Bonjour, And to you a Good Morning,

This Message is penned on the behalf of Ile-de-France Shipping, the Security of which I have been subjected to the control of. It is with the highest of distress that I must write these notifications now. For it is a most grievous matter that they concern.

Ile-de-France Shipping, as you do without a doubt know, has been entrusted with handling deliveries of most vital and urgent material and need across Gallia, Including to the territory of Leeds.

It was over the course of multiple journeys to leads, that birthed the need for this communique in the first place. Under every journey that we partook, we were met with Brigands, of the most vile variety. We were able to drive them off the first few times, as they were only in fighter craft. However, on the following ventures that we undertook, they beset upon us with Gunboats and heavier vessels. A terrible sum of damages and lost crew was taken, one we are still recovering from.

As the one with whom these lives were entrusted to, I implore of you, as both the head of my position, and the one bearing the safety of these lives, to grant me the means to do so.

The Measures we ask for are as follows, and ones we are fully ready to finance ourselves.

We Request the rights to acquire and operate:

4 X XJ-3 "Lynx" Gallic Very Heavy Fighter
4 X BXJ-5 "Cougar" Gallic Royal Navy Bomber
2 X "Perilous" Gallic Royal Navy Gunboat

Topic: Requisitions.

Mme Dubois,

The idea that you might have encountered Brigands on every trip through the Tau regions strikes me as somewhat alarming - assuming, of course, that you are not exaggerating. Certainly, there has been no indication of a major uptake in Brigand activity over the course of the past months and years, as far as the Royal Navy's data shows. Personally, I would have thought that those rock rats should have been easily sent packing by any competent escort wing.

However, I do recognise the need for our Crown-sanctioned corporations to maintain some degree of autonomy in defending their pilots, personnel, and cargo from the numerous dissident factions within the Tau cluster and beyond. I am well aware of the shortcomings of the Eclipse-class heavy bomber when it comes to operating against smaller craft, particularly in asteroid-dense regions. Furthermore, I have led more than enough patrol wings against Asco-class gunships to know that they are best dealt with using full measures, rather than a halfhearted approach towards stamping them out.

With these factors and others in mind, I am inclined to permit your request. Naturally, the Royal Navy cannot provide even a Crown corporation with ships fresh from the foundries - you will have to make do with older models of the XJ-series snubcraft. I have also pulled two of our most venerable Perilous-class corvettes, the Triomphant and Chartres, from the reserves to be transferred to your security division forthwith. Each is rather old, but still very serviceable for escort duties and auxiliary work. You may send crews to Nimes Station at your convenience to pick up these vessels at your earliest convenience.

In service to the Crown,

Maréchale Lucie LeBlanc
Duchesse de Languedoc et Maine
Marine Royale Gauloise

Subject: Ships received

Bonjour,

I would like to apologize for the time it took us to respond. We were certain our thanks had already been relayed but, upon prompting it was discovered that indeed, it had not been delivered.

And hence, I am penning this communique.

The ships you have so graciously provided have recently been cleared for flight from our Headquarters, and are being sparingly doled out to our security forces, to escort covoys.

The Triomphant will be the Flagship of the security forces and will primarily be acting in the Gallic Borderworlds.

With this act, the Security of the Ile-de-France shipping, and It's friends, is more than Guaranteed. From all of us here at IDF, We thank you.

Warmest Regards-
Emelia Dubois,
Security Chief - Ile-de-France Shipping
