Betrayal - Diana.Daymarova - 02-04-2017 As Kathleen arrived to her rented appartment she immediately bought wine and start drinking. She wanted to forget everything that happened to her just a few moments ago. She feels very sick. "Why didn't I run? Why didn't I get myself killed? She drinks a glass of wine and hits the table with her fist. Then She folds her arms and slowly slides her head on them. Deep within her, the usual happines and wittiness were all taken away by anger and sorrow "Those bastards. How do they know..." She stops right when se notices herself having a monolog, because it was her first one in her life. She is surprised. "Huh, so now I'm even talking to myself, well done, Kath, well done... You've screwed yourslef up..." There is nothing more in her mind than a certain Rheinland agent trying to help her with assaulting the rogue instalation and then... THEM! THEY came all around the place. Surrounding her, a bounty hunter that was willing to help and finally, an explosion of the rheinlander vessel. "Dammit! Get out of my mind!" A broken shards of glass falls off the table. Kathleen with glass shards stabbed deep into her hand ignores the pain due to a huge amount of thoughts in her mind. What if she is on the wrong side, what if THEY were right? A hotel clean lady openes the door. "Is everything Oka... Oh my god! Miss Emmerson, what are you doing?" "I think you should leave me alone, for now..." "Miss Emmerson, You are bleed..." "Leave, now!" "O... Okay, as you wish." As cleaning lady closes the door, Kathleen looks out of the window. She sees manhattan's surface, the huge city. But not the beautiful city as she has seen before, she sees a corrupted place with slavers all around it... "No! Stop, please!" A head hit on the table was loud enough to wake up Kathleen's neighbour. She goes to open him, but firstly, she cleans all the glass shards and patches the holes in her hand. Then she opens the door. "What's the reason for you to be that loud?! And why do you have bloody patches on your hands?" She covers her hands behind her body. "Oh... Those are just... Knife cuts. You know, I was preparing lunch when you came here." "Is that the reason for you to shout?" "Ehh, well I got kind mad while peeling the celery, you know, it's very hard to peal." "Also, lunch, in the evening? Hmm, very weird..." "I think you should go..." "Yes, I think so too." Kathleen closes the door and breathes heavily. She sits down on the chair and starts drinking wine from the bottle. Now a picture of Niverton base starts to project in her mind. "No! Why me, why not someone else?!" She hits the table so it breaks. She starts to feel cursed, she starts to feel hate to herself escalating more and more. With her room all broken and dirty, she sits on the bed. She thinks: My father always told me: "There is no difference between presence and future, the future becomes a new presence through the passage of time." Future becomes presence and nobody can stop it. Speaking of stopping, there is one thing that should be stopped, and that is the inhumanity the liberty is in. You, Hellfire bastards, I've never really been a fan of you, but you somehow managed to convince me. "This is my path, and I'll take control over every step that I take on it. Next step: deserting this corrupted system!" RE: Betrayal - Diana.Daymarova - 02-05-2017 There was only one thing left to do. An upholder bomber docked on planet Denver. Kathleen couldn't believe what she's doing. It was near midnight and her parents were sleeping, holding each other. Tear drops were making a quiet sound when fell on the ground. To Kathleen, however, the sound was very loud. It was a sound of giving up a whole life to make an important change. Parents didn't even know about Kathleen's break in. There was a big fireplace standing in the living room. The flame was dying. Ripped pieces of Kathleen's identification papers and licenses made the trick. After sitting and sulking she finally encouraged herself to do the "thing". The "thing" she came here for. "I'm dumb... Why am I even doing this?" A decision has been made. The last thing to do was to leave a quick goodbye letter on the table. Because Kathleen forgot her pencil, it got complicated. She almost ran into a police guard, but luckily, thanks to her small height, she managed to slip through. Everything was by the numbers now. She laid the letter on a glass table staying in front of a big television made in Kusari. The whole house has changed a lot. Last time Kathleen visited it she was just 17. Those are 10 years since she was there the last time. "Goodbye" - That was the last Kathleen's word she said to her parents. "Yawn!" Her dad woke up in the morning. He walked around the house, noticed the letter and red it. He looked very upset, so was Kathleen's mother after reading it. Time passes quicky, eventually everyone will deal with stressfull situations. One day, Kathleen will forget about the incident. However, she will never forget her loving parents. |
