To: RFP, RM, Rheinland Bundestag - Gas Miners Guild - 10-17-2016

Officers,

The Guild takes the security of the Sigma systems and their bordering space highly seriously, and values cooperation with law enforcement in both Rheinland and Kusari. To that end, I would like to report violation of Rheinland law by two members of the Archangels Fighter Club.

An Archangel pirate train was detected in Sigma-13 but fled to the Frankfurt system before it could be intercepted and scanned. It was pursued, and revealed to be carrying a large amount of illegal weaponry. In respect of Rheinland sovereignty, Guild ships maintained an observatory role and did not attempt to confiscate this cargo. This ship appeared to be escorted by an Arrow light fighter. The pilot of this ship appeared to be mistakenly broadcasting on system-wide channels, giving clues as to their intentions.

The transport proceeded to Munich in an attempt to shake its tail, going so far as to disrupt tradelanes in the process. The ship eventually landed on Planet Holstein before reappearing with its cargo intact.

It was at this time its escort began firing on Guild ships, using cruise disruptors to assault Guild personnel. The transport continued on to New Berlin, taking down more trade lanes on its route.

Guild ships then returned to the Sigma systems.

This information is provided to RFP free of charge and no reward is expected. The Guild looks forward to further cooperation with Rheinland law enforcement in the future.

Cordially,

Keiji Namura

Given the lack of correspondence from the Rheinland Federal Polizei, this channel has been opened to all Rheinland law enforcement and Rheinland's governing body.

Guten Tag, Sehr geehrter Herr Namura. My name is Laura Carsten and I´m polizeidirektorin of the Rheinland Federal Polizei.

First, let me deeply apologize for the delay. It is unacceptable and I assure you that officer responsible for not forwarding your message for investigation is right now sitting in the transport, relocated to Olpe Border Station as hangar security night guard.

Now to the matter at hand itself. Danke for providing the information about possible law violations, I will look into it personally. The AFC pilots definitely has a lot to explain hier.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Polizeidirektorin Carsten out.

Polizeidirektorin Carsten,

I am glad to hear the information provided is of use.

The situation at hand has brought attention to the interesting scenario of ships violating Guild law in the Sigmas fleeing to Rheinland for protection, likely in violation of your law, too. The Guild would like to float the idea that, should its personnel find themselves in pursuit of a ship in this situation, GMG ships be permitted to continue their pursuit in Rheinland space and apprehend the offender.

Perhaps such an arrangement is something yourself and the Rheinland government could consider as part of an effort to ensure the mutual security of our respective territories. Of course, this is merely an idea, and any discussion on the subject is most welcome.

Guten Tag, Sehr geehrter Herr Namura.

The idea you brought is matter which belongs completely to the Bundestag. Federal polizei is hier to enforce laws, not to change them or to provide any additinal rights to any party. As long as GMG will not be allowed by laws to act like you described, we can not allow it, regardless of how much your and our goals and intentions may overlap.

Apart from that, this case seems to be first such situation reported by you and thus we don´t think it is necessary to take such significant measures based on single event.

But like I said, even if we would agree, we don´t have right to do so, thus we leave this matter to the Bundestag.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Polizeidirektorin Carsten out.

Polizeidirektorin Carsten,

The Guild fully understands your position and has no intention of violating Rheinland law, whatever it may be.

Perhaps the Rheinland Bundestag can share its opinion on the matter. Hopefully, The Guild and Rheinland can work together to warm relations and ensure our mutual security.

Polizeidirektorin Carsten,

The Guild has again encountered a smuggler in Rheinland space.

This time, a Zoner Transport was moving alien artifacts through Frankfurt. The Guild again refrained from acting in respect of Rheinland law, but this has unfortunately resulted in the perpetrator being allowed to continued unhindered.

We hope, in order to halt these illegal activities, our respective authorities can come to an appropriate agreement in the near future.
