Greetings

We of the DSM owe you an explanation of the current situation. I am well aware it is long overdoe but establishing our base of operations is no easy task. I'm sure that you also know our current home and Headquarters - Elysium station, is located in the Comonswealth space, Vespucci system.

You may have wondered on occasion what is our reason for this decision, so please let me elaborate. Some time ago, as you know, our former base Lansing Logistical Hub was destroyed by the Commune and some of their allied parties. At the moment of the fall, we had to pack up what could be saved, and run. And since a Jump hole to Pennsylvania was blocked by intruders we had nowhere to go but through the asteroid field in Kansas and in to the Vespucci jump hole. Because Hellfire Legion was involved in the futile attempt to save our base, they wellcomed us with open arms. We had little supplies left and only a handfull of ships. After a day or two the Commonswealth pilots offered us a hand in the salvage operation.

In the meantime we were offered safe heaven in Vespucci so in kind regards to the helping Commonswealth people, we accepted. We had no malice in after thought regarding Liberty Goverment, and we surely didnt want to cause your questioning about our intetions. We simply had to find a new home because the former one was no longer safe for us.

Now, in order for you to understand, the DSM is still a part of Libertonian people in our hearts and we mean no harm to anyone, especially the Navy or any other lawful organisation in Liberty. Yes it is true that the Hellfire Legion and people of Commonswealth are becoming our friends more and more, but that doesnt mean that we will intervene in your afairs in any way.

Also, some of your pilots have been stoping my staff asking them a bunch of questions as to where are they going and why, ect. I can understand it since it is their duty to keap Liberty safe, but on the other hand some of them are suspicious to a point of being rude.

So i am asking you kindly to understand our position and instruct your pilots that we are not enemies, but friends, as we have always been.
