Viktor Brandt is the oldest character I have on Disco. He was the first character I made, exclusively to join the BDM back in 2013. Since then, I left BDM and had the character idly sitting around. I briefly picked him back up to make sure he had permission to use BDM granted ships, then forgot about him for a while, until this year (2016), when Char invited me into VWA roleplay involving shady business. I used Brandt largely because the character that they needed for the story had to be a lawful sort, so he fit the bill quite well. It wasn't until recently, when I fully decided to dedicate myself to a character that I chose Brandt, largely because there's some sentimental value there.
