Subject: Alien abduction

Greetings, members of The Order

I'm Tara Williams, captain of vessels Tethys and Lemuria of The Seraphim. I wanted to inform you about strange encounter in Omicron Delta system. It is Bustard-class carrier, but strangely it emits strong readings similar to ones of Nomads. Someone talked to me from that ship, someone apparently human. He said that this ship once belonged to the Core under callsign APM-Klendathu, but was abducted by Nomads and the crew was under their control since then.

I open access to the report that I made for The Seraphim, it includes full transcript of the conversation. Someone have to help those people, even though they are from the Core. The Order knows more than anyone about Nomads. What is your assessment of the situation? The Seraphim is ready to provide medical help, supplies and logistics support to The Order in regards to this crisis. I'm eagerly awaiting for your response.

Meanwhile, I think it makes sense to warn those coming or leaving Freeport 11. This vessel roaming around is an unknown threat. Try to avoid direct contact until the situation is clarified.

With best regards,
Williams, Tara

Ms. Williams,

thank you very much for sharing this with the freeport. The security teams are informed now and will be prepared in case of that carrier showing up. The archives of Freeport 11 can confirm the Klendathu, whatever that ship name refers to, was indeed a ship used by the Core. Given the current circumstances, I advise everyone to be extremely careful. The Core is dangerous enough. Alien-abducted Core is even worse - if there is a difference.

Odd infestation

After consultation with Alexandria Research Institute, this would be the first case of Nomads utilizing human beings as... quite literal interface between the parasite and mechanisms of a starship. Our patrols since had not encountered Klendathu but rest assured, our pilots are under orders to eliminate any Core and Nomad threat, any unholy alliance of the two included. I know it propably may not be an answer you were looking for, but our scientists expect a grave error on Core's R&D to be underlining cause of this horror. If they are trully infested, there's little that can be done.

Any separation of parasite from the host that does not outright terminate the individual, leaves comatose remains with few mental faculties of original persona left. We are speaking about potentially paralyzed survivor with little to no contact with the outside world and/or intellect reduced to mere animal at best. There is no help to them, save a precise bullet in the frontal cranium. Nomad control over hosts body is nearly complete, having full reign over movement and memories of afflicted's mind.

Grand Admiral,

I appreciate your reply and your personal attention to this matter.

I'm really sorry for those poor souls abroad of former Klendathu, but I can understand your point and have complete trust in your judgement. I will immediately inform you about any further sightings of that vessel and contacts with its crew.

With best regards,
Williams, Tara
