Omicron Operations journal - Norael - 04-26-2017

Entered system identified as Omicron Xi after passing quietly through Munich. Heavy Corsair activity with the odd Outcast fighter wing. Three planetary masses, one orbited by a station, one orbited by two moon-sized masses. Major sensor malfunctions upon entering nebula surrounding third planetary mass, identified as YK-087. Severe radiation quickly chewed through an Avenger fighters hull. Nearing the planet resulted an aggressive response from unidentified ships blending in with the nebula. Scans inconclusive due to cloud, and hostiles ceased pursuit upon exiting the Nebula.

But I know a Nomad when I see one.

Proceeding to Omicron Gamma, known Corsair home-system, then further into the Omicrons from there. Need to stop at a Zoner station for moderate repairs.

Began survey of the Omicron Delta system, starting with the Palau Ice Cloud, as most of the locals spoke about the Nomad presence in the area fairly openly. Entered the cloud in navmap sector D3. Almost immediately came under fire.
Approached source of incoming fire, and was deshielded by its weaponry in an instant, and swarmed with a dozen Nomad craft. Captured a passing image from my cockpit as I fled. Do not recommend approaching without heavier craft capable of shrugging off the structures firepower. Continued deeper into the Palau Ice Cloud.
Despite the interference, scanners picked up a massive structure nearing. At first glance, it was simply a planetoid lost in the depths of the Omicrons. Simple inspection however revealed that it was not, with alien structures jutting from its central structure. Currently searching for any entry into the object. Comparably minimal Nomad presence.
