I can see you are an individual considering control over your environment as a mandatory requirement. That is admirable and certainly served you well during your career, yet some could rightfully state control is but an illusion, and that in the absolute, one has control over nothing.

But metaphysical considerations aside, I can understand your frustration. I have the feeling you perceive yourself as a special case and, given your high profile, I'm certain this is warranted.
Thus, it should not be a surprise to you that we all have been, are or will be someone else's pawn. Such a certainty can simply not be avoided as it is the direct consequence of the conflictual nature of human interactions.

Consequently Mr. J, if you believe your pride is more important than your desire to serve House Liberty, then you were correct to close this door, and I can only hope your occupation at Wall Street station will provide you with the feeling you are performing meaningful tasks of utmost importance.
