Soma.

Our beloved Arbeitsdirektor has a task for you and your division once again, one entirely worthy of your guile.

Full details will be uploaded to the GEIST intranet soon enough, but the small details will remain un-nuanced.

I suspect you are aware of the Zoner organisation known as the Ingennus Research Group? A collection of edge world deviants of little pertinence to our foreign policy or our polity. They are an unknown, and, as such, are to be feared - to be repulsed. We need no witch doctors salting the stew of our futures.

It appears that their miscreant mindbending has turned from blossom to fruit. They are presently in production of a device known, according to Ingennus's unctuous representation of their own brand, as the Ingennus Power Cell. The market material claims that the device is an unprecedented mass leader in compact power supplies - I say compact with derision - the unit is the size of a significant cargo manifest. Notwithstanding, if it comes anywhere near to its claimed abilities , it may solve the power crises presently plaguing Pacifica's nanolathe. The demand for war machines has risen four hundred percent with the commencement of the Hessian's treason - if we are to keep the Hunnic hordes at batted back into the Omegas, we are in need of suitable countermeasures.

Of course, we doubt Ingennus will simply roll over an relinquish a cell for credits, if they knew the device was intended to facilitate ordinance manufacture, for an organisation notorious for its banditry. I would have assigned one of the slightly less brainless Wedel cells to sic a bomber squadron on the next Ingennus vessel to breeze through the borderworlds of the Rhein, but the largely unknown risk of antagonising their Zoner compadres render the prospect entirely unappetising. Therefore, VonHimmel, at my behest, is burdening the task on you.

Our intranet coffers and no less than two fighter wings of the Wedel cell are at your disposal, Procurator. How you choose to handle this delicate matter is up to you, of course. You could hire mercenaries to hunt the cell down - I hear the Reavers are quite invaluable - or, if you choose the path of sanctity, hire a third party buyer. Whatever you so decide, you'd do well to do so expediently. If you do indulge in violence, I have detailed Gunda's flight wing to your aid. I am sure you're familiar with them?

Remember, I have ensured that this matter is entirely your own. If you fail, there will be no subordinates to defer the firing squad to. This is why I am not undertaking the task myself, you understand, and have let it quietly drift up the chain of command till it alighted in your lap.

Procurator Soma.

The Arbeitsdirektor demands a status update as to the current status of your operation to retrieve the Ingennus power cell. Are you in need of assistance? Your reports have been minimal of late - most concerning to the Arbeiter’s council.

Apart from your present operational status, there is another issue which has been rearing its head of late. The Koeln cell has been in need of a new representative for a considerable time now - and, barring a suitable candidate being readily available amongst the old guard, we view operative Mary Annalise Dross as well-attuned to the role.

Which brings us to our second point.

Pilots operating within the Hamburg and Koeln area have made mission reports of a somewhat…. bizarre… nature, of late. Conventionally, we would disregard the hallucinations of individual Arbeiters, however, double-digit operatives are reporting loosely the same phenomena, causing a notable sap on morale. Whilst I do not read any true credibility into their reports, it would be worth investigating the particulate clouds within Hamburg and Koeln for any verification of their reports. Whilst testimonies vary, they all include reports of a large, extensively long object, potentially man-made yet of no discernible design commonalities to any conventional ship. Most bizarrely, is the description of the object’s prow - it is shaped, peculiarly, as a sword.

Obviously you should not assign operational priorities to a coven of madmen, and I strongly suspect that the true story here is the illicit presence of cardamine consumption amidst flight operatives. Whatever the case, you will both treat this manner with jurisprudence, with the aim of its quick resolution. It is beginning to impact the flight performance of Geschwader one; Riehl has taken note.

I am not Van Helsing. We deal with corporeal, not paranormal, monsters.

Resolve this quickly, Procurator.

Herr Jansen.

I apologize for the delay of my reply, but I was busy getting everything in place to acquire the Ingenuus power cell.
My team is currently split up between observing both the logistics division of the Ingenuus research group, as well as observing the buyer of the desired item. A buyer waiting to receive a power cell has contacted the “Schmitz & Söhne Sicherheitstransporte GmbH” to take possession of the item and deliver it to a storage unit, where the cell is supposed to stay until used.
My team has since acquired Schmitz & Söhne uniforms, as well as a transport with their corporate print on it. We re-scheduled the delivery of the power cell in the database of Schmitz & Söhne, so that we can acquire it a few hours before the actual transport team arrives.
We also prepared a Zoner transport that will deliver a replica of the powercell made after blueprints acquired from Ingenuus that describe the shipping packaging of the cell, along with the precise dimensions of the actual cell. The team will deliver the replica to Schmitz & Söhne to transport to the storage unit prepared by the buyer.
Until it’s time for the actual delivery, I will accompany a small team heading to the particulate clouds within Hamburg and Köln to look into the recent sightings of this strange object.

I will report back in as soon as the delivery has taken place and/or if there are any news concerning the strange sightings.

Regards,
Gerd Hadenschwalner.
