A massive EMP discharge was detected earlier today in the heart of Liberty, New York System. The territory covered by the blast seems to mostly contain the immediate vicinity of the jump connection between New York and the California systems and we have already received reports that the gates are not functioning. All civilian traffic is advised to avoid the area as the EMP presence can linger for some time.
An update on the situation: it seems as though that the connection between these two systems has in fact been severed as the blast has delivered minor damage to the gates. Automatic shutdown protocols were engaged in order to prevent any unneeded issues and the gates have been shut down for the time being. Repairs will be conducted soon. We will keep you up to date as new information is provided.

The parties involved have issued more information regarding the material quotas needed to initiate repairs on the damaged gate.

They need to be delivered to the specified stations near the site for safekeeping and further use. The goods are as follows:
First and foremost, the delivery of 100 units of Pre-Built Gate Mechanisms from Pueblo Station in the Colorado System to West Point Military Academy is issued specifically to Ageira Innovations and Deep Space Engineering due to the sensitive nature of these goods. The rest are up for grabs for most shipping companies and private participants. One such shipment is 150 000 units of Specialized Electronics from Planet New Tokyo to Riverside Station in the California System. The second of such shipments are a manufacturing order of 220 000 units of Cheap Hull Plating, ready for pickup from Oder Shipyard in the New Berlin system and to be delivered to West Point Military Academy for now. Half of the later will be stockpiled for future use if such emergencies happen. As for the shipping costs - the first of the three contracts is really of no public concern - the Ageira Innovations and DSE will no doubt present their own billing to the Republic officials. As for the later two public choices - a crate of Kusarian electronics fetches a price at around 9 000$, while the hull panels fetch around 7 000$. 1) This thread title ends with "(Active)" which should mean that the event has already started, but the time on the forums is 21:25 UTC as I'm writing this, so I'm guessing that the server date is November 26, so the event hasn't actually started, based on the first sentence in your announcement. When does the event actually start?
2) What are the event commodities that we need to buy?

@Juan_Arquero The event started already. But Spazzy left a time gap between the disabling of the Gate (which happened earlier today) and the time when the repairs can begin because otherwise it would likely be already repaired again ^^

Pretty much what @"Werdackel|" said. The commodities and their information will be updated on the first post after the next planned server restart, which is roughly ten hours from now. Right now the event is labelled as active because the effects are in place - a.i. the gates are disabled.

The commods are going to appear in Kusari and Rheinland, yes, but the gate parts are going to be taken from the next system over. With a small catch though. I did warn the instigator of the event that nuking a gate/station one jump from the buypoint for the gate parts would be rather problematic, but oh well.
