A New Home || Open to all Forlorn, Invite Only Otherwise - Forlorn Hope Command - 04-13-2017
The approach to Glendalough Orbital is picturesque, with the station suspended between the two hellscape planets of Socorro and Oraibi and back-lit by Salina, the gas giant they all orbit. Making your docking run to Glendalough, you pass through the water heavy rings of Salina, the light reflecting of the frozen crystals and sending constellations of color across your vision. Breaking through the enchanting sight, you near Glendalough, it's hanger bays slowly opening to welcome you to the safety it offers. Touching down and turning off your ship, you are greeted by the sight of several Combat Droids approaching your ship, the leading unit hold up a hand. "Identification" It drones at you, while the others stand at the ready nearby. After a moment, it verifies your ID, and motions to a door on the far side of the hanger."Through that door and down the corridor is the Common Areas, please do not stray outside of your designated areas as approved by your ID, lethal force is authorized should you not comply with this directive." The droid intones before it moves off with its companions, assuming defensive positions around the hanger. The station is large enough to house the entirety of the Forlorn Hope mercenary company comfortably, with space left over for common areas and spots open to those without full access to the base. Security is heavy for these reasons, and Combat Droids are a common sight, patrolling and guarding the hall ways and spaces of the Orbital. Passing a large holographic sign on the wall, you notice it lists off directions and information about the areas of the station. Common Areas 96 Slide: A holdover from the previous ownership, the 96 Slide is a bar run by Alec MacMurdoch. A common meeting ground for the knights and inhabitants of the station, all are welcome here, provided the Forlorn allow you to dock at the station. Vesa Market: A remnant from the initial founders of Glendalough, the Forlorn Hope have reopened the Vesa Market, allowing small stalls to be procured and operated within its bounds. A few stalls have already opened and individual merchants can be found selling wares from the station, provided that they meet both Forlorn and Crayterian Law. Prometheus Housing Block B: A new addition to the stations common rooms, the Prometheus housing block offers affordable housing for rent. While Block A and C are used by the Forlorn member and employees, Block B has been opened to public use, provided you can afford the rental fees. Each apartment comes fully equipped with everything needed to live comfortably in the space age. Restricted Access Medbay: The medbay is an important facility on any base, perhaps more so on a mercenary base. Equipped with the best technology that money can buy, and staffed by Dr. Julia Ward and her excellent team, you'll find yourself in good hands should the dangers of space get to you. Training Facilities: A set of VR rooms and training facilities are used by the Forlorn Hope to train their new members and marines, and maintain peak levels of fitness. The VR rooms can be used for a wide variety of training purposes. Forlorn Hope Access Only Glendalough Command: The heart and mind of all operations and actions concerning Glendalough Orbital, this particular room is accessible only by the Knight Captains and those invited by them. A full systems and hardware upgrade has been undertaken since the acquisition of the station, and the Command Centier is fully equipped to handle multiple wings of ships, logistics arrays, and more with ease. Maintenance and Engineering: Off limits to even most members of the Forlorn Hope, this wing of the station is responsible for keeping our combat droids up and running, as well as for designing and producing our newest toys for use in the field. Research Wing: The research wing is where our white-coats are hard at work to deliver the advantage to the Forlorn in every possible way, whether it be defensive, offensive or civilian in nature. As with the Engineering wing, this area requires a high level of security clearance to access. RE: A new home - Nick Stenn - 04-13-2017 Hanger Bay 1, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Stepping out of his Bayonet, Nick scans the hanger bay. Waving away the approaching security droids, he nods, satisfied with the condition of the hanger, and making after seeing the technicians heading towards his ship, begins to make his way to the Command Center. There is still much to be done today. Command Center, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Passing through the security checkpoints fairly quickly due to his status as Knight Captain, Nick reaches the Command Center soon enough, and claiming an open seat in the deserted room, quickly calls up several protocols and functions. Assessing them for a moment, he closes them, satisfied with their readings. Taking a deep breathe, Nick calls up the Forlorn Hope general communication channels, and keying in a password, sets it to send a message to all the Knight Captains and Knights of the group. This is Knight Captain Stenn, transmitting from Command in Glendalough Orbital. Due to an unexpected turn of events, I require all assets to sign in, and those who are not immediately busy with priority projects to report to Glendalough. We have several matters of importance to discuss, as a group. That will be all. Report to your assigned housing in residential block A until all members are accounted for." Signing off the transmission and sending it, Nick relaxes into his chair, allowing himself a moment of rest before pulling up the Project Logs on the Haven again. After a few moments, he closes the log, checks to see if the Crayterians have responded to the earlier message sent to them yet, before leaving the Command Center and heading for the sweet embrace of his own bunk in block A. RE: A New Home || Open to all Forlorn, Invite Only Otherwise - Byron - 04-13-2017 Hangar Bay 4, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado With an energetic jump Elena hopped out of her Sabre, quickly scanning the area. The hangar didn't seem very busy at the moment, with only a few freighter vessels docking off preparing for take-off. As she was quite in a hurry - after all, Nick had spoken about "several matters of importance" -, she quickly made her way to the exit, leading to a complex network of corridores, floors and halls. Elena still wasn't quite used to it, and still had to look at her display a lot to find the right way to the residential block she was aiming for. Finally though, she reached it, and after that, it was an easy task to find her own appartment. Elena's appartment, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Quickly opening the door to her housing, she stepped in and immediately aimed for the extra huge and cozy couch she had ordered for her room, sinking onto it and letting a sigh of happiness and satisfaction out. Elena would glance into mirror for a few moments, checking whether everything was looking okayish, before deciding to answer Nick's call: "Hey, it's me, Elena. Just wanted to tell you I've already arrived at my appartment, and would theoretically be ready for any kind of meeting you thought of. Await me in the briefing room in a few minutes. That's it. Out." Sighing a little bit, as she would have most likely stayed here for the rest of the day, she gave herself a few more minutes of relaxing before she'd finally stand up again, fix her hair quickly and walk out into the corridor again, in the same hurry as before.. RE: A New Home || Open to all Forlorn, Invite Only Otherwise - KamiFaby - 04-13-2017 Hangar Bay 2, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado The cockpit of the "Heliaca", a Sutinga, opened and Sarah casually left the fighter. Stretching she looked around and searched for an exit. Besides her ship the hangar was empty. After she saw the exit she left the hangar and made her way to her very own apartment. Sarah's apartment, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Arriving at her apartment, she sent Nick a message. "Hey Nick, I'm here now. What's next?". She put her datapad aside and jumped on the bed. Sarah immediately liked her apartment they had really done an amazing job furnishing the apartment. While waiting for answer, she looked around the apartment and stopped in front of the fridge. "Hey, they even left a bottle of whiskey in my fridge." The instant she closed the fridge she heard a sound from her datapad. RE: A New Home || Open to all Forlorn, Invite Only Otherwise - HanCloudstone - 04-14-2017 Mooring 1, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Silent noize of repressurizing, humming of the doors, clicks of Ageira-produced IEVA suit's helmet (of course, marked with the Gadsden flag), Isaiah's own whistling of "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Barely paying attention to the droids greeting him in their usual fashion, he waits for the ID scan and immediately heads to the barracks, holding to his cutlass's scabbard. Ingram's apartment, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Isaiah enered his apartment and took some time to change clothes to a thoroughly old-fashioned suit of military uniform. A replica of United States Marine Corps officer's, to be precise, from the time period of the American Civil War. Something he couldn't wear while on board of his vessel because he feared the sudden breaches that could very well happen during intense space fights. Breaches that actually happened and made his heart skip a couple of beats each time. After he had taken a small can of fruits out of the fridge and set it on a small table, he sent a video message to his superior. Standing at attention in front of a wall, he gave the proper salute and said: "Knight Captain Stenn, this is Knight Ingram reporting. Present and waiting for orders, sir." As the video feed cut off, young man proceeded to take care of the meal. He was quite sure that the Forlorn's reunion could take a while. Of course, he knows that the atmosphere in this group is somewhat too relaxed for such mannerisms. Of course, they won't even mind if Isaiah will act like he is in a company of friends. However, it might be just the way for them to be able to notice the uncanny similarity with a certain person they know. RE: A New Home || Open to all Forlorn, Invite Only Otherwise - Gen - 04-16-2017 96 Slide, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Troy was reading through the neural net, leaning over his PDA while the new directives made it beep with a voice message. He took a sip from his beer before getting up from his stool, taking the beer with himself. He threw a couple credit chits to the bartender and said, "See ya soon, pal. Something came up." He took his time on the way, taking swigs as he walked. There wasn't much to do back in his apartment anyway. It was quite lonely lately. Troy's apartment, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado "Oy, boss," he recorded his own message with the tap of a button on his PDA, "standing by." He slumped on his bed, put the PDA on a stand next to him, crossed his arms behind his head and watched the ceiling where a lazily rotating fan was occupying. He was full of thoughts that day. Conference Room, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado Entering the conference room, Nick keys the button that sends a message to the Knights currently on station. They would all receive a notification to inform them that they could come to the conference room now, and that the topic discussed would be the business with the Crayterians, the Sol project, and other assorted agendas around the future of the company. Taking a seat in the room, Nick would wait for the members of the Forlorn Hope to begin arriving, with one holographic display already showcasing the accord between the company and the Sol project, and a second display showing planet Yuma and the Crayterian Republic symbol hovering over it. Talking to himself, Nick began contemplating the decisions that were sure to be made in the coming hours."I wonder what new insights the Knights will share and how it will affect the Forlorn Hope." Leaning back in the chair, Nick smiles to himself, before turning to the door that had just opened. RE: A New Home || Open to all Forlorn, Invite Only Otherwise - Byron - 05-28-2017 Conference Room, Glendalough Orbital, Coronado As the door slid open, Elena would enter the fancy conference room in big strides. For a second, she would let her gaze wander around the various switched on displays at the wall, showing either faction's emblems or a variety of bar charts, showing recently made studies. It quickly became obvious to her that on today's agenda was on the one hand the newly struck deal with the Sol Project as well as relations to the Crayterians, however she also knew of a few other things that she'd like to mention during this meeting. Giving Nick an acknowledging nod, she'd sit down opposite to him on one of the free chairs of the table. "Hey there Nick", she said, giving him a friendly smile. "It's been some time since I've seen all of us together in one place, don't you think? Let's see how this works out." With a brief grin appearing on her face, she quickly adjusted the deep blue blazer she was wearing above her most usual top, however the rest of her clothes weren't as formal, jeans and sneakers. Tapping onto the table with her fingers, she took another rather superficial look at the diagrams, hoping the others would be punctual. Not that spending time with Nick alone wasn't a pleasure too, but she had the slight feeling he didn't necessarilly want to smalltalk now, and rather start talking about business. Hence, she just leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms, looked around, maybe eyed Nick once or twice, but else stayed more or less silent. |
