To the honorary royal forces of the gallic royal navy.I salute you for your duty. My client who was recently flying through gallic space and has complied will all gallic laws has been robbed in daylight by MRG forces, threatening to open fire and confiscate the cargo. The cargo consisted of 7X JH parts.

Let it be noted that this amount of parts will never be threatening to the gallic nation by any chance. My client always wishes the best for the gallic nation and for the king.

Offense No 1:
Threatening to destroy the ship for hauling "illegal cargo".

under gallic law 2.2 and 2.3, It is not specified that Jump hole generating parts are illegal. We do understand the concern here but it must be noted that there is no way with this amount of parts can be used to harm the gallic armada.

We will await further comments before proceeding.

Regards,
Alexis de Tocqueville.

Bonjour, Monsieur de Tocqueville.,

as the present commanding officer that executed the confiscation, I will reply to your concern. Be aware, that at no time, I threatened to open fire on the ship, the logs that have been provided as evidence prove me right, even if I would have, it is not an offense, I gave you the two sections of law that permitted me to confiscate the cargo. You seem to be aware of what those parts are capable of, therefore I cannot understand why you would not understand why we confiscated it, maintaining the rule in Gallia and being safe about what crosses our borders and what does not is essential, you attempted to bring highly dangerous technology into the royaume.

Claiming us to have robbed your client is a false statement disproven by the provided laws and evidence, the confiscation happened due to the concerning capability of destruction and suffering those parts can bring if gathered together, especially since there has been no request about it on our desks, if you want the cargo back, which is unlikely, you have to bring a better reason than pointing at us and claiming we have committed a crime.

The Kingdom of Gallia Wrote:1.1 Gallic officials have the power to:

Restrict access to secure areas.
Maintain the security of Gallia.
Deny or restrict entrance into Gallic space of non-Gallics and persons under suspicion of illegal activities.

1.2 Gallic officials can impose punishments and restrictions on pilots and organizations for violating Gallic laws or any actions that could be deemed illegal or harmful to the Crown or its interests, at the enforcing officer's discretion.

None of these laws can be applied to the cargo my client was carrying, AND YES you have commited a crime by not upholding and understanding the gallic laws properly. Gallic laws allow you to impose actions only under suspicion of illegal activities. My client didnt have enough amounts of parts in the first place to techincally commit a illegal activity , nor was it stated in the gallic laws that the cargo is banned from gallic space. So you cannot impose any sanctions nor accuse him for illegal activites.

Awaiting further comments.

Regards,
Alexis de Tocqueville.

Bonjour, Monsieur de Tocqueville.,

the fact that he was carrying seven commodities that are able to transport fleets of warships into any system are enough reason to suspect a criminal activity and confiscate the cargo, at least for so long until it has been settled, your disrespectful tone is not helping you getting it back, especially not if you direct us to a law section that has not yet been updated to the proper standards, using this to avoid the self-explanationary prohibition of this cargo is very poor, again, we have the right to confiscate anything as long as there is a reasonable suspicion that can cause a negative impact on the crown or Gallia itself, read the quoted laws again.

First, I would like to point out to the fact that i'm simply pointing out to the laws on which basis my client is protected. The other reason why i'm pointing out these laws are so that people like you can understand it better *he turns around and chuckles a bit*. Not that you dont understand them but i need to make them clear before i can proceed.

I've quoted you here,

I'm really sorry that my tone has been disrespectful, Secondy i didnt know that whether my innocent client gets the cargo he is moving legally depends on my tone, Thank you for stating that. I'll have to re-read the gallic law section again after this case to see if any law states wether my innocent client can be punished for the tone his lawyer used, even though technically the lawyer just stated out mere facts and pointed out the rules. It's my right to call you out, rule benders like you need to be severely punished .

My client is not responsible for the fact that the gallic law's have not been updated. I would like to state here that has read the gallic law that is available before entering gallic space, and its not his problem that the rules have not been updated.

Quote:"we have the right to confiscate anything as long as there is a reasonable suspicion that can cause a negative impact on the crown or Gallia itself, read the quoted laws again."

This is where you're absolutely wrong , Those parts were not going to harm the gallic crown or the royal forces in anyway. My client wanted to research the parts along with Gallic metal services and was hoping to help turn the war more in favor of the gallic nation. This was also stated in the audio logs.

We request you to hand over the parts back to our client, My client would also like MRG to be involved in the project actively if it wishes so.My client wants only what is best for the gallic nation. We would like to re-state the fact that out client has done nothing wrong and you're commiting a crime here. We also have a special request for you, If possible we would like you to take time out of your busy schedule stopping traders who have done nothing wrong but appear suspicious and put pressure on updating the current laws to suit your needs. We're saying this so you can keep working for the betterment of this nation.

Awaiting further comments .

Bonjour, Monsieur de Tocqueville.,

you demand me to do things I am not allowed to, I am not in charge of the law-section, therefore I cannot do anything about the current situation. You may say that you had the parts in favor of the royaume but how do we know this? If you would have requested them to be moved prior to moving them, this would look differently, you decided to sneak through it, though, therefore it is confiscated. Despite, since when is the Gallic Metal Service involved in researches and again, why does the crown not know about it? You don't make it better for yourselves to operate behind the curtain of the Roi. I cannot believe I have to bother the Grande Maréchale with this but I opened this comm for his access so he can have a look at the situation.

Time to start debunking,

Quote: I am not in charge of the law-section, therefore I cannot do anything about the current situation.

AND yet you bend the rules to suit you *cough*. I merely asked you to put pressure on updating current laws so they might make gallia a safer place.
*he turns around and whispers* also allow you to commit robbery while wearing and disrespecting the royal navy uniform.

Quote:You may say that you had the parts in favor of the royaume but how do we know this?

And how do you know that my client will use these products to harm the gallic nation ???? Are you directly assuming my client who is working for the prosperous kishiro technologies to be a terrorist ?. My client has cooperated with everyone of your demands and has handed over the goods. Unless you can see the future my client cannot be accused of anything.

Quote: If you would have requested them to be moved prior to moving them, this would look differently, you decided to sneak through it, though, therefore it is confiscated.

The law doesn't state neither MRG or GRN need to be informed about carrying perfectly legal material across the border. Do you expect my client to contact you over communication channels every time just because you think he is hauling illegal items ?. Its you who needs to be penalized for breaking the law. I need to also state the fact that my client was not sneaking anything through. You're just making these up to make my client look like a terrorist and you a Honorable person, The roles are actually in reverse here.

Quote: Despite, since when is the Gallic Metal Service involved in researches and again, why does the crown not know about it?

Let me state here that my client neither posses enough information about the parts nor much information about the capabilities of gallic metal services or other powerhouses inside the roi. All my client wanted was to gain more knowledge about these materials and since my client usually buys ores from Gallic metal services he thought it would be a good idea to ask them first. My client would've expected the Gallic Metal Services to brief him about this.

Quote:You don't make it better for yourselves to operate behind the curtain of the Roi.
Its you who is operating under the curtain of the roi trying to rob my client of this. You expect us notify everything my client does while passing through gallic borders or into gallia even when my client is hauling perfectly legal cargo. Don't try to circumvent the gallic laws to suit your needs.

Quote:I cannot believe I have to bother the Grande Maréchale with this but I opened this comm for his access so he can have a look at the situation.

We also cannot believe that you cannot understand how the law works and yet you call yourself a "Capitaine Florence Michaux". One can only wonder....

We would also like to clearly state that my client is perfectly Innocent. He's been disrespected, shamed ,accused and robbed and yet hes the one who is trying to defend his honor here.

Please stop claiming suspicious activity when you don't have enough evidence nor the law behind you.

Regards,

Alexis de Tocqueville

One last time,

I don't need perfect proof of someone planning to commit acts of terrorism, I am allowed to take away cargo or other from ships if there is a risk. Do you understand the difference? A risk was definitely there, with no doubt and you claim I robbed the trader, which is a disproven lie, you also call me a terrorist, which is a law violation concerning:

The Laws of Gallia Wrote:5.2 Insulting agents of the Crown will result in punishments ranging from a monetary fines to destruction of the offender's vessel if it is a repeat occurrence.

Your whole attempt to "debunk" the facts are just calling us out on not having proof of the suspect being a terrorist when you completely forget that we are allowed to act as soon as suspicion over acts that put Gallia and her people in danger is in effect, which clearly was the case here. Un Maréchale was kind enough to speak to your CEO already, who was able to behave in a more civil manner, I don't want to see another reply from you here concerning this, it is being discussed with the CEO, if you mistreat my words, I will impose consequences on you, merci.

Bonjour,

Maréchal Landreau speaking.

I would advise you to cease your hostilities. Capitaine Michaux did her job well and I am not going to change my mind at all. It's better to confiscate cargo such as Jump Hole generators and investigate everything about it than losing it to Brigands or Rebels. Nobody said we aren't going to return these parts in near future. However they won't be given back until I personally finish the investigation.

Gallic Metal Services has been notified and we are awaiting a statement of its representatives. Until then I advise you to shut your mouth otherwise I will have to note this behaviour of yours for next encounters.
