In the wake of the Bretonia-Kusari conflict, the two great Kusari Keiretsu, Samura and Kishiro, began allocating a major part of their budget into projects and initiatives that would eventually take the form of technologically advanced products. As there was abundant funding for R&D projects, successful start-up research companies started to appear - the prime target for Samura and Kishiro to absorb. The technological gold rush saw many students and professionals from their fields to step up and drive progress.

A group of freshly graduated engineers from the University of New Tokyo with a common interest in the field of applied electronics submitted several studies and project ideas that caught the interest of Kishiro Technologies. After receiving a hefty grant in exchange for rights to their technology, the group founded Musashi Innovations, a company which would end up contributing to Kishiro's ever-present intentions of spear-heading the technological advancement in and out of Kusari.

With the abrupt end of the conflict between the Kusarian Empire and the Kingdom of Bretonia, the decimation of the Kusarian Navy in the Taus and the fall of the Empire, the R&D grants and funding from the Keiretsu were slashed heavily following the inevitable economy crash. Kishiro Technologies had only kept the most successful companies under their wing. Musashi Innovations was caught outside of their list, and had to resort to different sources of income.

Fortunately, their products and potential attracted the attention of private investors that offered great sums of money to relocate to the Omicrons, promising funding as they delve into new technologies with the safety and lack of regulation provided by the Edge Worlds. Their benefactors had shifted the direction of their research to space-based technology, and supplied the corporation with enough funding to start developing exotic technologies.

Over time, great strides have been made and the corporation had grown significantly in size, enlisting employees provided both by the stakeholders and scientists staking their claim outside of House space.
