Drax Grimsby - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 01-12-2009

Born in 3499 A.D. (799 A.S.) to a middle class IMG-Bretonian family, Drax Grimsby was an
ambitious child, always wanted to follow in his fathers' footsteps. Drax loved to tinker with things of foreign nature, Particularly mechanical and robotic. Drax dropped out of school at the age of Sixteen (16), Just like his father, and his fathers' father, and so on. His mother was a Synthetic Marijuana addict, and left him when he was just a boy, to his Father. He soon joined the IMG, at his Fathers side, at South Shields Refinery. A few years later, in 3516 A.D. (816 A.S.) His father died in a mining Accident. The details are unknown even to him, The IMG base commander would tell him nothing. Saddened, Lost, and Angry, he looked at his fathers will. It had a VHF in it, a Viper Class. However, when he he had went to the location of where the fighter was, Drax's Fathers' 'evil' stepson already had taken it. Hugo went to look for money at his father apartment on New London. In a safe, locked deep inside the basement, was a 10 million credit card! Drax was astounded at this sum. He wanted to be a spacefarer, not a dirty miner who will die at the age of 50 because of Lung Cancer. Drax took his fathers old civillian starflier to the the Junker Base behind Southhampton shipyard. Trafalgar. As he was looking through the weapons at the station, a junker was signaling him over...

Drax, looking for work, went over. The Junker wanted to know if he was a good pilot. He was, The Junker had an escorting job for him. It was a dangerous route, taking oxygen to Palmero base in Omicron Eta. The trip went smoothly, and Drax was eyeing the odd looking ship that was at the station... Mitch Sanders, the same one who offered him the escorting job, made another offer. Mitch would buy the ship for drax if he would work for the junkers. Drax accepted the offer, and journeyed off to escort another day...

One day, in far Orbit of Manhattan, A Synth Foods Yatch approached him, with a gambling proposal
1,000 credits for an entry in the roll. Drax accepted, bored and a little tipsy. The Miami's gambling dealer asked him to pick a number between 1 and 6. He picked five, being an odd man. There was now a large crowd appearing around the Miami. An outcast Tridente, even. Junkers, Rouges, and freelancers. Drax felt his blood pressure rise and the dice rolled on his video screen directly streamed from the Miami's deck. It landed on five and he was exited. The others cursed over their comms quietly. It appeared... He has won a golden toilet! He was astounded! It had to be worth at least 10,000,000 credits, It was encrusted in what looked to be blood diamonds. The mood picked up as LSF and LN watched nearby for any stirs of the Pirates toward Manhattan. The dealer looked at the dice and rolled. Alas, The bounced across the table almost in slow motion. They once again, landed on five. The volume input level of the comm unit jumped as the large party screamed "CHEATER!" He won a second golden toilet. This was amazing. One of the rouges took a pot shot at Drax's ship, it shook as the shield took a small pushy hit. Drax ignored it, It was a push to fight with him. He felt humbled by his huge winings. He forefieted his Lucky Number Five to the rouge whom shot at him. He seemed overjoyed. Drax was checking the comms later when he saw the Rouge had won three more times with his number. He felt like he did a good thing. Now it was time for him to do something for himself.

Drax took a trip to Bornholm, waving at the Equipment Dealer as he walked by. There was a beautiful yet falling apart Gunboat there, with what looked to be a erased name tag on the side of the ship. Perfect! He thought. He asked how much it was and the dealer told him it was 15,000,000, and it was in bad shape after the Zoner's nearly took it back from the previous Junker who'd pirated in it. He accepted the deal, and the ship was renamed to

Lucky Number Five
