My dearest Marisa,

It's been a long time since I last saw you. Things in Omicron Delta have changed, Drastically. I miss seeing your beautiful smile, your beautiful body, and your adventurous and courageous personality. I long to see you again as I miss the times we'd have together.

I want to get you caught up to speed with the situation here.. Recently I got the position of Administrator-designate of Freeport 11, after Kyu Akibara left. I'll get to why in a moment. It's been a stressful few months since I took the helm of the station. (With the CoF's blessing, of course, Brettonias seems to take favorably to me, as have I to him after fighting alongside him against the Nomads in recent days.) Internally, the only major situation we've got on our hands is the fact that Dr. Erzie from Ingennus apparently went missing. We've tried looking back at the logs but Alexei in maintenance says numerous blocks from the footage recording server's filesystem had been corrupted, some random footage including the meeting room where Erzie was waiting to meet McCool.

The Core proposed peace to us recently, and Akibara accepted it. Frankly, I was hesitant at first, but with the Token of peace that was Port Carthage (not Fort Carthage, the Order Installation), I felt that the Core actually meant it with making peace with us after what Nodtviet did and all the death and destruction we've endured. However, The Order has absolutely lost it. Michal Golanski decided to attack Carthage for the sake of claiming, even though it was squawking a Zoner Ident and built jointly by the FP11 Maintenance team and AP Manufacturing, they destroyed it, killing people just like Nodtviet did. I hate to say it, but with the ascension of this Radical, Nathan Archos, in the Core, and the apparent absence of Enma Loyola, I can't really trust either faction much anymore. Golanski has clearly lost his freaking mind with a God Complex, Archos is a Religious nut who accepts nothing short of eradicating his rivals.

After Carthage was destroyed, Golanski apparently demanded Akibara leave or he'd not just NEMP Freeport 11, but every Zoner installation in reach of their Primary Fleet, As far as Gran Can and Lanzarote. If this isn't evidence that Golly has lost it, I don't know what is. As a result of the threats, Kyu left the Freeport and fled to god knows where.

Nomads have been running rampant and it seems the only reliable support we can get out here is from Auxesia and from Core, usually when under the helm of Jack Daniels (To be honest.. What idiot names his kid after a brand of old-earth Tennessee Whiskey?) I met with Keeper Leviathan alongside Honya. We had a nice talk and were treated pretty much like Royalty whilst aboard the Andraste, his ship. From meeting with Auxesia, I got to see what they're all about, and frankly.. I know this sounds weird.. but I trust them more than I do the Core. Something about them clicks with me. I'd like to introduce you to Leviathan one day.. he's a very interesting man.

Anywho.. I also made friends while you've been gone. Alexei from Maintenance being one, along with Marcus Conway and his crew, Harpy Squadron. There's also Diana Aaliyah and Nerva Regis, the latter of which I met whilst fighting to defend Carthage.

Furthermore.. do yourself a favor and steer clear of Triple Hazard Pay and Lost Company. The two of them are bad news, not to mention the latter has been targeting Bride and Honya as of late.

I have so much to tell you, and I can't wait for you to come home.. I have a surprise you'll like to see... In fact.. I want to throw a party to celebrate you coming back.

I miss you so much, and I hope to hear or see you soon.

Nodoka-chan

Sweet Nodo-chan, it's been a long time. I hope you received the message I left you before my crew and I set out, but given how insane it sounds like things have been, I don't imagine you did. I'm sorry I didn't see you in person first, but I'm happy that you're finding a way to leave the mark we both know you were always meant to make.

You've told me so much I'm not sure how to respond to it all. I will never trust or even like the Core, but I trust your assessment of them as being useful a- er, useful neighbors to be on friendly terms with. I know that you'll be a fabulous leader for my family from the Freeport, and do whatever it takes to keep it safe from outsiders who can't ever respect our way. Wish I was there to be in the thick of it with you, but, well…

Deep space is a strange thing. We met as explorers, but in a way, I was just showing you around my neighborhood, like it was the really bad part of town. For you, I think, it was more. I always yearn for more. I'm never satisfied, and I don't like it about myself, but we Zoners gotta always be true to our nature, that's why we came out here, that's why I had to go further! I didn't have a choice.

I think, for you, almost a year has passed. Time is so strangely relative. It doesn't matter what the Sidon's clocks say, it barely feels like two months to me. But there's hardly anything to map out here, anyway - and we don't have the gear to explore in too much detail. We've come so far out, I don't even know if we'll be able to come back, but we turned around a while ago and your signal only caught up with us now. So it might take a while, but I think that we're on the right track.

I'm sorry that I'm the way I am, but I can't wait to see you. I'm coming home. I'm coming back to the Port, and I'm coming back to you. I hope that you're still there if- ...when we make it.
