Every officer in The Order serving within combat roles is expected to keep retinue of personnal small fighter craft even if one's in command position of vessels with so commanding presence as carriers and battleships. Consider it a practical custom from Orillion's times that served us well. Admiralty board or me are no exception nowadays and Kahl's Bastet-class space superiority fighter is expected to be his private snubcraft that he stole as well. Fortunatelly for you, Liberty lacks technology and resources to utilize Bastet at efficiency expected in The Order standards. The reactor, capacipator and energy grid will leave him dry when he least expects it, there are limits to what their engineers can do.
