Fleet Warship Database

This database will serve as the Armed Forces' listing for active, reserve and decommissioned ships that have honorably served alongside the men and women of the Republic of Malta. May their legacy last on and their successors find victory on the battlefield.

"Go with honor, fight with pride."

Class: 'Perpetrator'-class Maltese Assault Dreadnought
Crew Compliment: 1427 people
Shields: Heavy
Armor: Impenetrable
Armament: UNKNOWN

Dreadnought Invictus, construction pending, is the proposed flagship for the Maltese Armed Forces, and the current tie down for the Maltese offensive against the homeworld. Designed by the Hellfire Legion alongside Ranseur schematics provided by the Republic, the Invictus is planned to be the third of the 'Perpetrator' line of warships, sister ship to the Ven'Gyr and the Ravager, boasting a differing weapon configuration, beefed armor and a more reliable power distribution system. Fueled by a largely untested 'Beta-fuel Reactor' designed as part of the Republic's initiative to extend Maltese scientific exploits, the ship is expected to be a juggernaut of unmatched potential, able to critically destroy any hostile warship within a moment's notice.

The ship is expected to be completed by early 827 A.S., assuming all design and construction is kept at its current pace.

Class: 'Aurora'-class Light Battleship
Crew Compliment: 857 people
Shields: Standard
Armor: Moderate
Armament: [CLASSIFIED]

Battleship Aurora, constructed in early 805 A.S., is the de-facto flagship of the Maltese Armed Forces, and the main base of operations from which the Military bases their mainstay operations. Originally designed as the flagship of the archaic 'Swords of Malta', the ship was commandeered by the Republic from Valetta's drydocks following the separation of the 72nd Fleet from the fallen Maltese Navy. Since then, she has served as the backbone of the Military, and stands at an ever-present guard in the face of the odds stacked against her.

Designed mostly from the ground up, the Aurora is based off of pre-submission design documents of the successful 'Sarissa'-class design. As such, she is a light warship, tasked to fight with maneuverability in mind. In addition to this, she is equipped with what is considered the first of the 'LUNA' relays, an advanced artificial intelligence originally based on the ship after its discovery in Omicron Delta. It has since then been moved to the Barcelona, the Republic's de-factio capital, but maintains a strong relay to the AI, allowing the ship a strong defense against cyber-warfare.

Class: RM-1B 'Xiphos'-class MkI Assault Destroyer
Crew Compliment: 284 people
Shields: Standard
Armor: Moderate
Armament: [CLASSIFIED]

Destroyer Santa Maria, constructed in 784 A.S., is the oldest serving warship in the Maltese Armed Forces. Officially a heavily modified RM-1B Maltese Assault Destroyer, the ship is a 'Xiphos'-class modification to the aged design, and as such lacks many of the characteristic improvements of later models. In addition to this, she also utilizes a more conventional H-Fuel powered drive core, able to power her systems to about 80% that of a typical RM-2A, such as M.N.S. Navarra. While this means that she actually requires substantial funding to fuel and manage logistically, the Santa Maria remains a central part of the Maltese Military.

Due to the limitations of her drive core, she is not as combatively capable as newer model destroyers. However, this lack of a charged singularity, in addition to the ability to disable the drive core without destroying the ship, makes her absolutely perfect for covert operations and reconnaissance, two fields she is commonly utilized in by the Maltese Intelligence Service. The ability to utilize minimum power draw and cover her exhaust affords her a limit few destroyers of her class are able to accomplish, and the MIS makes great use of this ability.

However, her main role remains front-line combat, and despite the reduced power capability, she is still a considerably powerful piece of the Military's arsenal.

Class: RM-2A 'Storta'-class Assault Destroyer
Crew Compliment: 239 people
Shields: Standard
Armor: Moderate
Armament: [CLASSIFIED]

Destroyer Navarra, constructed in 815 A.S., is by far one of the newest additions to the Maltese arsenal. Utilizing the same classified singularity-based drive core common among RM-2's, she is a heavily armed and utilized asset for the Military's war against their enemies. Originally commandeered as a joiner ship commanded by dissident Maltese Naval forces, the Navarra serves as the compliment to Task Force Imperium and the rest of Battleship Aurora's compliment.

Utilizing standard-issue arms and armor, most of what the Navarra is capable of stems from her crew and their familiarity with their charge. Since their induction into the Armed Forces, the same crew that came with her remains at the helm, and only the command position seems to change with each deployment.

Class: RM-1E 'Storta'-class Assault Destroyer
Crew Compliment: 274 people
Shields: Standard
Armor: Considerable
Armament: [CLASSIFIED]

Destroyer Abaddon, construction date unknown, is so far the newest addition to the Armed Forces, though not at all a new ship. Originally a Maltese warship either captured or defected to the Hellfire Legion, Destroyer Abaddon served for countless years under the banner of the Legion, being utilized regularly as a tool against the Liberty Military. Fully armed and well maintained, the Abaddon is an example of a Maltese warship cared for by men and women who treat their tools well.

Officially transferred in mid-late May 826, the ship is currently being refitted with Maltese colors and identification codes, and is being inducted into the Military.

2 "Stonemason" Class Damage-Control Units

Key Crew and Personnel:
Colonel Leonardo Valdez
Knight Phillip Jackson

Notes:

A newer design within the 72nd Maltese Doctrine, the Delphi was requested for construction and deployment for biological research into Cardamine. While there were other factions within Sirius with more complex facilities, the 72nd Maltese Fleet needed a mobile R&D Lab to move with them, as well as a fully functioning hospital-class ship. Capable of treating 800 wounded, 200 Cryogenic stored casualties, and 300 permanent-assignment personel, the Delphi acts as the mobile hospital, civilian Dormitories, and research center for genetic damage reversal systems for those affected by Cardamine.

Notes:

With the emergence of the Tridente, many Maltese fleets began orders for this new anti-fighter platform. The 72nd Maltese Fleet obtained theirs when a freelance Matesean joined the ranks of the 72nd fleet. Outfitted with an experimental PTE-HN Engine array, the Guadiana serves as the fleet's anti-bomber gunship, but has never seen any entrenched action.
