I do not believe I have formally interacted with members of the Custodi Organization before, besides in passing or brief conversations. The purpose of writing you today is I am personally overseeing the peace talks between my organization, the Ingenuus Research Group, and the Corsair Empire. Sadly, the ex-director who assumed the mantle of head of the IRG while I was in custody of the Core tarnished the neutral and relatively peaceful accord held between us. It is one thing to pick up the pieces after being held captive, and quite another to see your work crumbled beneath you due to the folly of another. The details of such a discussion that has begun can be found here, in case the Brotherhood has not provided the intel to the Custodi. As it stands, the IRG back under my care and command is seeking to rebuild the relationship once held. While many of the mistakes were directly related to the Brotherhood, our reputation carries over beyond just that group within the Corsairs. Which warrants communicating with other prominent members of the Empire. To put it simply, the IRG has work to do. But we hope that in our effort to repair some of the damage, that our status with the Empire can be fixed and our pilots not hunted down over the mistakes of those no longer with the IRG. Regardless, I would appreciate a word on your take of the events that transpired, and to see what can be done to rebuild IRG's reputation. - Finn. RE: To: C:: - Corile - 01-12-2018
Kyrie McCool, While we haven't had any contact with your organisation before, we did in passing hear of some turmoil between you and the Brotherhood. Despite that, though, we do not take much interest in Dorian affairs, mostly because their diplomacy swings like a leaf in the wind. There has been no bad blood between IRG and Custodi and I fully expect it to remain that way. However, if you do wish to get on our good side, I am interested what you have to offer for our nation. Some information or what you do would also likely go a long way. I am eagerly awaiting your reply. Yours sincerely, Ίκαρος Αυγουστόπουλος Icarus Augustopolos General of the Custodi RE: To: C:: - Arioch - 01-16-2018 ::: OPENING SECURE CHANNEL ::: ::: INCOMING TRANSMISSION ::: ::: SENDER - FINN MCCOOL ::: Good day Mr. Augustopolos -
A pleasure to meet your acquaintance. Indeed your words are proving truer and truer the more this incident is dragged on, in regards the Brotherhood's diplomacy. Hopefully things can turn around in the near future. Regardless, I am pleased to hear that the Custodi do not share the same views as the Brotherhood in terms of the IRG. As to information on the Ingenuus Research Group. We are the leading independent Research Organization in Sirius, with no political ties to any Houses that would sway or govern our work. Our projects range from the study of Baxter anomolies, to nano-technology, to new revelations in power sources for military and civilian applications. Currently, we have on the market our proprietary Power Cells, which you can find here. We have also developed our own Docking Ring technology, as an answer to the gap left by Ageira and whom they, and Liberty proper, dictate worthy of their services. Smaller advancements include better Hyperspace tracking, to offer precise Hyperspace coordinates, as well as advances in Cloaking technology to increase the efficiency of the cloaking fields. As to what we can offer? That would depend on the need. While we are a Zoner organization, we are a business. Payment for "good will" sadly does not fund our projects nor pay our employees. But should a need of yours arise that we can assist in, I would be more than happy to discuss the finer details directly, instead of a sales representative, to ensure the outcome is favorable for both sides. Let me know where we can be of assistance, or if there is any other info I can provide. - Finn. RE: To: C:: - Corile - 01-17-2018
Kyrie McCool, I've reviewed your proposal and unfortunately I'm sad to inform you that I don't believe the Custodi can find your services helpful. At the present moment, our nation is struggling with such basic things as access to food, so I'm afraid that various high-technology items are in low demand until we can remedy the issue of starvation on Crete. Unless your organisation has a solution to this problem, we cannot contract you for anything in the immediate future. Yours sincerely, Ίκαρος Αυγουστόπουλος Icarus Augustopolos General of the Custodi RE: To: C:: - Arioch - 01-20-2018 ::: OPENING SECURE CHANNEL ::: ::: INCOMING TRANSMISSION ::: ::: SENDER - FINN MCCOOL ::: Good day Mr. Augustopolos -
If I may be so bold as to correct you, but I do believe you are mistaken that such high-technological items would serve little purpose given your current needs. While the items I mentioned are some of our more public and finalized products, we are a research organization. To work on avenues undiscovered before, and to develop new ways to enhance the populace of Sirius. The soil on Crete that bars extensive agriculture I would say falls under a project we would be interested in. For starters, the Kusari-based company Samura that is competing against Planetform in their services have developed a fertilizer that may assist in the food shortage. From their own marketing campaign promoting the item, "... premium fuel that plants can benefit from in the absence of soil based nutrition". Now, while we may not know if such is the end all answer for Crete's problems, it is an option. The problem would be the relations between Samura and the Custodi or Corsairs in general. What I propose is this: With the help of the CoF, one or two shipments of Hydrogro can be delivered to Crete or a predetermined location. Should such a fertilizer prove to be sufficient, we can discuss recurrent deliveries. This is where the IRG can step in as well, to study the fertilizer and see what can be reverse-engineered so as to create a substance that will not be contingent on supplies from Samura. Should though that option not prove suitable, another avenue can be explored. While SynthFoods would equally prove to be a challenge to work with directly, their expertise in Biodomes cannot be avoided. Perhaps either orbital food processing facilities or planetside facilities on a large scale, while costly, could provide an answer. The IRG again would be happy to look into ways to utilize our own technology in conjunction with their products for Crete. High-tech doesn't always mean luxury. In this case, I do believe utilizing our technological prowess can be of assistance in your dilemma. Should you be interested in exploring ways that the IRG can assist, we would like to discuss a way that the Custodi might be able to assist the IRG and the CoF in the near future as well, as some interesting developments are arising on both of our doorsteps. - Finn. Kyrie McCool, In that case I believe we may yet find common ground. The proposals you put forth would be very helpful if they were to come to fruition. However, before I agree, I would like to know in full what you'd expect as a repayment. Yours sincerely, Ίκαρος Αυγουστόπουλος Icarus Augustopolos General of the Custodi RE: To: C:: - Arioch - 02-03-2018 ::: OPENING SECURE CHANNEL ::: ::: INCOMING TRANSMISSION ::: ::: SENDER - FINN MCCOOL ::: Good day Mr. Augustopolos -
My apologies for the delay in response. Matters elsewhere held up any communication from my end. As for repayment. It has come to my attention that Freeport 11 and the Zoners residing in the Omicron Delta system face a potential crisis. I doubt this will come as much of a shock, given the numerous events that seem to all gravitate towards that system, but we have it on good authority that an attack from the cursed Nomads and their minions may be happening in the near future. The times we relied on the Order to provide their support against their enemy are no more, as the Order seemingly is more interested in hunting down who they deem enemies, versus the true enemy of mankind. The Core are the Core, and while a cease-fire exists, their support can not be guaranteed either. Thus, it falls to reach out to our neighbors in the south, the Corsairs. While diplomatic ties and alliances come and go, organizations working with one group who considers another an enemy, few accept that those political views matter not against the Nomad threat. The Nomads do not care that the Corsairs and the Rheinland Government battle. They do not care that the Core and the Order are constantly at eachothers throats. In fact, I should restate the point above that they enjoy mankind warring with eachother, as it presents them opportunity to prey on the weak and defeated. As such, while the Corsairs and the other denizens of the Omicrons may not agree with eachother, we are all in the cross hairs of the threat the Nomads present. Which is why the repayment requested is for the support of the Custodi fleets if and when such an attack occur. If our intel is correct, this will be more than we can handle on our own, and will need the support of our neighbors. I am aware this is a rather open ended and large request. But as payment for our help to bring lasting changes to those on Crete, we hope that our request for the Custodi to bring more immediate help, should the time come, be acceptable. - Finn. RE: To: C:: - Corile - 02-03-2018
Kyrie McCool, I have considered your proposal and while protection is something we can certainly offer, as the Custodi fleet is definitely one of the best in Sirius, there are certain roadblocks. At the present moment, Custodi take great interest in the system of Cyprus (or Sigma-21) and notably the only habitable planet there. Our operations there, however, are interrupted by many organisations, among which are Rheinland, Kusari, GMG and Blood Dragons. Thus, Cyprus requires most of the attention of our fleet. Our two battleships, the CNS Prometheus and CNS Andromeda, along with their fighter squadrons are stationed in the system. Recently we outfitted the Andromeda with a new jump drive which would allow us to move the fleet around much more quickly and possibly reinforce our combat forces wherever necessary. However, the construction of our survey ship has been delayed due to various factors, so we have no good way of utilising the jump drive to our advantage. I suppose the bottom line is this: if you can provide us with hyperspace coordinates or beacons to positions you need help at, we can get there easily and then return back. That would let us solve your defence problem while not straining our forces elsewhere. Let me know if that is acceptable to you. Yours sincerely, Ίκαρος Αυγουστόπουλος Icarus Augustopolos General of the Custodi RE: To: C:: - Custodi - 02-27-2018 RE: To: C:: - Arioch - 03-08-2018 ::: OPENING SECURE CHANNEL ::: ::: INCOMING TRANSMISSION ::: ::: SENDER - FINN MCCOOL ::: Mr. Augustopolos -
My apologies in the delay getting back to you. A project I was leading demanded more of my attention than I was anticipating, which unfortunately led to a pause in many dealings I had elsewhere, yours included Now, regarding the coordinates, I will see about having those coordinates mapped and sent over to you promptly. Though, I am quite pleased to say that the initial threat I spoke of has lessened, and we anticipate a 35% probability that such will now occur thankfully. But, we are speaking about fringe space. Unforeseen events happen all the time. As for shipments sent to Crete, I am saddened to hear nothing as of yet of those shipments being made. I will instruct our pilots to begin deliveries. Though, a small matter. Given the turmoil with the Brotherhood in the past, docking on Crete is not feasible at this time given access has been restricted to any vessel registered as IRG. Would have a more neutral location where initial deliveries can be made, until the IRG find themselves welcome again on Crete? Please let us know so we can uphold our end of the bargain. Safe skies. - Finn. |
