Had the questionable pleasure to engage in a rather unwanted conversation with who appear to be your subordinates during your assault against the Republic's installation in Coronado. Saw both your colours pass by one time or an other. What's up with you people, fight the Crown or are you more focussed on your own benefits? I can't quite put you on the list. What's you want to achieve, what you risk the lives of your soldiers for? And let me know should you want us to chemically sanitize your installations or if you prefer to work something out here that might spare you people from suffocating.

Greetings Ms. Laroux...

I've been assigned to respond to your transmission... in short the Legion is not very bothered... nor does it care... especially when it's threatened by people who can't even reinforce those threats...

We shoot that which gets in our way... will you be getting in our way too..?

En servicio de Malta,
Teniente, V. Santos.

Good evening, Signora.

The National Council extends its regards to you. Indeed, a significant part of the Outcast forces have been engaged fairly recently in clashes within the Coronado system. Intent was to abolish two installations that proved suitable targets and belonged to the nefarious Crayterian Republic. These savage people, proporting to liberate the Taus from the Gallic crown, have too long gone unchecked and were remanded to their place that day. They proport to fight the Gallic Crown, but all we ever see is pathetic writing under the bootheels of the Gallic Royal Navy's superior forces. It is truly a shame that they appear to want to antagonize Malta and her people, as we could use their ships to play decoy while Malta fends off the aggressors of the Crown in Omicron Tau and Tau-23. Some savages cannot be civilized, however, and so it remains a sorry testament to their incompetence that they will succumb to their own idiocy. Maybe the offered chemical sanitation would not go amiss for the Crayterian headquarters.

A good day, Signora.

Contradicting answers, that's interesting. I get the impression one of you is the other's dog, I'll decide at a later point on who's who. This however complicates dealing with you. I'll refrain from seeing you as one should you really prove to act independently each.

Vergil Santos
You wish to witness the Maquis massacre you people so you can take us seriously. Your wish is granted. Expect a gift from us coming your way.

Marietta Mercante
It appears that you're the one with a shred of intellect. I'm eager to hear what reason you provide why two forces, obviously both in opposition to the Monarchy's oppression, believe their resources are better invested in fighting the other than combining efforts to repell the Crown. Looks like a common attitude in Sirius but I imagine you've yet to realize the position you're in with the Royals knocking down your doors. Enlighten me what benefit I gain from forcing down a possible contributor to our fight and don't hesitate explaining what you've to offer in return for the Maquis rerouting the toxins.

Signora Laroux,

you may believe us if we tell you that the Nation has extended prodigious amounts of olive branches to the Crayterians over a long time, though it appears that our efforts to reason with a barbaric and evidently more than just mentally challenged people are quiet in vain. Do not believe that you will ever find something more profound in a Crayterian than a few quick insults and a charge of plasma headed your way, because these animals are not capable of doing more. It is truly a pity. As long as they fight our common enemy, the Crown, we tend to let them be, but if they infringe upon our operations in Liberty and the Taus, we have to get rid of them. As it stands, Cardamine is one of our most effective weapons when fighting the crown, as it undermines the very foundation of their support: Their people. Therefore, it is a weapon also for those other groups that oppose the Crown, like the Brigands. You are free to make of that what you want. Adversaries of the Crown stand to gain much by coordinating with us.

The Maquis will not stand and watch how a drug is going to replace the Crown's oppression and pushes our people into yet another dependency. The Brigands, by your word obviously working on that already, can feel assured to get a visit from Maquisards in due time. We catch your convoys headed to Gallic territory and we'll leave no survivors.

Marietta Mercante
Stand down on the dispersion of your drug in my territory and we may still get along. Let me hear what you've to offer.

We are afraid these conditions are insufficient.

The Cardamine trade has suffered from the meddling. The interference with yet another nuiscance that is only part of an old theat is hardly a reason to close down an entire market. As such, we will need to decline your offer until a better one is made. However, you are free to petition the Council for a lucrative engagement in furthering the Cardamine market in Gallia at any point and become just as enlightened as the Brigands are.

Cordially,
M. Mercante
