Greetings fellow scientists and researchers. My name is Ryo Kase , Minister of Research and Development of Crayter Republic.

A few words about our new Ministry. It was created after the Crayterian Republic was forced to move from Tau-44 to Coronado system with a sole purpose : to research and develop new ways and to build the foundation of a new home. Currently it is supervising all the civilian wings and corporations that have Crayterian roots.

Now , to business. We currently are in the process of inhabiting Yuma , in Coronado. As I think that everyone read the preliminary reports about Yuma , you know that the landmass is currently overrun by aggressive and rapid growing plant life. The Republic Engineers found a way of building city islands on the surface of the oceans , however this plant life is still a mystery and I for one am not a man to let a mystery pass by.

At the current state , our efforts to mine and to settle the landmass was.. inefficient. We had tried everything we could think of , including even a localized bombardment from Malachite on a certain area. In less then 48 hours , the place was once more occupied by the plant life.
All conventional ways had been tried and one by one , they failed.

We are a proud a Nation , however I do not like to loose a battle , especially one with a plant , so I make an offer. The Crayterian Republic is ready to offer you a place to stay on our city of New Astarte, as well as access to materials and labs. In exchange we will solve one of the greatest mysteries of the system and work on having a place in our Nations memory and maybe even a glorious place among the Sirian Scientists if a breakthrough for solving the problems on Yuma can be discovered.

This comm frequency is always open , so feel free to contact us.

She does not desire your presence there.
She makes it clear enough.

You went far enough with your desacration. You have reached the red line.
Cross it, and your people will pay the price.

This is one and final warning. To you, the Republic and everyone else.

Yuma will not bleed.

Dear Mr Kase,

My name is Jack Worth and I'm representing Planetform Incorporated as acting Deputy CEO in absence of our current leader Mr. Fletchey. Upon receiving your request, I searched through Planetform Neural Net archives and quickly found couple of highly relevant dossiers.

As you might suggest, this is not the first attempt to solve the problem of Yuma. And it is obvious choice to go to the best experts in making of habitable planets, to us, Planetform Inc. And this document testifies that former leadership of the Republic already made contacts with Planetform's about this matter. Moreover, from this document you can conclude that some progress was already made on it.

Unfortunately, last years were tough for Planetform. We lost many ships, many people. We lost resources. But we still have archives. I was able to locate the documentation for the project in question. They contain quite important data that could be a solution to your little problem.

Now you have choice. We can restore that three-years-old effort, assemble a team, reopen the lab on Canterbury Station and start from where they left it. Alternatively, we can just hand over the data to you for an appropriate compensation. Please, let me know what is your preference.

Yours sincerely
Jack Worth

Greetings,

Hello there, my name is Karl Richter and I represent the Engineering division biotechnology department. Usually we work on trying to make our technology more environmentally friendly, it also gives us a very clear insight on how not to make plant life thrive.

For a good couple of years, we've struggled with a pollution problem upon Pittsburgh. We learned that certain gases that are a by-product of our industrialization upon the planet work as an effective 'weed killer'. We also learned that variations to the gases omitted can also attack certain strands of plant life. We cannot guarantee the effectiveness on your invasive plant problem, however we are open to giving it a very substantial go.

The potential side effects is localized non-plant growth via ground contamination. We will be specifically looking for a twenty kilometer square section with minimal water outlets as to contain the chemicals in the area and risking other innocent wildlife. We are confident that we can, along with the assistance of Planetform, be able to contain, if not eradicate, your little plant problem.

Sincerely,
Deputy of RDE
Karl Richter

Greetings Jack ,

I am sorry for the late response , i was planet side accompanying a survey team on a small island.

The Ministry that i lead had at the moment re-formed the old 53rd Squadron and they act as mobile research lab. I am more then happy to re-open the research on the anti-FloraGro. I will be most then happy to dispatch a team of Crayterian scientists to the Cantenbury as soon as we settle the logistics and everything else. However , i want to inform Planetform that if any team from your organization chooses to do some survey on the planet , our facilities are open for you and also the research lab Minerva is also available .

I think that would be best if both of us sends teams to the other party as we can study the Anti-FloraGro on Cantenbury , maybe your teams can help us to catalog and see what we missed , what makes this flora to be so ... veracious.

Kind regards,
Ryo Kase

Greetings Mr. Karl Richter ,

Sorry for the late respond , as i already explained to the Planetform , i was conducting a small survey.

Your proposal is intriguing , however I think that we should check more in detail the substance you are talking about , as we do not want to create a chain event that may lead to the destruction of the eco-system.

I would like to offer your department an offer to come to Minerva Research Station in Coronado and present the solution in question , also would like to send a Crayterian team to Pittsburgh to compile some data as well.

However I must warn you that this plant life is not your average one and we are afraid as i said before not to start a chain reaction that may lead to a natural disaster , after , we are looking to catalog and possible to harvest some of the plant life for Republic use.

Kind regards ,
Ryo Kase

Dear Mr Kase,

I tend to agree that joint effort is much more likely to be effective in this case. We would be glad to accommodate your research team with samples of the aggressive flora on Canterbury Station once the lab for that is reopened and properly equipped.

Now to that matter. Scientific facilities of this kind are expensive, so we would like to cut our (and your) costs by entering an agreement with your government to provide Planetform with materials and equipment required for this line of research. I will open separate comm channel with you to discuss the details.

Finally, Planetform will send an expedition to Planet Yuma once the first results of the research are available and field tests needed.

I am looking forward to work with you.

Yours sincerely
Jack Worth
