Liberty Navy 501st Fleet - Info and Feedback - 501st Fleet - 11-09-2016 The 501st Liberty Navy Fleet Founded in 817 AS, The Liberty Navy 501st, or simply, the 501st is a volunteer branch of the Liberty Navy. The 501st fleet is centered around Veterans absorbed from other destroyed or damaged units during the wars with Gallia and Rheinland, as well as the ongoing conflict with the Nomads and Outcasts. Though considered 'properly equipped' the 501st lack a core of experienced personnel, drawing in large numbers of untested recruits. The 501st experienced notable setbacks following the Rheinland-Liberty war. Being essentially a relocation and mustering point for units that had been depleted below operational capacity, it saw a rush of faces joining and quickly leaving, and it was only in 823 that the fleet took it's first steps into becoming a full fledged naval force. With the Logistic of redeployment sorted, the 501st have finally been issued a deployment, and given Fleet Orders. Though still in the process of Relocating, the 501st have formed a strong precense in the systems of southern Liberty, notably Pennsylvania, California, Texas and Kansas. In spite of relatively tenous beginnings, the 501st are slowly growing, providing a direct response and bulwark against the forces of both Hellfire and Outcast plaguing Liberty as of recent. The Fleet Headquarters are located on Planet Erie, where they are often found workin with local law enforcement to combat threats found in the system. The 501st currently is comprised of only one battlegroup, Battlegroup Aegis, Lead by Captain Trondheim aboard the Sentinel Class Dreadnought LNS-Leviathan. Outside of the Leviathan, a rough two dozen fighter craft have been allocated to the Battlegroup, and two siege cruisers, with a fleet of a half dozen support and transport vessels available for logistical needs. Diplomacy The Liberty Navy 501st Fleet Retains all the standard diplomatic ties of the Liberty Navy. Equipment: Though It's arsenal is wide, the ships in servie with the 501st fleet are limited.
