Hi,
Does anyone knows if it is possible to do mining with a non mining ship, for example, with a heavy fighter ship?

No, it's not. You'd be only getting 1 unit of or per shot.
To be able to mine you need a appropriate mining ship, faction IFF and mining lasers combo.

Than again, you'll be better off with a surveor or - if you want to haul the ore too - hegemon.

i made it in passed, i confirm, it's very long! but when you don't know again how work the mining, you are happy when your cargo is full, more with the money idea, plenty of millions

Right on folks, I've tried and it is no so bad.
To be broken is worse.
