Welcome to Crossfire PvP, where people equip 3 CDs to try and stop the two missile launchers that are in the meta loadout.

Did I mention the ammo count for it is abundant and they track well? Also takes out ~70% of your hull, depending on your armor upgrade there.

Wow, so nothing changed there I guess. I remember when I switched to disco from crossfire back in 2011 people used 2-3 CD launchers and missiles. And the missile ammo count didn't even matter because you could fight again right after dying.

I'm the guy on the other side. Crossfire pvp was different, but it didn't mean it was bad. Yes, it was/is missile based (last time I played was in 2011), however it required much more manouvering and timing to launch the missile and guns didn't work because of how fast the meta ship was as well as making you vulnerable to enemy missiles which is evident in the video. I enjoyed it a lot, although I don't know what's the balance nowadays. Also, regens were only used for npcs which were -much- stronger than discovery ones. Not using them made fights balanced and super high paced.

The NPCs definitely played a huge part of the game, especially the domkavash gunboats and alien NPCs in the Inner Core. Also the way they executed coalition was quite interesting with the whole sector and stuff.
