Nova slumped back onto the impromptu-bed. Her once stoic, proud, navy-coloured uniform was now in tatters - a victim to the months spent stranded on Planet Pygar. She gazed out the tent window and onto the desert landscape. In the distance, a sandstorm was quickly approaching. She rolled away from the window, fearful whether or not the tent would continue to hold against the buckling force of the sandstorm. "I hate sand..." she began to mutter before trailing off, trying her best to take her mind off what was outside. It would only be less than 24 hours until the Core arrived to pick her up. She hoped she would survive Pygar one more day and then be off the Planet for good.

She looked around the empty tent. Unoccupied beds lay untouched. She was alone. Her thoughts began to wander. Where did it all go wrong? How did it come to this?

She rolled onto her back and closed her eyes. One last sleep before salvation. However tonight there would be no dreams. Only nightmares.
