"Maybe you'll think of me.
When you are all alone.
Maybe the one who is waiting for you
will prove untrue...
Then what will you do?
Maybe you'll sit and sigh.
Wishing that I were near, then.
Maybe you'll ask me to come back again.
And maybe I'll say maybe"

War. War never changes.
The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. The Chancellor shaped the battered Rheinland into an economic superpower. But war never changes.

In the 500th century after Sirian Settlement, humanity was still settling throughout the colonies. One thing is known about mankind: all of them are ruthless on killing their own kind, regardless of the reasons. This very trait of the human nature allowed two parts of an abandoned sleeper ship to wage war against their own ancient brethren: The Cretans, and the Maltese. It is yet unknown on whatever were the reasons about these two sides waging frightening wars, but one thing is for sure. Their blood lusting wars were all about power, credits, and a mindless grudge. There was no such thing as mercy in their battlefield. Both sides kept growing, involving more and more factions from all over Sirius, to the point where these wars turned out to be mass genocide. Regardless from all of the events that nearly brought humanity to its own demise, humans were still excelling at killing their own kind.

Filippo was born from a rich family of Cartel Owners in Malta. He was living a wealthy life with his parents and his friends into a small settlement of Cartels located on the far side of the planet. There was nothing more comforting than grasping a relaxed sight of the green, night Maltese sky. Filippo and all of his friends were living a happy life with their families in the lost settlement, regardless from all of the events involving the Maltese Nation. They were pretty much self-sufficient, due to their monthly supplies.

But then, the call of nature awakened the slaves.

It's kill or be killed. All of the slaves decided to form up altogether and to exterminate all of their owners. Heads were chopped down with Sciabole, laser bayonet shots were now the real owners of the settlement. In two brief hours, most of the settlement was reduced to cinders, and all of the fugitive slaves migrated to the east, beyond the No Man's Land. The 14 year old Filippo and his father managed to escape, alongside with few of their credits. Ever since that day, his father could no longer maintain a stable economy. He had to join the Maltese Exploration Division and getting charged for it. 4 Years later, he was sent out on an extremely dangerous mission, located in the cold Nomad Worlds. All is left of him is a wreck, located somewhere in the Omicron Psi system. His ship name was "Piazza Armerina", a well-known exploration vessel among the Maltese. Filippo could simply no longer maintain himself. He could have died of starvation at any possible moment. Until the very day where the Man himself found him.

Jared Nomak. The Samarran Laider Overlord himself. The man took the boy's hand and brought his unconscious body into his Sabre. The wounded boy was later on fixed and patched up in Eridu, the Commune base hidden deep in Nomad Space. The first sight Filippo could see was the blue eyes of the caring man, staring deeply into his soul. Ever since that day, Filippo was charged up with newfound determination and devotion for his new "step-dad". Years have passed by, and Filippo was well known among the Commune for his engineering skills. He was also the newfound Ship-Engineering CEO, at such a young age. Jared himself offered him to work for him for an Engine Research project, known as Project Fuji. But of course, he had to fly with the rest of the Raiding wing, because of their small amount of members. After a dozen of well-planned raids, Filippo's ship was involved into an accident. He was cut out from the rest of the wing due to Liberty Navy pilots shooting him. All he could do was to dock in Rochester and scream out loud for help. In a matter of hours, a Commune medical wing found his crippled ship and Ossari docked in Rochester, and tried to bring him back to Malta in time. That was a long and painful trip, and without his Cardamine, Filippo would have died in a matter of hours. Once they did brought him back in time, the Hospital was unable to restore his legs, and they were unfortunately forced to amputate them. Working into a research project on a wheelchair was no good for him. All he could do was to create artificial limbs with the help of a few engineers in Malta. All he could do was to rest in the Hospital. A few months later, the Commune has been unheard of ever since the accident. Jarek, Hussaini, everyone. They have all disappeared without leaving a trace. All of their comm-channels were shut down for some reason. Filippo was forced to start again his life with a new name, a new ship. "Lamiera", that's how his father was known amongst the Outcast society. Once he did wipe off his previous files and started with new ones, he had no choice but to leave Malta and start from square one into House space.
