Hi folks
I have a few friends joining the game and was wondering about clans/groups. If you make a clan/group do you have to declare it in the forum? and do it have to be classed as a faction in the forum? thanks for the help.

to make it official, yes, but you start out as an un official faction under the unofficial faction section, but if you just intend to play by your selves in game as un official, I dont see why you need to declare it. It would help you out if you did though.
EDIT:
It will give people a sense of who you are and what you do, also will allow people to send you contracts if there is a need for such a thing, like Bounty Hunters or Cargo Haulers or Miners, whatever it is you'll be doing.

Unless you're aiming for officialdom, you don't need to post anything about it on forums. However, keep in mind this is a roleplay server, so please don't roam around with nonRP tags in names and don't roam around ignoring the roleplay setting.

Can't add much to what those two said. Except that you guys might want to check out some existing groups if any strike your fancy.
