Code MESSAGE DECRYPTING... |||||||||||||||||||||||||| 100% Greetings, I have been asked by the Guildmasters to acquire scanning equipment to detect any Nomad infectees arriving on 6 of our stations in Sirius. We've heard rumors that the Core agents responsible for the NEMP bomb on Freeport 11 were infected, and for obvious reasons we'd like to avoid a repeat of that with our own bases. We believe that the Order would know the most about detecting such things, so I would like to know what equipment is available and how much it would cost us to procure and install on our bases. RE: To: The Order - Jeremy Hunter - 02-03-2017 Mr. Dietrich, I would like to first apologize for the lateness of this transmission. Things have been hectic recently, and I have barely been able to send a comm out to an up and coming group of researchers. But that is neither here nor there. I am Doctor Ellie Hunter, Director of the Order Science Division. In regards to your request regarding scanning equipment, I do have the technology to speed up what is usually an annoyingly tedious medical checkup. The equipment itself we are happy to provide, though in this case we might have to take you up on the payment. If you can inform us how many installations in total are in need of augmentation against the Nomads, I can start planning out how much materials and funding I will need to build and supply the need parts and training to keep these machines up and running. But, I must stress one thing - these can detect infected personnel, especially those that are far along in their infection. These will not detect Spectres, who are willing agents of the Nomads who are not infected but use other means of communication and tactics. As my division is spread very thin, it will be difficult to train to to combat Spectres at the current time. I can discuss with my brother, Jeremy, about diverting some of his men your way for this fact. We cannot let another Freeport 11 happen. Just let us know the details and we'll work it out. Yours, Doctor Ellie Hunter Director, Order Science Division SD Flagship Kusanagi RE: To: The Order - Alex. - 02-05-2017 ¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤ Transmission Incoming ¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤-¤ ¤ LOCATION: Freistadt Base, Omega-7 ¤ COMM-ID: Marvin Dietrich ¤ TARGET-ID: The Order ¤ SUBJECT: Infection scanners ¤ ENCRYPTION: IMG M.E.T.A.N.O.L. Code MESSAGE DECRYPTING... |||||||||||||||||||||||||| 100% Thanks for getting back to us, Dr. Hunter. In a perfect universe all of our stations would be fully covered, but we likely don't have the resources to allow for that. As we originally stated, we'd like to start with 6 of our stations (the higher priority ones - Falkland, Java, Aland, Siloso, Falster, Freistadt), though 3 (Falkland, Java, Aland) would be acceptable depending on the materials required. We're not convinced only protecting 1 base would be enough to prevent serious blows to our ability to operate (IMG is a pretty decentralised organisation below the guildmaster level, by our nature), but if needed, we would choose Falkland. We're not going to ask you to divert people from a cause that is already stretched pretty thinly. Right now we have almost no protection, so this is going to be a step in the right direction. RE: To: The Order - Jeremy Hunter - 02-05-2017 Mr. Dietrich, Six bases to start out with will be difficult, but thank God almighty the Order does not fight alone. I can equip all six bases, especially with the founding of a secondary unit of the Science Division, the Omicron Research Group. I will contact them and see if we can't lessen the load. In regards to Java, Fort Siloso, and Falkland - I can coordinate with the Liberty and Bretonian Supreme Commander, Admiral Jeremy Hunter. My brother is currently based within the Coronado System, a few short jumps away from your Tau Installations. He can reach Falkland and install the needed scanners there, and let his team supervise and train your engineers and did technicians to outfit Java and Fort Siloso, which are farther behind Gallic Lines than he can safely get to. As for Alan, Friedstadt, and Falster - I can coordinate with our can closest teams and cover Aland and Falster. The same principlevel can be followed - we train your people and install on an initial base or two, and then your techs and engineers can move and equip the more conspicuous installations the Order and her allies may have less...ease getting too. Now, I am still putting together the list of materials, personnel, and fuel needed to cover expenses, but I am doing my utmost to keep costs low and not impact the Miner's Guild. We value your friendship, and are willing to stand by our friends however we can. I will get in touch with you standout once I have discussed with the ORG and our friends in the Omegas about the best way to go about this. I will inform you soon, about our final costs and anything else we may run into. Yours, Doctor Ellie Hunter Director, Order Science Division SD Flagship Kusanagi ADDENDUM: The Order has forces within Coronado. Would the IMG installation on Pecos need to be outfitted with NDS as well? -Ellie |
