Comm ID: Karin Walker, callsign 'Dice' Encryption: Enabled Visual feed: Unavailable Location: Luxury Liner Hawaii, Sigma-19 Hello, Kiyoko. This message may come off as a surprise for you... but I'm in trouble and need your help. It has something to do with Mason Coleman and Kusari Naval Intelligence... I think I've made some enemies with them. I'm still a little dizzy, and my memories are a blur now, but I'll try to explain what happened. Mason and I were in space around the Hawaii, talking to a random freelancer that was passing by. She goes by the name of Heidi Wolff and flies a Camara freighter called "Druide". Then two ships arrived. One of the pilots introduced themselves as an operative of the Kusari Naval Intelligence. I can't say if it was true, the IFFs of the ships were messed up, but the vessel seemed to be Kusarian and military-grade. The other guy was using a Sunrider, I think, and was introduced to us as a mercenary working for the Naval Intelligence. Apparently, they were looking for Forlorn Hope pilots, and they wanted to have a word with Mason. I had a bad feeling about this from the beginning, but at that time it seemed like the matter would resolve itself... Yet it didn't. They accused the Forlorn Hope of assisting the Imperials and attacked Mason 'to send a message'... And I just sat there, terrified and unsure what to do. Heidi, that other freelancer I mentioned, had her own suspicions about those operatives. She got a few scans of the weaponry and equipment installed on their ships. That annoyed the Kusarians greatly, and they proceeded to engage Heidi as well... with the help of a Libertonian military fighter that showed up. I think it was a Guardian class, like the ones that the Liberty Navy are using. It all didn't make any sense. I was on edge already, and I couldn't stand and watch my friends getting shot at... so I just snapped. I don't remember much of what happened next, it was all like a blur. I went after the Libertonian vessel, trying to keep it off Heidi's Camara. Then Mason's ship got disabled, the Camara seemed to have taken heavy damage as well. I think I managed to disable that Guardian. My ship was damaged heavily, but I had no other option but to go up against the Sunrider; we exchanged some mines and antimatter... That's the last thing I remember before I woke up at the Hawaii's infirmary. Apparently, the rescue teams recovered my escape pod and what was left of my ship. Kiyoko... I just don't know what I should do now. I mean, should I expect more Kusari operatives coming after me? You're with the KNF, you probably have an idea who's on the wanted list... Right now I'm wondering whether I should just pack my things and run to the opposite corner of Sirius, hoping that things would get better there. But from my experience, they won't. I'm not even sure if you can or should help me... But I have nobody else to go to, and I really need some advice on what to do next. I'm attaching whatever logs we could retrieve from my ship and Mason's ship. These logs are by no means complete, and I don't have any guncam evidence left, but I hope this helps. This is deeply concerning and troubling. While we, the Naval Forces, had our doubts and speculations regarding the true nature of the Forlorn's relations with the Republic and the Imperials, we never ha any concrete evidence to judge them; even then, this approach isn't part of our operational protocols. I'm not sure about the alleged KNI agents that opened fire on Coleman, the freelancer and yourself; however, I can deduce some possibilities in that regard. Sit tight. I'm already on my way with a reliable individual of mine to Hawaii to pick you up. Karin, Trust no one, and stay within safety. It shouldn't take long for us to arrive there, I'll explain everything along the way. Hayashimura out. Regards,

I got things cleared up with the KNI, you're fine on their end. That said, I doubt you're going to be seeing the same group of ships you encountered in Sigma-19 again. Feel free to leave Baden Baden now, you should be safe. Anyhow, I'll be setting off for Kusari within the next few hours, I'm already quite late anyway. So don't expect to see me anytime soon - unless you pay Kusari a visit, and I won't be as helpful as I was once I'm back in service. Oh. And before you ask, you're better off not knowing who those people were. Good luck, Walker-san. Hayashimura out. Regards,

Comm ID: Karin Walker, callsign 'Dice' Encryption: Enabled Visual feed: Unavailable Location: Planet Baden Baden, Stuttgart Hello, Kiyoko. Words can't express how grateful I am for your help. Without knowing for sure whether or not the KNI were after me, I wouldn't have been able to fly around the Crow Nebula at all. I'll be off to other places in a few days as well, as long as those aren't the Omicrons. That being said, I'll probably come back to the Crow eventually. If I end up there, I'll be glad to meet up with you in Kusari, even if only to say "Thank you" in person. I owe you, and probably more than one. I talked to Elena about those scans from the encounter, and she might already have them. I asked her to send them over to you, just in case. And you're right, I'd rather not know what it's all about. The less I know, the better I'll sleep. Anyway, if you or the KNF ever need any help, you know how to reach me. That's the least I can do to return the favor. Comm ID: Karin Walker, callsign 'Dice' Encryption: Enabled Visual feed: Unavailable Location: Toshima, Planet New Tokyo Hello again, Kiyoko. Since we already met yesterday, you know that I ended up staying on New Tokyo. I just got myself a room at the hotel, and there wasn't time to do anything else yesterday, so I still have a fair share of exploring to do. Anyway, that's not why I'm calling you. Yesterday I told you about a ship full of artifacts flying through Honshu. It turns out I do have the evidence you might need, although it may be found... blurry. Guess I'll just transmit it to you and wait for what you have to say. I just hope it helps. Guncams: #1 TRANSMISSION TERMINATED |
