hold. I am more than certain they were nomads or something related. We had to act quick and since no MND agents were available, we ordered the Freelancer to jettison the alien things into space. Luckily, the things were secured in some pod, so they didn't attack us. I ordered Kreuzchen to eliminate the strange things with a salvo of Tachyon. During the trial on the spot, we determined that the Freelancer didn't know what the things he had on board were and what dangers they posed, but we didn't fill him in on our anticipations, mostly because we were yet unaware of what those things exactly were. We authorised him to leave Rheinland and told him to watch out for what he tractors in while flying in unmapped space. After that incident, Feldwebel Kreuzchen left, and Fridrich Heinz, a reserve pilot came to replace him.

Recorded scan of Saferight's cargo hold.

Our next client was not so co-operative. An IMG Atlas class transport under a Freelancer registration code showed up at Hamburg, designated as beasboy.GL. The ship's captain didn't stop for inspection as ordered, we caught him just a moment before him taking the lane to Westfalen. I ran a scan on his cargo hold, which indicated him being in possession of a full hold of Plutonium. I asked the captain where the shipment was going, he admitted that he was shipping to Pennsylvania, that being Liberty territory. I informed him on our hostile status with the House, but he initiated the trade lane sequence to Westfalen just as I was accessing the comms. Luckily enough, I ordered Herr Heinz to move a lane further before that happened, so the reserve pilot was quick enough to prevent the embargo runner from escaping. The beasboy.GL further attempted to elude us by engaging its cruise engines and firing countermeasures as a response to our disruptors, but didn't manage to escape. Eventually, the captain of the transport stopped trying to evade us and started saying something like "read the rules" and we "dont have the rite", however we didn't succeed in figuring out what he wanted to achieve with these senseless statements. We gave him several warning to drop his cargo, then I ordered Herr Heinz to fire a warning salvo at the ship's shields. The beasboy.GL responded with trying to engage some cloaking device, which is something we couldn't allow to happen. We started firing at the ship with all guns, ripping the transport's hull apart. I tried to contact the ALG Waste Disposal to bring the radioactive material back to Dortmund, but failing to do so, we blew the shipment of Plutonium up with a mine after evaquating the area.

Scan of the Bestboy's cargo hold.
Communications log.

Nothing worthy of being detailed happened afterwards besides a smaller encounter with a Freelance miner and a remarkably weird Junker vessel. We did a smaller patrol around Berlin and Dresden with Herr Heinz and I landed on the Strausberg afterwards.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

It's been a while since we last had an encounter with the Red Hessian Army, the miners whose fighting skills never fail to impress me. Despite that, they are nowhere near the glorious Rheinwehr, we managed to be victorious over superior numbers.

Our ships were scrambled to respond to a call issued by the Altenburg in Dresden. The commander of the battleship notified us of several Hessian ships flying around the sector, probably massing for a larger attack on the ship or one of the nearby mining operations. The operation was led by Major Westerman, me, Hauptfeldwebel Weissman and Hauptgefreiter Drum were his wingmen. Upon our arrival to Dresden, we were ordered to commence a search for the enemy vessels, fortunately it was no difficulty locating them, taking into account that they were hiding in the vulcanic asteroid field near the Altenburg.

Hauptgefreiter Drum approached the enemy first, the Saale, Major Westerman's gunboat and the rest of us followed. Our initial contacts were a Cruiser, the Aurora accompanied by the Derzky gunboat and two smaller craft, the Hoenir and the Molotov. They were told to lower their arms and surrender, however the subject soon drifted to a debate about the false communist ideology these miners followed. In the meantime, more and more Hessian ships kept pulling in, even members of the Red Hessian Army started to show up. Soon we found ourselves outnumbered, the Sharp_Eye, some rookie Hessian and four Red Hessian Army soldiers, Hans Becker, Adolf Hessler, Erich Heimdall and the Komet arrived to the scene. Major Westerman ordered us to back up torwards to Altenburg, while we called for reinforcements.

The Hessians didn't really take notice of the reason for our "tactical retreat". With the independent members as cannon fooder in the first line, they approached us and started shooting at our vessels, with the Saale in their priority. The Altenburg quickly finished off the Molotov, even before the rest of the Hessians charged their weapons. The Sharp_Eye was our next victim, either because of mere luck or because the pilot was inexperienced, our forces have made short work of him. The good beginning however was followed by a really misfortunate event, the Saale was destroyed by the Hessian forces.

After a short confusion, we managed to set the leadership back up, which was then divided between me and Hauptfeldwebel Weissman. We were heavily outnumbered, but thankfully our calls for backup weren't left unanswered. Flieger Sophi Keiste, the cruiser RNC-Dresden and the RNC-Sturmvolk battleship arrived to aid us, at least temporarily evening the odds a little. With the help of the Dresden, the Aurora was dispatched and the Derzky gunboat damaged. We soon lost the Dresden and the Heimdall-class ship started to flee with Hauptgefreiter Drum and me in pursuit, the two of us successfully took the gunship down eventually.

Unfortunately, the Derzky lured us too far out. We were late to return and help Flieger Keiste, who got her ship destroyed but ejected in time. I don't know how, but there were only four enemy ships left when we arrived to the scene. The RNC Sturmvolk had to stand down due to the danger of hitting us with the all those big guns, so me and Drum were were alone against the Hessians for a few minutes. I don't know where Weissman was, he probably got lured away just like we did, but he returned just in time. We blew up the Hoenir, with that evening the odds to three of our ships against three bearing RHA designations. After a brief firefight and the destrucion of Eric Heimdall's vessel, an LWB ship piloted by a strange acting man, Udo Ackermann arrived on scene and somehow blew up Weissman's slightly damaged ship. He seemed to be... rather emotional and regretting about that act, although that is no excuse for an act of terror.

Well, only two Hessians and the LWB ship remained against me and Herr Drum, Hans Becker weilding a bomber was the next one to go down. The firefight continued, but our last target, Adolf Hessler left off after running out of nanobots. We were exhausted to pursue. I wanted to confront Ackermann, the LWB pilot to understand his motives, but Herr Drum's razor was faster. The area was once again clear of hostiles.

It was an exhausting fight, we had to face immeasurable odds with only a small force available. The Kanzler's forces were again victorious against all those miners, even though the Hessian Army soldiers really put up a fight. I landed on the Altenburg to file this report, along with Herr Drum. Unfortunately, only us survived with our ships intact.

Subject: Patrol Report #20

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

I'm writing this report to inform you about a minor shootout that occoured near Bautzen, just in case Kruger would ask for an explenation about a military action taking place so close to a civilian populated area.

I took off from the Altenburg where I was previously stationed at, after taking care of a few rookie Hessian patrols, I was hailed on the system-wide comms frequency by an unknown signal ordering me to "show myself." The pilot's voice was familiar enough, so I quickly realised it was the Hessian dubbed as 'Vladimir Lenin'. His provocation at first only made me laugh, but realising he was probably in a warship of some sort, I commenced a search for his vessel to prevent civilians from being placed in a threathened position.

I quickly found him with a Freund of him called Bolverk, right near Bautzen. The usual protocols of placing them under arrest soon turned into a heated debate about the foolish communist idea these Hessians followed, luckily I learned enough about it during basic training that they even believed I attended university.... Anyway, back on topic, during the conversation, a Mjolnir-class reserve fighter, designated as Zlodei arrived, his presence didn't speed things up though. A short comms failure from Lenin's ship eventually made me get back to trying to arrest him, refusing to do so, I succeeded in getting them a few clicks away from Bautzen before the shooting started.

The Hessians were both easy targets. They were mainly going for the Zlodei, the reserve fighter that didn't say a mere word during the whole assignment. Hitting the enemies was relatively easy, Lenin's repeated jettisoning of armed Nuclear mines and their disruption by my cruise missiles damaged the terrorist's ship to a large extent. During the engagement, Hauptgefreiter Drum arrived. I ordered the damaged Mjolnir to leave the area, since Drum was going to jump in for him, but the recruit didn't follow orders. Herr Drum eventually had to engage too to save the stubborn reserve pilot from destruction, he took out Lenin's already heavily damaged ship with a well placed razor shot.

As soon as the first hostile was down, the Hauptgefreiter disengaged following my order. The last enemy didn't cease to shoot at the reserve pilot, bringing the ship close to destruction. The communist rebel made a mistake by trying to attack the Mjolnir frontally, he also got distracted by several rookie Military and Kruger pilots interfering the fight. Bolverk's ship was only one shot away from destruction when my ship's sensors, comms and nav died, I drifted blind for a good five minutes in space. All of a sudden, everything went back to normal, but I didn't had a visual on any of the ships formerly present. Herr Drum later told me that the last enemy ship was destroyed by him too, with another razor burst for the sake of variety.

After docking to the Strausberg in Berlin and reloading my ship, I was honored to meet the returning Admiral Malte, taking off from Planet New Berlin. She briefly filled me in on some dangers that so far kept her away, one being those cursed Mandalorian Mercenaries, then me and Drum escorted her to Braunschweig where she ordered various upgrades to be performed on her vessels. Following a short training, I docked with the Moselle and have been there ever since.

Subject: Patrol Report #21

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

This Friday's patrol began with the regulars. After performing a few pre-launch checks and undocking from the Moselle, I met Admiral Malte and Feldwebel Kreuzchen near the Strausberg to perform basic patrol duties.

We did a short patrol around New Berlin, then flew through Halle in order to make our way to Munich. Nothing interesting happened during our patrol, until we reached Frankfurt, where we ran across an SCRA terrorist disrupting the trade lane. He identified himself as Viktor Heinz and admitted his attempts to work against the Rheinland government.

Quickly, several rookie Hessian and Unioner fighter wings arrived on the spot to assist their 'comrade'. The Admiral ordered me and Kreuzchen to intercept the incoming hostiles while she tried to place the terrorist under arrest. I counted altogether six wings of rookies incoming, we had to keep them under constant fire in order to provide a safe ground for arrest, eventually the arrival of two Police rookie wings managed to take the pressure off us. I am not aware how the negotiations went, but I do know that the Admiral made the communist choose between firing squad or execution on spot. After a bit of hesitation, he chose the latter, me and Kreuzchen were told to take his ship out.

The fight was a tough one. The iron beast flown by Heinz managed to both repel damage and evade well. The enemy vessel crippled Kreuzchen's ship, while I was working on keeping his shields down. The Feldwebel somehow managed to use that opportunity and delivered a perfectly aimed SNAC projectile right into the enemy's hull, blowing the communist up to thousands of molten pieces. It was an impressive turn indeed.

Following that encounter, we returned to New Berlin to conduct repairs. I arranged a bay for me and Kreuzchen on Oder Shipyard, the engineers complied without questions. Kreuzchen's ship required longer term repairs, but I could resume my patrol in a few minutes. I didn't have to go far, as soon as I undocked, I spotted four Hessians flying different ships approaching New Berlin.

It was the usual holdup, a smaller attack group led by Vladimir Lenin, with Leo Trotzky, Bolverk and Eric Koehler on his wing. The rag-tag miliants started taunting me as usual, I didn't pay particular attention to their words, but the propaganda machine's presence directly above Berlin was indeed a threat to deal with, considering the civilian populace. Soon enough, Flieger Gustav Heinz and Hauptfeldwebel Gunter Weissman arrived to assist me, we were ready to deal with the threat. The usual arrest attempts took place, but instead of laying down their arms, the Hessians started shooting at the Police rookies flying around the area.

I ordered the Kriegsmarine to open fire at the hostiles. Eric Koehler was our first target, who seemed to be a loosely affiliated Hessian of some sort, flying a Werewolf-class fighter. His large-size ship was easy to hit, not to ignore the fact that he repeatedly tried to hit us with mines, which turned against him as soon as I responded with firing my cruise disruptors into his rear. He didn't last any longer than the others did. Lenin was the next, his crippled ship was destroyed by a mine jettisoned by Weissman. Bolverk left the area, leaving Trotzky, his buddy to be torn apart by the three of us.

We returned to New Berlin after the incident, the reserve ships took charge of cleaning up the area and a Bounty Hunter went after Bolverk to track him down. After a short troop inspection near New Berlin, we returned to our hangars on the planet.

Subject: Patrol Report #22

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

A rather long day this was, unfortunately it didn't end well. We had to deal with numerous issues, some even rose to the ground of diplomacy. From lost GMG transports to a Red Hessian battlefleet, the glorious Rheinwehr marched, fought and when all odds were against us, perished with honor.

GMG incursion in Rheinland space

The day began with a routine patrol of the core systems. Reserve pilot Fridrich Heinz joined me soon, the timing was accurate. Frankfurt perimeter patrols have reported the presence of a GMG vessel of unknown class, moving torwards New Berlin. Heinz was close, so I dispatched him to identify and possibly apprehend the ship and her crew. Soon, Major Westerman arrived to take charge of this sensitive matter. The GMG vessel slipped past us and was identified moving through Berlin. The Major and I moved to Berlin while I ordered Heinz to cover the Frankfurt-Berlin Jump Gate. Eventually, the Gas Miner was the one who hailed us first on system comms, his communication code and way of speaking was obvious enough. I quickly informed him of my identification and ordered him to submit his location, however he responded with saying he was "running back to Sigma 13". I responded with telling him he was in violation of the 80 years war peace treaty, but he didn't respond. His ship was later identified by the Altenburg's sensor sweep in Dresden, a dead-end system, which contradicted his previous statement. Major Westerman immediately instructed us to chase him, but we lost his signals upon our entry. Even the Altenburg couldn't get a reading. He was probably taking shelter in one of the nebulas. After spending zirka 10 minutes to track his vessel down, we were ordered to abandon the search and resume our patrols.

Some minutes following that event when we were already in New Berlin, he hailed us on system broadcast channels again, informing us of his position near the Dresden jump gate. The GMG captain made an apology for his deeds and said that his superiors ordered him to cooperate. Me and Major Westerman approached his vessel and after getting a clear reading and identifying the ship as the GMG|GTS-Mang.Kinjo, we informed him of the details of this situation. I started with telling him that his presence was in violation of the peace treaty that followed the 80 years war and demanded an explenation for his presence. The GMG captain replied that he tought an agreement to resolve this situation has already been made and he followed an "outdated" trade route. He didn't answer my question regarding how he didn't realise that using a 200 years old trade route was not the wisest decision to consider, and I also advised him to gather some information on his clearance and freight licensing before flying a 5000 tons transport into a territory where it shouldn't be present. Afterwards, Major Westerman on board the Saale ordered him to drop the large amount of diamonds he had on board and summoned a Kruger transport to pick them up. The Mang Kinjo followed our orders without a second tought, eventually I told him that he would be escorted out from Rheinland, back to GMG space. Me and Fridrich Heinz assumed formation and we escorted him to the Sigma-13 jump hole, via the Brandenburg-Bonn-Dortmund lane configurations. The issue was resolved with his departure. Suddenly, more Rheinwehr ships arrived, me and Heinz told them that the situation was under control, but they attacked us! Realising soon that they were Wilde ships, we engaged and destroyed the ships and the two attack wings that followed.

I also recieved an official apology from a GMG representative while we were still under attack by the Wilde ships. I told him that I was not in a position to be involved in the political issues of Rheinland, but thanked him for making his employee cooperate with us. I am more than confient that Admiral Malte settled the issue with the GMG, since she also instructed us not to pester GMG employees until the Baden Baden conferency is over.

Libertonian spy in Hamburg

A rough 30 minutes following the previous issue with the GMG, Major Westerman returned to base, while me and Fridrich Heinz were supervising embargo duties in the Hamburg system. We picked up a faint, illiterable comm signal coming from an unknown location somewhere in Hamburg. We told the submitter to identify himself, which he did without hesitation. The signal originated from a person called Gary Numan, claiming to be an officer of the Liberty Navy. I ordered Heinz, Feldwebel Kreuzchen and the Hannover corvette of the K-211 reserve fleet to prepare for a battle, but eventually we determined that it was just a sole ship, not an assault fleet.

The Libertonian officer started taunting us, first dishonoring the Kanzler and the Bundestag, then getting to racial and personal insults. I ordered a search party to find him and take him down, but he was nowhere to be found. He eventually started claiming that he was scouting the system, reporting unexisting flaws of different locations, but since I had a sentry placed at every location he reported and neither of them reported anything moving, he was obvioulsy lying in order to provoke us. Even though I notably didn't commence a search of the hazardous asteroid fields, captain Lange of the Hannover roamed his gunboat into the asteroid field covering the Bering jump hole. I don't know how to take that action, since he found the Libertonian, but he risked a valuable gunboat and the crew by taking her in. However, the Libertonian succeeded in evading the gunboat and even though he claimed he was on his way to Planet Hamburg, he never showed up again.

Realising that apprehanding this foolish Libertonian was neither possible or necessary, I landed on Planet Hamburg and gave command to Feldwebel Kreuzchen.

Hessian routine sweep of Dresden

The next situation was adequate as an afternoon practice, but otherwise nothing notable. Bautzen reported us the presence of the usual Hessian raid party, led by Vladimir Lenin and his cronies.

I was on patrol around New Berlin when I was called to respond. Some Volksfront pilot, Daniel Boehmer was roaming around the system, but I couldn't track him down. A reserve RFP pilot was after him already, but I later learned that Boehmer took him out with ease. Regardless, I was ordered by Major Westerman to proceed to the assembly point at Bautzen, since we had some Hessians to take out.

Hauptfeldwebel Leonora Schneider, Hauptfeldwebel Gunter Weissman and eventually Vizeadmiral Walter Krupinski arrived to the assembly point. More ships were on the way, including Admiral Malexa Malte, but we had the situation already handled. In a mere few minutes, five Hessian contacts showed up, I could get a reading on Vladimir Lenin, Eric Koehler, Leo Trotzky, Bolverk and Sharp Eye. The fight quickly erupted, our first target, the Sharp Eye was destroyed under a mere few seconds. Other enemies only caused us hardship by flooding the battlefield with mines and missiles, which even caused the destruction of Major Westerman's bomber-class craft. The rest was easy though, Trotzky and Koehler quickly went down. Bloverk again slipped out of the battle without anyone noticing, leaving his comrades behind for destruction.

The day was saved, we thought at that point. We resumed our patrols, I was ordered to patrol Frankfurt and Munich with Weissman on my wing, while the Admiral took Herr Krupinski and Kaptain Hatten of the RNC Dresden to guard the Omegas. Our patrol pattern was all clear, but the Admiral spotted a Liberty warship lurking around in the Omegas (!), which fled the area as soon as the Admiral had visual contact.

Invasion of the Red Hessian Army

As soon as our patrols were over and our pilots were leaving back to barracks, reports have come in of a Red Hessian ship being spotted around Dortmund. I am not aware of the exact details, Kapitaen Hatten scrambled an intercept wing to take the pilot, Adoph Hessler out. As far as I recall, he fled into a nearby asteroid field and only reserve pilot Heinz chased him further, where the Hessian turned back and destroyed the pilot's fighter craft.

Things went awkwardly silent afterwards until a large Hessian military force, including their flagship, the Von Rohe was spotted approaching torwards Dortmund via the Bonn trade lane. We were ordered to take battle positions and brace for the attack, Admiral Malte personally came to the field to coordinate our forces. The Von Rohe came under fire by the station and the Military patrols present and started evading torwards New Berlin. Quickly afterwards, more Hessians followed their flagship, including Gunter Hoerst, Ernst Neurath, the Messerschmidt and even another cruiser, the Frau Blucker. Our forces were obviously outnumbered, only minimal reinforcements came with almost no heavy support to deal with the enemy cruisers. The Admiral ordered the civilian vessels to evaquate and the Hessians to lay down their weapons, the former was successful, the latter was not.

I was hoping that we might reach some sort of compremise, but the fight erupted quickly, unfortunately close enough to Rheinland's key civilian installations. The Hessians have destroyed a Military cruiser and its gunboat escort, which sealed the deal. We were ordered to open fire and try to bring down the Hessian cruisers. The Frau Blucker was the first target, the RNC Dresden and our bomber wings managed to destroy the Hessian cruiser, while the fighters (including myself) were ordered to cover our cruiser from the bombers the enemy threw at us. Unfortunately, the Dresden couldn't withstand two cruisers and several bombers hitting her either, it suffered a reactor meltdown and was brought out of action.

Minimal reinforcements arrived, Gefreiter Boettcher and Kapitaen Lang joined the battle, but the arriving enemy support crushed our attempt to balance the battle. Alfred Wagner and a Unioner, Matthias Zevonen arrived for the enemy as backup, we quickly found the need for the two reserve gunboat standing by for orders. Unfortunately, they didn't last long, I wouldn't bet that they even scratched the hull of the heavily armored Hessian flagship before all being wiped out.

The situation was getting dire. Our ships were picked off like flies and I quickly found myself alone in the field, fighting numerous Hessian ships among the drifting wrecks and escape pods of Rheinwehr ships as well as the wreckage of the Frau Blucker. I was aiming to bring their bomber down, one that was designated as Messerschmidt, which was a remarkably difficult fact both because a lot of ships were shooting at me and because the Hessian's nanobot supply got constant shots from his 'comrades'. I succeeded to bring the Messerschmidt close to destruction three times, but I soon realised that due to the circumstances (that being the fact that I had to drain the nanobot supply of the whole battlefleet alone if I wanted to finish the Messerschmidt off), my task was impossible. I shouted a "Wir kapitulieren nie" into the comms and hit the eject button, my ship was destroyed and I passed out.

It's sure been a while since I last visited the New Berlin hospital, but I woke up there today. I'm still not aware if the sacrifice our men made was enough to guarantee the safety of Dortmund and Essen, I still have to see if the stations are intact. I will give my papers in to request a new ship, my wounds were treated, so I can continue my duty as soon as possible.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Indeed one of the days that I classify as "I'm lucky to be alive", but all that matters is that we managed to secure the safety of Rheinland and kept civilian casualties at a minimum to nothing.

I was called on duty to respond to some Liberty Revolutionary Front ships showing up in Frankfurt, however as soon as I launched my ship to space, I have been notified of the threat already being neutralised. Since multiple SCRA ships have also been sighted moving around Stuttgart, we were told to investigate and intercept before they got to reinforce their fallen comrades. Fortunately, upon our arrival to Stuttgart we noticed that the Coalition ships were engaged in a firefight by Mandalorian Mercenaries, we didn't succeed in locating them though. A reserve pilot, Etzel Kuhn went a bit too overzealous and risked himself by going into a nebula to track the hostiles down and as soon as I told him it was a risky and unnecessary action to take, the pilot chose to disrespect my orders and start an argument about my situation. He somehow failed to realised that the Military is not existent to kill people, but to protect Rheinland citizens and if necessary do we have to resort to taking arms.

Our argument was quickly dissolved as the Wild Dragons reserve fleet reported multiple unidentified ships, later classified as Phantoms, approaching into the heart of Berlin. Since the reserve division failed to deal with the threat, we were called in to respond, Herr Stein from the Marinenachrichtendienst took charge of the anomalous situation. We eventually confronted the hostiles between the Bonn-Dortmund lane, we both dropped out of the trade lane at the same time. Their ship designations were most odd, the first one to identify was Shillelagh, quickly more of them arrived on spot. Overload, Shock, Mindrender, Ze'ev's Revenge, Rawshank and Valentine were the enemies I listed, standing against me, Feldwebel Kreuzchen, Hauptfeldwebel Weissman, MND Agent Stein, Wild Dragon Dominik Mertins and reserve pilot Etzel Kuhn. Not only did the enemy outman us, but their technological superiority was rather obvious aswell. Their ships were covered in an unusual, black paintjob with a sole insignia serving as their only decoration and strange, purple light was erupting from where their reactor seemed to be located. Their weapons were all producing an energy reading way above the standards, as it was proven later, it was painful to be hit by them. The ships all seemed to be piloted by madmen. Sadists, lunatics and psychopats equipped with superior technology, I admit, even as a Rheinwehr officer, they made me shiver for a moment.

They didn't really ask for an arrest warrant, they straight-out opened fire on our vessels. Our priority target was the Ze'ev's rage, a Farmers Alliance bomber. The vessel's pilot managed to fly his craft remarkably well, even though it was a bomber, it was really hard to hit. The odds were against our favour, the enemy seemed to be capable of good teamwork, while we were shooting at the bomber, they flanked us and got on our tail to cover their ship. Feldwebel Kreuzchen was the first one to go down from our ranks, I'm not aware of the details of his destruction, but I think he was hit by a torpedo. Following the destruction of Dominik Mertins and the realisation that we were most probably doomed, MND Agent Stein ordered a retreat torwards the Strausberg. We did not make it. First they shot down Hauptfeldwebel Weissman, then Agent Stein followed. A Bounty Hunter gunboat, designated as "Judge Jury Executioner" was also dropped out of the lane, but he was shot to pieces under a matter of seconds, he didn't even stand a chance.

Loosing Weissman and Stein made me face serious doubts regarding my survival. The cheeky reserve pilot, Kuhn was still holding the front with me, he even managed to deliver numerous razor shots to the enemy bomber's hull, making him flee the scenario. The enemy forces were so certain of their victory that they resupplied their bomber over and over again, but I think that was the point when the tide turned. After spending about 10 minutes in space against 6 Phantoms against me and Kuhn, backup arrived finally! Reserve pilots Sven Hassel and Fredrich Weiler dropped into the fight, balancing the odds a little. Herr Hassel even managed to blow the Phantom called Valentine up with a marvelous SNAC shot. Unfortunately, Herr Hassel was vulnerable in a bomber, the courageous pilot perished for Rheinland in honor. Targets afterwards switched between Shock, Shillelagh, Rawshank and Overload. The fight that followed was pretty balanced, we managed to get to a point where were weren't outmached anymore. We eventually stopped at targeting Shillelagh, by the time Vizeadmiral Krupinski and Admiral Malte arrived, he was almost destroyed. The Phantoms didn't try their chances with the Admirality's backup, the cowards ran for it.

We were told to pursue the targets, but they were too fast and fled. I returned to Planet New Berlin to inform Admiral Malte of our bitter victory. The fight lasted for about an hour and a quarter, we lost many good men today, but drove the terrorists off. We protected Rheinland and the Rheinlander citizens, if these vile beasts are really as merciless as the rumour has it, the loss of good men saved many more.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

I'd like to apologise again for not being able to participate in the campaign fought to defend our Vaterland from the Liberty Navy incursion, although it is yet to be confirmed, I heard it was pretty bad out there. The reason for my absence is due to a major engine malfunction the Ft. Wenatchee's guns have inflicted on my ship in Bering. Although I couldn't perform space duties, I have reported to a marine crew for surface defence tasks.

I joined the operation with being called to defend Bering's Hamburg-side border by Admiral Engels. The Admiral and Vizeadmiral Chezberger were under heavy fire out in the frontlines, the Ft. Wenatchee dreadnought, a gunboat and several Upholders were keeping the pressure on the Admirals. I didn't have time to think twice, the Libertonians opened fire at me as soon as I left the interstellar hyperspace. My first target was an Upholder, designated as BSalpha, the rookie pilot was rather easy to damage. The only disturbing fact was that the amateur pilot kept falling back to the range of the Ft. Wenatchee, unfortunately, I couldn't really close up without having to face the heavy guns of the dreadnought. We called in a reserve gunboat, the Der Ritter and two reserve pilots, Ewald Putzkammer and Hans Wolfgan to assist us, unfortunately the gunboat was careless enough to wander into the range of the Liberty Dreadnaught and was shattered in a matter of seconds by the pulse rain it produced. Ewald Putzkammer didn't last any longer either, the Wenatchee shot the careless pilot's ship to pieces.

Lucas Wells was then dispatched by Admiral Engels and moments afterwards, Vizeadmiral Chezberger took out the Upholder baring the designation of BSalpha. Unfortunately, Admiral Engels was caught in a wrong turn by the Libertonians and had to jettison from his ship before destruction. Another LSF upholder, Squints McClintock arrived too late to help his buddies, I took him down as he tried to escape via the trade lanes. Realising his outnumbered state, the captain of the Ft. Wenatchee ordered a full retreat and the ship started to flee torwards Freeport 2. We managed to hit the ship hard, if it's not for the distraction that the arrival of another Libertonian gunboat, the Miracle caused, we would have caught the fleeing Dreadnaught. We destroyed the gunboat, but the Wenatchee escaped successfully. Our MND Agents then reported a rather large Libertonian backup force arriving, we were then ordered to retreat to Hamburg and prepare to defend our homeland.

As we were pursuing the Ft. Wenatchee, the ship was retaliating with its guns. I was hit by a burst of plasma, that caused the engine malfunction that made me miss the events that followed. I will report back to duty as soon as possible.

-------------------------------------------------------

Guten Tag Piloten,

Long day this was, lots of issues to attend, from Hessians to Mandalorians, the glorious Rheinwehr stood ground.

I began my patrol with a brief run around New Berlin. Just as I arrived to Dortmund, I spotted two Hessian vessels, Olaf Handlampe and Herbert Taschenlampe moving around Dortmund. At first, I asked them to identify themselves, even though the Heimdall-class gunship was pretty obvious. They only replied with saying "we are hostile" and that I "don't need to identify them". I replied with the usual, attempting to place them under arrest, but they were't willing to be escorted to Vierlande.

Even though the Hessian gunboat wasn't armored, it still seemed to be a formidable opponent on the first look and even though later it didn't prove to be so, I called for reinforcements and opened fire on the targets. Herbert Taschenlampe, a Thor-class bomber was my priority target, while the Heimdall-class kept covering him with its solaris turrets. Despite that, the Thor was a rather easy target, the pilot wasn't paricularly skilled, despite his dangerous armament, I quickly dispatched his ship without them hardly even scratching my shield. Flieger Wilhelm Gerard also arrived to assist me against the gunboat, Olaf Handlampe was no more difficult target, we took the Heimdall out with using only two Wraiths.

Flieger Stephan Mueller and a reserve gunboat, the RNC Der Ritter arrived as soon as the area was clear. Flieger Gerard returned to hangar to conduct repairs, but I began a patrol with Flieger Mueller on my wing and the Ritter covering our flank. We flew around Frankfurt, by splitting to two at Holstein, the Ritter took the lane to the Sigma-13 gate and inspected incoming traders while I took Flieger Mueller to patrol Munich. Everything was clear until we got back to Frankfurt. We spotted numerous ships incoming and had to split our forces to three to deal with them. The Ritter was ordered to chase down an Ageira ship that was lurking around the Westerwald nebula minefield, Flieger Mueller inspected a Junker of some sort while I had to deal with a weird Republican agent and ships baring false registration codes. First of all, the Gozert, a GMG Kujira-class transport under a Republican IFF was my primary objective. The pilot was talking all kinds of weird and senseless things about him spending 20 years in Sigma-13 under the orders of our government to hijack a Kujira, which he did successfully and he was in Rheinland to give it in for inspection. I told the pilot that I didn't believe that nonsense and in light of the current GMG-Rheinland negotiations, ordered him to return the transport to the GMG and face their prosecution for thievery. He was willing to comply, he said he'd give himself up at the next GMG outpost he sees. Due to the lack of our Sigma access, I couldn't supervise if he indeed did so. Secondly, a Falcon claiming to be a belonging of a Freelancer was spotted flying around New Berlin with a Liberty Police IFF. We told the pilot that he was to fix his reg codes, then he started talking about being "new to this game". I told him that he shouldn't play games while piloting an armed ship in our capital's orbit, he didn't reply anything. However, we had more pressing matters to attend soon.

We caught a transmission on system comms that seemed to be a distress signal. The pilot was claiming to be under attack by Corsairs on the Bonn-Dortmund lane, I immediately took Flieger Mueller to investigate. The Flieger remarked that he had a bad feeling about this transmission, unfortunately he turned out to be right. As soon as we've cut the lane, a ship that confirmed itself as a Mandalorian Mercenary, namingly one called Cat Lover. I kept my finger on the trigger as the conversation lasted, even though this merc didn't seem to be the mindless butcher as the others were, I didn't let her fool me with her manners. Although most of her sentences didn't make the slightest sense, as she was talking about things like "Cat House" and "Cat President" while often making cat-like noises, she was talking a remarkable lot. Of course, I asked her to leave Rheinland immediately, the conversation quickly turned into her introducing a bounty claim with using her weird sentence structures to express it. Although the Mandalorian wasn't entirely sane, she was skilled. She quickly took the Flieger's vessel out and switched to me. I managed to tag her ship with a few nuclear mines, but neither was sufficient to bring her down. Eventually, another Mandalorian, Karl Mannheim and an MND Agent, Herr Christian Stein have arrived to the area, instead of assisting either me or my enemy, the reinforcements started shooting at each other.

The fight was a long-lasting one, the Cat Lover scored quite a few well-placed hits with her dreadful Buckshot cannons. However, I somehow managed to hit her to disable her flight navigation or something, because she ejected the ship before even being heavily damaged. Karl Mannheim, the other Mandalorian picked her escape pod up. Since her ship was still flown by the automatic navigation system, I had to destroy the slowly moving Sabre with the danger of leaving the armed chassis behind unguarded and only then I could go after the fleeing Mannheim. I was unfortunately too late. They ran off into an asteroid field that scrambled my sensors, I couldn't catch them.

I ordered the RNC Mahmaschine, a battleship present to commence a sensor sweep, but it could not locate the ships either. However, we suddenly had another important danger to deal with, a Hessian gunboat moving around the system. The Heimdall, designated as Furcht was located by the Ritter and opened fire on our gunboat. I switched to my bomber, but in the meantime, as soon as the Hessian spotted the Mahmaschine, it started to flee without sense, flying all around Berlin. I told the battleship to stay behind and worry about the sensors, while we started our sweep. We caught up with the Furcht near Planet New Berlin, the Heimdall threw itself into an asteroid field. Since the threat was imminent, we had to follow. Flieger Mueller also joined us, we managed to stop the fleeing Hessian a few clicks away from the lanes. I ordered the Heimdall to power down and surrender. The ship seemed to be doing so and I ordered the Ritter to board it with a squad marines in order to attempt to take the crew alive. However, as soon as our gunboat was preparing to lock in a docking pattern, the Furcht lit up, the Hessian captain told us on system comms that he would not surrender and opened fire on the unexpecting Flieger Mueller's ship, who was too late to save his ship from destruction. I hastily gave the order to destroy the Hessian gunboat, which again attempted to flee back torwards New Berlin. His vessel was ripped apart with ease, I managed to blow him open with numerous direct hit SNAC shots.

The area was secure, we couldn't salvage any survivors from the exploding gunboat. The Ritter managed to secure Flieger Mueller's escape pod and we returned to New Berlin. I went off duty to file the report and attend other issues.

Meine Damen und Herren,

On the 18.12.817 A.S. i have started my night duty at battleship Straussberg in the neu berlin system. After some patrols i have spotted 2 non indentified vessels in the area of bonn station. When i have taken a closer look i have recognised the ships, also my scanner showed me what they are- 2 unioner arbeiter class ships- AU-Bardi and Koroglu. The Herren havent talked much and herr Bardi engaged me in a short while. Koroglu was first only looking at us and then he got away. The one unioner ship was destroyed and i returned to strassberrg for the repairs.

After some minutes i was able to continue with my duty and there i saw Koroglu again. He returned to the same sector again, but he brought help- AU-Matthias_Zevonen who was flying a roc civilian bomber class vessel and Jarek_smuggler with a pirate transport. There came 2 military reserve pilots with their mjolnirs to assist me. Herr jarek has engaged us and the fight started. Our first target was the pirate transport, after its destruction we were targeting the bomber who was also destroyed in some minutes. The last one who was left was koroglu. I ordered the reserve pilots to stay out, becouse there was no need to fight him with such force. So i have fought him alone and his ship was destroyed becouse of his mine hit by my cd.
Meine damen und herren we have managed to keep the system safe again.
