Sender identifies themselves as: Frank Macfarlane "Mac" Burnet
Subject: Liberty Navy Primary Fleet Recruitment
Message Target: Liberty Navy Primary Fleet Recruitment Office

Message follows...

Biography:

Born in 788 A.S, Burnet was born on Manhattan, New York; his father, Frank Burnet Snr., a Bretonian emigrant to Liberty, was the manager of the Manhattan branch of the Colonial Bank. His mother Hadassah Burnet (née Mackay) was the daughter of a middle-class Bretonian immigrant, and met Frank Snr. when he was working on Trenton Outpost in the Colonial Branch office. Frank Macfarlane Burnet was the second of seven children and from childhood was known as "Mac". He has an older sister, two younger sisters and three younger brothers. The eldest daughter, Doris, has a mental disability that consumed most of Hadassah's time and the family saw Doris's condition as an unspoken stigma, discouraging the other children from inviting friends home. Because of this, Mac enjoyed his early years exploring the environment around him, particularly the creek near his house. He first attended a private school run by a single teacher before starting at the government primary school at the age of 7. Mac was distant from his father—who liked to spend his free time fishing and playing golf—from a young age.

After his schooling, Mac graduated from The University of Manhattan with a Batchelor of Science. His work was based around conducting scientific research for the Liberty Government based on Willard Research Station. From his time on Willard, Mac longed to be flying through space like the Liberty fighters he saw constantly around Willard Research Station, and decided that he would purchase his own ship, a surplus Liberty Navy Defender. After 10 years flying his Defender, he longed for more action in his life. Remembering back to the times as a child that he explored the area around his parents house on Manhattan and following the creek near his house all the way up to the spring in the mountains, Mac decided that he should consider joining the Navy, and now here he is. Mac is currently 6 foot tall, weighs 95 Kilograms, and can be reached via SKYP-3 protocol at ejthirteenthirtyseven.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
History:
Aria Coburn was born on the mining planet of Pittsburgh to Parents Nancy and Steven Coburn, growing up in the family business of mining as everyone else did on Pittsburgh. She learned fast living on such a harsh environment that life was often unfair and unkind.
At the age of 14 the learned how to use the smaller mining ships to mine ore out of the various rocks and transport the ore into the nearby transports to take to processing. In the same ships she used to mine she would escort the transports back to the docking ports when the days were completed.. of course her older brother Adrian was in the cockpit with her in the second seat to be sure she could handle the controls properly.
Continued mining till her 23rd birthday, after her mothers death she decided that she didn't want to just live life shooting rocks in space.. the miners agreed to let her use one of the civilian fighters to escort the transports around Liberty space. After several months of doing this she quite enjoyed the feeling of making people safe and actually keeping them safe from pirates and other sorts. If she could do this for a few simple mining transports then joining the Navy could only bring more of that.. to others across liberty.. from the miners, the freelancers wandering around or even the odd politician, she wanted to be apart of something big.. something where she could make a difference.. something.. more then just being the mining girl.

OOC: Skype will be pm'd with part 1 and 2..

Thank you for your interest in serving the Republic.

I'm pleased to inform you that your application for assignment to the First Fleet has been ACCEPTED. You'll be assigned to West Point for initial training. Considering your previous employment, I expect you'll be able to find your own way there; however, if that's not the case please advise your case manager and transport will be organised for you. While your experience with fighter-craft is noted you will still be required to attend training with 108 Training Flight in Ontario at the conclusion of IOC at West Point.

A full brief with equipment and timings will be dispatched via private communications. I wish you the best of luck in your career.

*A video recording flickers on. The audio is full of interference, and the pilot is shouting into his microphone. He is clearly occupied with fighting an enemy, and the camera is shaking as the Guardian is thrown into one sharp turn after the other.*

Ahoy there, Sirs and Ma'ams!

My name is Dan Marshall, and I'm a pilot at the Secondary Fleet Core. The conflict on the southern borders is cooling down, and we're no longer experiencing Rheinland raids in Texas on a regular basis. There's not much for me to shoot down here, so I figured I should make contact with Primary Fleet to see if you need an extra Guardian to take care of the problem with the Gauls?!

I guess I should tell you a thing or two about myself. I was born on Planet Los Angeles 33 years ago, and I had a comfortable upbringing at the shores of the Half Moon Bay. Both my parents are marine biologists, and my older sister followed in their footsteps. When I turned 18 I decided to join the Liberty Navy while figuring out what to do for the rest of my life, and I sort of just stuck around...

I am very comfortable gunning down foreigners threatening our freedom, peace, and way of life. In fact there's nothing I enjoy more! I keep a calm head when under stress, and I follow orders well. I'm a true patriot, and my trigger finger is itching to kill some of them Gauls. I'm sure we can work out the rest along the way.

I hope that's all y'all need to know?

This is Dan Marshall, signing off!

Good Afternoon Mr Marshall,

Thank you for your interest in serving the Republic.

I wish that I could tell you that I understand the difficulties involved in submitting an application while engaged in a dogfight. Funnily enough, it is not a situation I have first hand experience with, nor is it one I have any desire to attempt. Nonetheless, your enthusiasm for combat has been noted. However, without Parts I and II I am unable to forward your application to the transfer board for evaluation.

Assuming you survived the firefight during which you recorded your initial application, please submit that documentation to recruitment and retention at your earliest convenience. Filling the paperwork out under fire, while impressive, is not required at this point in the process. Until such a time as we receive a complete application Mr Marshall, your transfer will remain PENDING.

Sir,

With all due respect, when I made the transmission from the seat of my Guardian, I wasn't counting on having to fill out long, pointless questionnaires. Reading makes my head hurt. I'm already carrying out my duties to perfection within the Secondary Fleet Core, I didn't join the Navy yesterday, and I definitely didn't join to push pencils! I know you had other pilots over from SFC|, and let me tell you: We know our stuff! Yesterday I alone downed two GRN| pilots in Magellan and Primary Fleet was nowhere to be seen, so ask yourselves if you need a ready and able fighter pilot in the fleet, or if you want yet another diplomat sitting in comfortable safety far away from the front lines, directing traffic around Manhattan?

These are troubled times, and I am asking you to have faith in your recruits - especially when they're already experienced Navy pilots. There's a war out there, and we're losing it if you haven't noticed!?

"Dirty Dan" signing off!
