If I understand the finer points of typical Bretonian political rhetoric, you don't have the time or patience to listen to so-called "madmen" and " radicals" such as ourselves, who seek to destroy what remains of your precious liberal constitutional monarchy and install what you wrongfully perceive as tyranny. If that's the case, then I expect that what I am about to propose will not even make it past your spam filters, just as your foresight tends not to extend past your utter devotion to your queen. If, perhaps, you understand the realism and gravity of your present situation for what it truly is, then maybe Bretonia and the People's Republic of the Sirius Coalition can come to at least some limited form of reconciliation. You have no reason to trust us, and vice versa, but if you truly hold your principles dear you will at least give a modicum of attention to this. Even someone with an utter lack of brain cells knows what state Bretonia is in. The Gauls in the front, occupying and smashing everything in sight. That is real tyranny. Threats abound within your own borders, and not a single organized one without some form of political agenda. You know well enough what I am referring to... but enough berating. If I wanted to do that there's much quicker ways of doing so than talking. Our "demands" as your jumped-up media would put it, more so requests, are simple. With few other options to acquire one, we reach out to you in an attempt to acquire a "Shire" container transport, known to be produced actively only within a few of your corporate drydocks. I'm sure you have quite the surplus, and a single transport can hardly spell your defeat if it wasn't carrying anything to begin with. The other point we request of you at this time is freedom of movement within your borders, and a bilateral cessation of hostilities in doing so. As much as we may despise one another, you know well enough the Gauls have little care for semantics in the face of their battleships. On this side of Sirius, they are the most persistent danger to anything resembling peace and prosperity. No one can reliably speak for the future, but everyone can reliably speak for the present. Maybe there is hope in the long run. Maybe I am, in fact, a madman. Either way, the die is cast. For the Motherland, for the Revolution. Premier Selim out. RE: TO: Bretonian Intelligence Services. FROM: The Sirius Coalition. - Byron - 01-28-2018 Premier Selim Premier, I believe we all have to acknowledge that we, whether we like it or not, happen to live in a crazy time. For crazy times, this is an equally crazy communique that I have found in my inbox. However, to put the first of a few prejucides you seem to have about Bretonian ways out of the way, that does not mean that crazy deeds go unheeded when directed to us. I would even go as far to say that they can be counted as one of our specialties. Sometimes crazy times afford seemingly crazy decisions. You can rest assured that we are fairly cognizant of the current situation our Motherland is in. It is indeed not the least troublesome. That exactly those who we would have expected the least to come to us for a mutual agreement can only be called a surprise, I must say. In any case, I have forwarded your “requests”, as you have worded it, to the Governmental bureau for further inspection and consultation. I do not know to what extent you are acquainted with bureaucratic methods, but they tend to take their while. It is however no question that we will process these requests with the utmost haste, in order to come to a solution as quickly as possible. The GRN does usually not do us the honor of waiting until we are finished with paperwork and tea, you see. Having said this, though, I ask you to get into further detail what you would wish to do with the Shire, presumed we accepted and donated one to you. What is it you need a Bretonian transport for that you cannot handle with your own ship lines? In addition, to go a first step into the right direction until the other organs of Government have issued a statement, I think it would only be wise to enter a ceasefire treaty between your people and our. Even if the exact terms of your request might still need some adjusting, a cessation of hostilities is not beyond the means, and will surely prove as a benefit for both of us. I will keep you informed about the decision from our Government. Regards: C. Jenkins SIS Operative RE: TO: Bretonian Intelligence Services. Privyet. Hah. Perhaps peace is in fact a viable option between the People's Republic and Bretonia. I have anticipated the bureaucratic shuffle that your government has a tendency to get into, though I would have hoped that eight centuries of development would have made it more efficient for what it is. While the People's Republic has extensive shipbuilding expertise, it is mainly focused on the development of things other than effective transport vessels. The state corporation Volgograd Industrial primarily relies on vessels procured from sources in the Border Worlds and our less "legal" allies, as they are seen by the Houses they reside in. As a result the People's Republic lacks a distinct home-built transport craft. The Shire, should your government choose to provide it, would be utilized as a component in an ongoing project by the Ministry of Plenty to develop such a transport, in addition to potentially being used for its intended purpose as a hauler. I am prepared to have the Revolutionary Army stand down in its ongoing operations against Bretonia as soon as your Armed Forces and Police Authority are prepared to do the same. The particulars for access and operations against the Gauls can be sorted with your government officials. Then we can focus on stopping the Gauls, and resolve our standing issues. For the Motherland, for the Revolution. Premier Selim out. RE: TO: Bretonian Intelligence Services. FROM: The Sirius Coalition. - Secret Intelligence Service - 02-01-2018 Premier Selim A general ceasefire has been issued by the BAF against all SCRA vessels outside of Bretonia. You may consider this a show of goodwill between our two nations, and an indication that we are taking your offer seriously. The conditions are currently: 1) None of your vessels may enter Bretonia, Omega-3 (Gibraltar) or occupied Leeds 2) Your transports are not exempt from the above condition and may not enter Bretonia or the aforementioned systems 3) Your Capital vessels and other vessels may not traverse Dublin or any other systems. I stress, these are the current conditions, and I ask that you keep your people out of Bretonia for the time being. I am also to inform you that her majesties Government of Bretonia is willing to enter negotiations for the proposed Non-Aggression pact. During these negotiations the above terms may be discussed and altered, but as of now, they are in effect. I ask that you reply at your earliest convenience, sooner rather than later would be best, so we may move forward with our arrangements. I wish you a good day sir. H.V.
