Official Media Contest: Designing the Splash Screen for 4.89 - sindroms - 10-10-2017
Hello, peeps and peep-ettes.
The patch for 4.89 FINAL is going to come down soon enough and one of the more minor things we need made is the intro screen, which will also double as the media used for off-site thumbnails, such as ModDB.
This contest is for the creation of a intro picture used in the splash screen during the game launch. As such there are certain parameters for this:
The image must be of a losless .PNG quality, preferably.
The image must retain these specific sizes due to how the game handles the intro media:
1. 1280x960px resolution version
2. 800x600px resolution version
The image must feature a sort of gerb/crest similar to that of our previous splash screens, with the "Discovery - XXXXXXXXXX" naming schieme. For this patch the name is "Battlegrounds"2. 800x600px resolution version
Since this is being posted in a very short notice, we cannot tell you how long you have to submit your entry. As soon as the last changes are implemented, the patch will be released with or without this addition and is scheduled to happen this month.
The voting process will be done by the Discovery staff an the winner will be able to choose their own reward in terms of ingame or forum assets, simple as that. There will also be a community vote and the winner of that will be entitled to the same reward. If the two votes end up being for the same entry - the second place of the popular vote will be given the prize.
