A meeting that never happened - Jansen - 01-14-2018

A ship is floating apparently void of life in the remote outskirts of the Palau Ice Cloud, considering the dangerous nature of the system, this should not be a sight thats too unusual, if two thing werent so remarkable about it.

The first thing is obvious as Rheinland vessels, especially Battleships, are usually not a common sight, this far away from home. The second aspect is directly related to the ship. Its hull markings identify it as the Battleship Schiller, considered to be destroyed within the Nomad War in the Tau region, which recently has become a subject of rumors within the so called Nomad Worlds.

Upon closer inspection one could see that the ship indeed shows traces of heavy damage, however it also appears as if it has been subject to extensive repair activities and that organic tissue, apparently Nomad in nature, has grown in places, where things could not be fixed otherwise. The hybrid nature of the ship becomes more apparent, when visiting the bridge, where most of the technical devices have been connected utilizing Nomad tissue, allowing the ship to be flown by a relatively small crew.

The commander of the vessel is Paul Richter a relatively unremarkable man formerly being a Feldwebel of the Rheinwehr, a person with a face that would go unnoticed in every small crowd and that most people couldnt exactly recall even a few minutes after just having met him. There have been no traces of him, after he dissapeared, supposedly KiA in 819 AS and yet, it appears that he is the leading figure behind an organization, that is spreading terror and bloodshed all over Sirius.

Without a word the commander gives the order to send out a message with coordinates and dates to a person, some might even go as far as calling him an ally, well known to the organization, commonly referred to as das Wilde.

With the coordinates being sent, a heavily modified Sabre fighter approaches Palau Cloud. Upon coming closer to destination and waypoint that was set, one couldn't see anything more than a purple fog around him.

However, with reaching point exactly where waypoint was set, with periodical lighting that would occur, in front a capital vessel could be sighted for a second or two, as a shadow. One would think it was an illusion, as the place was known for increased Nomad activity and energetic anomalies.

However, it was Nomak and the capital vessel in front of him was not an illusion but rather, a place of meeting. It was Rheinland battleship, calm and dormant. One would think it was stranded there for years. With moving closer to it slowly, he would exactly see all those battle marks and small portions of silicate-like material emerging from the cracks.

While the Sabre came closer, the Battleships scanners started their work and made sure that no detail about the ship was issed. Upon completion one of the docking bays was opened and the short range transmission was sent towards the fighter "We have expected you Mr. Nomak, you may proceed to dock at docking bay 2, everything is prepared.".
Shortly after having sent the transmission Richter wordlessly left the bridge and went towards the docking bays.

"Understood, proceeding to dock." Nomak responded, as he turned off the autopilot and navigated his ship to the opening doors of the docking bay. Inside, everything seemed regular, as he would find himself in ordinary Rheinland Battleship. Only a few of its crew could be seen there, doing their regular work of maintaining the vessel. None of them paid attention to the Sabre that was entering like it was a regular sight.

Nomak landed his fighter and got out from it as Paul Richter was approaching. He began walking towards him while expanding his hand to him. As they shook hands, Nomak said: "At last, we meet my friend."

"It is long overdue, that we meet in person." After shaking hands, Richter signaled Nomak to follow him to a nearby room, one that seemed to have served as a storage room of some sorts. The room was filled with various weapons, mostly of Rheinland origin. They stopped at a crate with three weapons.
"We promissed you to supply you with Firekiss weaponry, those are the ones we can spare." Upon closer inspection one could see that the weapons had several scratches and over had a rather used look. "As you can see they are not new, they have been in service in the harsh Omega enviroment for few a years, that doesnt go by unnoticed. Our engineers have made sure that they are fully functional and will mount them to your ship right away, if you want them to."
Without any words Richter seemed to have ordered people into the room, which seemed to be waiting for Nomaks confirmation in order to start their work.

Nomak nodded to Richter and inspected the guns. He looked closer at them and went over the scratches with his hands but, without too many complications. "I would be a fool if I would doubt your abilities, Richter. These look good." as he signaled with his hand to engineers to start and then turned back towards Richter. "Now, since this is solved, I believe it will take some time. We could discuss other things and consider what options we have since I am here."

Richter nodded "Perfect, let those do their work, while we talk about real business." Richter led Nomak to another room close to the docks. he room looked as if it could have been some kind of canteen many years ago, however it didnt seem as if it had been used much since the ships active time within the Rheinwehr.
After they sat down at a table, Richter looked at Nomak "Now dear friend, what do you know about the Tau systems and Bretonia?

RE: A meeting that never happened - PRJKTLRD - 01-24-2018

Nomak took a seat, facing Richter over the table. He took out his cigarettes and lighter, and made short glance to Richter, in a manner of the question if he would mind him smoking. Richter raised his right hand in a manner of approval and Nomak lighted up his cigarette. He exhaled cigarette smoke through his nose and begun speaking: "For some time already, most of my people are situated in Coronado and all over to the Tau 37. We are looking for Enma Loyola, currently Guildmistress of the Core, that was supposed to help me out with the conquer of Malta- don't ask me how, but it's the only possible way at the moment." - he added at the end in a dull expression. "We are also aware of the rumors about Core presence in that sector, but it is yet to be confirmed. At the time while I had these negotiations with Loyola, someone captured her and took her away. Maybe you've seen the transmission, that she sent from Coronado area." Nomak took another inhale, exhaled it and continued: "During our presence around there, from the reports that I am getting, there is notable increased activity of IMG and Crayterian forces, usually working together in the far edges of Tau sector. As of Bretonia, aside from further advance of the Royalists, I don't know anything else as we were more focused on Liberty."

"If you were to seize control of Matla, then this would be truly benefical. If you need additional resources for this, then we might be able to aid you. However, I am certain that you know about our relations with the Core." Richter exhaled deeply "Though compared to the Crayterians, the Core is a smaller evil. The Crayterians have become a problem." Richter looked right into Nomas eyes. "You certainly have heard about their attack on one of our gates. They have managed to destroy it and as long as they keep patrolling the area, we will be unable to restore this link." Upon listening closely, one could find a slight bit of anger in Richters words, something that appears to be completely unusual. "Those people will get to know what happens to those thta dare to oppose us. I do hope that we can count on your assistance in this matter. They and their allies will get a taste of real terror and Bretonia might play an important role in it."
Richter leaned back, his eyes still focused on Nomak. "Thats why I asked what you know about them. Bretonia is weak and the way its society is organized is just perfect for our plans..."

RE: A meeting that never happened - PRJKTLRD - 02-07-2018

"I see... we can elaborate further on that my friend." - Nomak replied to Richter's concerns. He stood up and begun walking around the table, while further finishing his cigarette and putting it out in the ashtray that was near. He then crossed his hands and turned towards Richter: "What about your assistance regarding Malta?" - he then asked.
