My Name is Chron1c, Just a wealthy and successful freelancer.
I write this little footnote as a tribute to my success. To show other fortunate wealthy freelancers that you can have your cake and eat it!!
I was just just dropping off a load of side arms to the Genoa Base in Omicron 80. I was in the bar minding my own business having a beer when on of my old Outcast acquaintances joined me.
I was surprised as I haven't seen this guy for years yet here he was slinking over, and I bet to apologize for losing that cash and that load of Cardimine he said he was going to deliver to a Liberty base for me. After a bit arse kissing and groveling I got the impression he was after something and it was big, as he looked very shifty. I stood up pulled out my revolver as I was disgusted at this oxygen thief, as he owed me big time so why waste anymore time talking ill just blow a hole in his skull, (none too uncommon occurrence in this bar) I have more important things to do like make money! (Note well freelancers, always have leverage or attempt to gain leverage as it always pays off). After a few moments of serious stress and some begging and pleading from this loser he said he has something for me that would make it all good, so I holstered the revolver and sat back down with a smile and my interest was piqued. He offered me a Council ID! He said he got it of a Gallic Trader who was desperate to escape Gallia so he traded it off with some Rienland ID, not that I cared about what he did or how achieved it. So I said OK I'll take it off your hands as there could be money to be made! Sadly I had to deal with him afterwards as hey this guy knows too much about my dealings. (Note well freelancers don't leave lose ends otherwise your reputation could be shot and you can't make money if people hate you, kind of bad for your health to be honest).
So after disposing of the body, in this base vented corpses are a common occurrence for those that are not careful or too greedy are the card table. I decided to take a trip to Gallic space to see what riches can me made.
I find myself after many months of traveling, i found a lovely place in the Artois System called the Arras Base, this place has a great bar, the women the wine oh freelancers you must visit, Here I found my new boat, i decided that a personal static base would be foolish and prone to attacks by my competitors, so with my Council ID, I was with a few hefty bribes, got myself a Redemption, one of the Councils state of the art Battleships! Oh how thrilled I was, so after many months of fitting it out with luxury fittings befitting my wealth and success. I traveled in my new boat with my personally selected crew and selected women of taste to the Champagne system, to visit a lovely station called Chalons-en-Champagne. Here I fitted the lovely new boat out with the best of Council weaponry and the best Armour money could by all under the noses of Council officials, those guys are corrupt I fill their palms with a few bills and they all turn a blind eye.
I have STOLEN this lovely new boat right from under the very noses of the Council Leadership. Freelancers don't fear the houses as you rule Sirius! Be brave and don't fear to take to the opportunities as the come as one day your too can have your castle.
As I sail off to new systems I flip the bird to the decades long Council war with the royals and the pathetic squabble with the Gallic corporate groups, just so unproductive! Now I sit in my nice newly appointed heavily armed castle with my women and fine wine, living a life so well deserved after so much toil and bother.
Yes I will continue to reap the benefits of my Council ID as after all I earned it fair and square.
NOTE
To all Council, Outcasts, GRN and pirate scum if you so much as whistle in my direction you will be destroyed.
I will give one warning then, I WILL OPEN FIRE. Please don't hassle me as it upsets my wine cabinet and the girls get all stressed and dry up, that isn't good OK.
