Hm, no good news.

First: I was shot up. Okay. Happens. But I learnt something... more than one thing actually.

Secondly, and more importantly:

<span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%]Reaver's Conduct in Tau 37

Alright, I assume Reavers are somehow on our paycheck. Okay. I also know they do not shoot Outcasts. I also know they shoot the Colonials. They shoot Renegades. So this happened:

IMG| and Colonials hunt for a Renegade. Rorry jumps to Alpha. Two Reavers follow. Nothing happens, we stay at the Freeport.

Rorry's gang, some Outcast MNS-Warship and gunboat appears at the Alpha hole. Reavers standing by. No Colonials were with us at the time. We expected the Reavers to attack the Renegades, which did not happen.

IMG| retreated towards the T23 hole, to draw the enemy from the very dangerous Alpha region. We managed, as they followed.

IMG| and ICMG forces, and later one Colonial pilot engaged the Renegade and Outcast group that consisted of gunboats mainly, no HMS warship any more at that time.

The Reavers stayed out, looming very close, but not entering on any side.

[color=#FFCCCC]In a tense fight, we took Rorry almost out, he had 1 % hull left... and then the Reaver fired one shot and claimed the kill. Or, I am rather sure Amethyst will claim the kill on our board.

Let me clarify that: IMG| and ICMG bombers were fighting against very dangerous gunboats that destroy our bombers in one good hit. No helping hand from the Reavers, even though we have a crampsload of cash on the butts of these Renegades.

But then they jump in, at the right time... to cash in on the juicy targets that we softened up in a hard fight? I frying say "No!". I lost my ship in that chase, in the last seconds of Rorry's ship's fight for life... just for some Merc who was too fine to get his hands dirty to collect? No frying way.

Summing it up: I am not pleased with what I saw. I know Mercs are unscrupulous. But we don't have to accept this. I contest any possible kill claim of Rorry, dated 18.10. at about 20:30 and claim it for IMG and ICMG. The Reaver involvement was not worth noticing.

I request the bounty board manager not to hand out a single credit but tell them where the line is. I am not getting (ab)used by a bunch of mercs.

Hiya folks, making a report since its been a while since my last one. Anyways, I'll get right to it, I started my patrol of Omega 3 and Omega 7, basing out of Aland shipyard this time in my trusty Nyx, before long I was contacted by a convoy of three IMG| transports with a Zoner tagging along for the ride. The convoy leader contacted me and requested an update on Omega 7 after I stated that I was starting my patrol of Omega 3 and 7.

I obliged and checked Omega 7, finding nothing out of the ordinary, some of the usual Hessian and Corsair rookie patrols. Nothing out of the ordinary. Omega-7 was quite sparse really in terms of shipping. After having checked the trade lanes and the stations in Omega-7 I reported the status of the system to the convoy.

Noting that there wasn'€™t any pirates around, I offered my services as an escort to the convoy, who accepted. The convoy was still in Berlin at the time, and they suffered a mishap in that the Berlin gate apparently malfunctioned, they were repeated delayed and had to find the jump hole to the Stuttgart system. Even more misfortune in the form of a systems failure in one of the IMG transports forced that transport to land. With all the mishaps that happened the convoy decided to stay at Freidstat. Thus ending my escort before it could really begin.

After this, there wasn'€™t really anything else, well, there was a Steel Worker flagged junker going around being a nuisance, but since the indies naturally congregated together the junker was unable to cause much trouble.

Well, that'€™s all for now, I need to go get something to drink, I'€™ll see you folks later.

Hello Guild Masters,

I see my papers on Bio-mining technology, and Increasing Mining Laser Efficiency must have caught your eyes!
I will be pleased to accept the position you have offered me to lead an expedition to the omicrons, to discover new opportunities for the Guild, and to aquire/develop new technologies the guild can use.

I have travelled to Battleship Hood where I will begin assembling my team and gathering supplies.
I have taken the liberty of contacting Mallory and Lambert Logistics to requisition some of the supplies I cannot get from our normal suppliers. I trust funding will not be a problem due to the importance of this mission.

I will also be getting in touch with a Junker contact of mine to aquire some of the....less than legal items I need for my preliminary research. Again I trust funding will not be a problem.

Once my team is assembled, I will introduce them to you, so you can do any background checks you need to do, but I assure you if they arent qualified I wont select them.

I will not take up any more of your time until I have assembled my team.

I look forward to providing the Guild with what it needs to continue to profit into the forseeable future!

Hello, this is Capt. Richard Morgan of the IMG|Darkstar. As you might know the capt. of the IMG|Dry.Run has had the Erie fever as a child and cannot sustain high accelerations. The taus have become a far more dangerous place as of late and we must bring all our available hardware to bare. I have extensive experience commanding a full crew with both the IMG and BAF and have a long list of accomplishments within the guild framework. I have assisted in the take-down of multiple outcast and corsair capital class warships and killed many sairs and outcasts in single fighter combat.

This crew needs direction and leadership and most of all we need that ship back on the front lines; if you accept my request I will have the ship rechristened the IMG|Red.Dust in order to not walk on the legacy of her last capt.

Thank you for you time.

Richard Morgan

Hard to believe, we won this Tau fight! But we did. After more than 2 hours.

The fight started in Tau 37, but when I arrived, our forces were already retreating to Tau 23, pressured by Sabre fighters and 4 Dreadnoughts that were closing in.

In Tau 23 a long fight started, with waves of Sabres jumping in, hitting our bomber wings, until finally the Warships jumped in. They were obviously after [color=#FFCCCC]Triton, the Colonial Zephyr that is the first hero of the day. The Zephyr and the Fighter groups managed to take down some of the Sabres, but many just returned to the warships and came back fully armed. It seems hopeless, until the warships decided to go after Triton.

Triton's Commanders skillfully dragged the fight into Orkney, allowing bomber wings to close in, while evading the fighters. After some coordination, Triton drew the chasing Outcast warships into a bomber trap. In this trap, a bomber force and Triton managed to [color=#FFCCCC]destroy all 4 warships that had chosen to hunt down Triton.

The hunters became the hunted.

The second hero of the day is Lt. Curtis, who managed to destroy the two Sabre fighters that managed to follow the Dreadnoughts into Orkney. After they were taken out, the Warships were prey to the bombers' snac torpedos.

They fell to skillfull tactical maneuvering of Triton and massive bomber bombardement.

Enjoy. Now, I need to celebrate. My hands hurt, but holding a glass will be possible. If you want to come, Java. Deck 2. The Colonial boys are there, too! Will be a wild one, I guess. Great, I think we earned that.

Well, I seem to have quite forgotten my paperwork. Was a bit lazy, I guess, and since we started getting deliveries from the Mollies' distiling wonders in Java, I am too often in the bar, he he...

Anyway, I have been somewhat bussy in the fields lately. Indie ship captans are not so common as they used to be, but some come still. And Junkers are quite often guests at Java too, especialy some .:J:. fellas - the... ah... what's'is name.... and he had a partner...Damn, I have to cut off the single malt...

Anyway, people are again comin' for niobium, but the prices are down. I hear the same from Vernon in Dublin. FTU is killin' our profit, and then some. I am hard pressed to work for 3000 SC a piece on the niobium ore - traders are declinin' higher prices. Hard to blame them - routes are dangerous, and if someone offers lower price, that's where they'll go.

Ah, I got it - the Stooge.Cake was one of the Junkers, and the other lad had s strange name too... My best customers, to be sure. Haulin' a lot, and to Rheinland too, no Gallia for them. 3000 is nor the price from the good days, but the lads come often - I like repeat customers - and the fields are good to us these days.

There seems to be new non-union IMG members around too - miners and haulers. I filled one today - on an armorless crane "East.Seventeen" /people and their ship names.../. Couldn't take 'im for more than 3000 - the lad was too likely to lose the cargo to pirates or the never enough damned Wilde in the Sigmas, no armor and all. He did ask for me to escort 'im, but then I was bussy for like a minute and he disapeared on me. Ah, safe skies to him and may Ifni watch over the lad.

There's this other lad - Han.Solo's his ship - that used to come too. Last I saw 'im he was too much in play with the BMM types, so be aware - he might not be a good customer now.

And that's all for now. I am off.

Dear Dr.Lynchpin,

I hope you remember our private talk on the matter of my cousin Natalia and her doctorate in Xenobiology. After that meeting I took the liberty to contact Natalia and hint of an opportunity for a job with IMG R&D.
It so happens that she has no work related attachments at the moment, and she was hapily surprised by my news.

She also happens to have heard of you and your work on involving microorganisms in mining operations or somthing like that /I am no scientist - didn't get a word of WHAT she was saying/ and was very impressed by the opportunity to work for you /I did get HOW she said it though - all sparkling eyes and barely restrained energy - she wants to work for you, believe me , Doc /.

I took an old Spatial from Jakarta storage, we gave it a good overhaul with my brothers and sent it to her on Planet Cambridge. She should have received it couple of days ago and either be on her way to Hood in Dublin or already arrived. She'll be staying there with couz' Horatio and waiting for you to meet with her and say your word.

We all Vales are very proud of our Natalia and really hope you'll like her and hire her. Just in case you do, we - the Vale clan members working for IMG - got together and prepared a present for IMG R&D and your future field work. Here she is:

We love our little girl a lot and want her to have the best scientific toys available. Our present lacks the standart luxuries of her type, but the engine, hull, weaponry and all other equipment are in pristine condition. We managed to get on her capital Mk4 armor for the deep space work.

The present does not have a name yet. We decided it is not our bussines to christen her, as we are not the ones to work with her. That honor belongs to R&D.

Anyway, we really hope you and our Natalia get to work together and do great things for IMG and the human race.

Vale over 'n out

And we rolled again, today. We beat the Outcasts back from Tau 23 again, taking out a lot of ships! These are just the ones I screened with my guncam, there were up to 20 ships fighting, we were sometimes outnumbered, sometimes outnumbering them. It was chaos... and: we did it.

This time we made sure to control the beginning of the fight by invading Tau 37 in chase of some of Rorry's Mercs. They ran to Alpha and - as planned - alerted the swarm. They came and we retreated to the Tau 23 gate. We jumped into Tau 23, sadly already under fire, losing some IMG| vessels, also some others.

In Tau 23, already a large fleet was stationed, ready to strike at the Outcasts. A fierce battle commenced, when as a first wave a lot of gunboats jumped in.

Unaware of our bomber strike wings that were already waiting, they engaged and were torn to bits in virtually the bloodiest 15 minutes that I have seen in the Taus. I counted 6 gunboats going down, I am not sure, though of the exact number. Here are the killcams that I could record:

Then the Capital vessels jumped in and there were a lot. In the middle of it, there were more than 5 Outcast warships operating in Tau 23, protected by Sabre class fighters. As the fighting was drawn into several places, the fighters had a hard time keeping track of the bombers that disengaged and apporached targets that were alone. The Outcast regrouped, and attacked again, but were forced to reatreat again.

In a fierce fight, I think 4 capials went down at least because I screened them exploding. There could have been a fifth, but I don't know, as I had to rearm. Here are the cams:

Uhm...'Tag.
I have been flying a Charon lately, since I was looking for a faster and more agile fighter than the Nyx.
Just a heavy fighter...Turns out, that one doesn't suit me either. Feels a bit too slow and heavy.

When talking to some other piloten, I heard of the Karasu, the GMG heavy fighter, being very fast and
stunningly agile. I am pretty sure, if what I heard is true, it is what I am looking for.

Why am I contacting you about this? I want to ask for permission for sending a request for a Karasu to the
GMG. Oh, and I'd also be interested in some Magma Hammers from Liberty. Heard about the Liberty
Surplus Requisitioning Center - oh god, that's some name - eh,...heard they might sell them. Maybe. I'll
have to see if that works. I would like permission for that request, too.
Ja, I know, we shouldn't risk anything with Rheinland, but I think I will stay around the Taus for most of the
time anyway.

So, uhm, may I?
I will take care of everything about those requests myself, of course.

Anyway, looking forward to your reply. Guten Tag.
