Admin Clarification: IDs and engaging Nomad players. - sindroms - 02-02-2017

As a part of the last week's vote, we have decided to allow and clarify that Nomad IDs (And K'Hara IDs) are allowed to be engaged by and assisted against by any ID. Note that this only covers the Nomad IDs, but not nomad-related ones such as Wild.

As such, the new rule reads:
4.4 Every char must have only one type of ID equipped and they must play to that ID. Nomads are allowed to be engaged by all IDs. In all other cases where these restrictions and allowances conflict with the server rules, the ID overrides the rules.

Most of you have probably been doing so as well, but this change and clarification should now remove odd sanctions such as human characters assisting against one of the biggest threats to Humanity. Wilde are excluded in order to not damage their incognito roleplay encounters.

This makes everything a lot easier in the end. Which means less sanctions for a bunch of Pirates and Navy banding together to face the Marduk Swarm~

The Order approves. As does the Blood Dragons.

Edit:

Also Inferno?

Ninja'd.

As the first poster after all of your announcements, I must ask the stupid questions.

Does this mean, that something like a Freelancer or Zoner ID can start the engagement, and not be confined to self defense?

The rule was slightly reworded, it should make more sense now regarding ID lines and rule override.

Do ZoI restrictions still apply? Can Lane Hackers engage Nomad players in Omicron Iota?

ZOI Restrictions still apply.

Nice to finally see an unspoken rule finally be written down. 10/10

The equal and opposite reaction of Indie Nomad players on the poor soul still in shock of the mind games is to RP your best with them and hope they don't (respectively) attack.

The main role of Indie Nomads is to increase awareness of their surroundings, not knowing if someone will smite 'em, so give this delicate balance a chance.
