Cardamine = Melange?? - Craboduck - 01-19-2017 Hello, I've been freelancing around since the game was out and only recently started reading Frank Herbert's Duna series (actually started from prequels in chronological order). And I see an obvious analogy between Cardamine from Malta and Melange from Arrakis: euhporia, prolonged lifespan, enchanced awareness, fatal withdrawal, etc.. Which makes me wonder if Freelancer could actually be Dune's long-shot prequel? Other then that, I could only call it a bad case of plagiarism or is it really such a widespread cliche, never thought about Freelancer in that way before..
