[FP11 NEMP] Witness statement of survivor Sonya Friendly Hunt [open to Zoner friends] - Jack_Henderson - 01-10-2017

// Three awesome video files that show what is described here from a different perspective. A must-watch. //

This is a transcript of the interview that Zoner rescue crews had with Ms. S. Hunt - pilot of the Roc Bomber of the [FP11] security department, around 1 hour after the firing in Omicron Delta died down and the last remaining Nomad and Outcast forces disengaged and left.

Quote:I was on a routine patrol around FP11 when suddenly station security alerted everybody of the registered priming of an explosive device on board. At this point, it was clear to me that this had to be linked to the bomb threat that we received.

The situation was unclear, even before the bomb's detection. There were Core vessels in the vicinity and there were calls to attack them. Outcast wanted to attack Corsairs. Some red contacts were already at 14k and broadcasting, plus alien voices could be heard. A very chaotic situation which did not immediately show how fragile the defense of humanity would be, and how fast it would disintegrate.

The Core vessels - a short while before the EMP Blast - opened fire. I am not entirely sure, but their target was a either a Zoner vessel or the Outcast Exile vessel. Mayhem ensued, fire was exchanged and Corsairs and Zoners concentrated fire on Core when moments later the EMP detonation rocked the vicinity and took out all shielding.

Judging by the comments of the Core on scene, their engagement prior the attack and the threat of exactly such an attack, the Core warships were engaged and I saw two of them exploding after an intense exchange of fire. With no shields on any vessel, combined with high radiation, this was an extremely hazardous situation. There were many casualties in this fight, I lost count amid the wrecks and the attempts to contain the chaos somehow.

I stayed near the Freeport, trying to coordinate assistance, trying to establish communication with those on board. Another Zoner commander - (SolarR[R]Spirit.Walker - dispatched a rescue crew to the station for damage control measures. Radio contact was patchy, but from what I understood they tried to keep the reactor from going unstable.

This was at the same time when a gunship class vessel named Charles.d'Tancarville opened fire on the Freeport, strafing it. When hit by a snac and more fire, he crashed his expoding ship into the Freeport. I was chasing him, and I can say 100 % that this was no accident. With the Freeport shielding gone, the impact caused more structural damage of unknown severity.

FP11 control managed to report back their status. Their systems were fried and life support systems were failing fast. Unable to sustain operations, they ordered crews to abandon the station. In several waves, escape pods were discharged and picked up by a mixed fleet of vessels.

At the same time, a massive group of Wilde and Alien forces was fighting humanity somewhere else. I was not there, but the explosion ripples were detected easily. The defense of the Freeport against a massive alien engagement rested mostly on the Corsairs. From what I saw, their fleet was destroyed, together with every Zoner and Zoner ally that was fighting them around 20k off the Freeport, where rescue operations were being organised.

After the last escape pods were spotted and tractored in, Zoner vessels - (SolarR[R]Spirit.Walker and [TAZ]Digger.Fish - began to avacuate the survivors immediately towards Minor. I escorted them, and they only narrowly escaped an attack by Wilde vessels.

With little forces left scattered around the Freeport, we were no match for the remaining Alien and Wilde warships that were covered by snubs of the Outcast forces. They butchered each and everybody, the Zoner vessels that were helping with the search&rescue, and everybody who was still there to help. They only left me behind amid the drifting wreckage.

I reestablished communications with the Zoner evacuation vessels that managed to get the FP11 crew out of the system, and they confirmed that they were safe and headed to Gran Canaria. I did another sweep of the area, trying damage assessment, but with my scanners fried by the EMP, and my systems damaged from the attack by the Outcast, plus the scope of the chaos, I broke off and made my way to Livadia Shipyard to call for help.

Humanity was beaten there.

I think, we could have held the lines against the alien attack, if not the Outcast had systematically attacked the Corsair fleet, even at the time when it was clear that there were only few forces left between the damaged Freeport and the approaching aliens. I did not realize it from the start, but in the end it became clear that the Outcast were not an ally, when an L\- Outcast fighter even engaged my FP11 bomber.

Furthermore, the role of Auxesia forces is questionable, as they have been consequently removing Order forces from Delta, and indeed the Order hardly managed to field forces for the defense - likely at least partially influenced by their actions. With the Order's protective shield weakened by Auxesia, and the Corsair's forces weakened by the Outcast, we were left fighting for ourselves.

Furthermore, I am not sure the Core is behind this bomb attack any more fully - at least their standard fighting forces were likely in the dark about it. Reason: Some of their commanders seemed as surprised as everybody else when their shieldings failed and they suffered a heavy toll in the initial stages of the combat, in which they were positioned badly. Core|WV-Tangra was wedged in a very difficult position and was very vulnerable when the EMP took its shielding, which is highly unlikely for Core senior warship commanders. However, given the Core stance, it does not matter: the Core is the enemy of the free people of the Omicrons. If they had not damaged the Freeport, none of this could have happened.

Moreover, I totally underestimated the strength and numbers of Nomad and Wilde, and their ruthless efficiency when cooperating with Outcast fighter wings. I suggest the CoF consider steps to address this issue because we cannot keep a neutral stance and offer friendship to those who assist the enemy that wants humanity to end - either actively (as in the engagements against Corsairs, but also Order and by attacking me in the end) or passively by not acting when we need aid.

To end, this was the worst day of my life. And after seeing the Freeport being damaged before, I seriously did not think this was possible. But the magnitude of yesterday's annihilation was immensely more painful than the last. If we are meant to recover from this, we need leadership and strength in the face of powerful enemies and treason.

Topic: Auxesia

Short version: They are definitely not our friends. They like aliens.

But from the start: Flew into Delta with the Solar Runner Destroyer, and we were engaged by Vagrant alien vessels and later Core. We managed to keep the Vagrants off, until a horde of nomads appeared, tough little buggers. Some Core vessels were close also, and in the mess gradually the Nomads were repelled, before the Core turned on us. The destroyer was heavily damaged, I slipped into Kappa and made it to Livadia with the help of cover by Corsairs.

Anyway, what struck me as a surprise was that the Auxesia vessel did not only not assist us, but had nothing better to do than to make snotty comments and play the sports commentator role in what was going on. The logs will nicely show that.

Pictures to show that Auxesia did not get involved, not when Core attacked, not when Aliens attacked.

When challenged on the reasons why the Auxesia ship did not engage the Nomads, there was an answer like: they were not the ones that attacked you.

Are they being serious?
Are these people we have welcomed on our Freeports?
Who needs enemies if you have such friends?
