Turning - Spectre - 02-03-2018

I'm fairly certain this topic has been put out countless times, and if anyone wants to link the thread for it (since I'm dumb and can't find it), go for it. Regardless..

I was going to write a whole book on this, but I'll just ask it here...

Why are the turning rates for inter-ship classes disproportionate?

I.E: Light battleships with slower rates than most heavy ones. House quirks that don't make it into the stats. Etc.

RE: Turning - Thunderer - 02-03-2018

Light battleships are already good at dodging because of their size, plus they can strafe. Heavy battleships are much larger and need some means of dodging shots. Being more agile is quite useful there.

I'm mainly speaking of this from a realistic standpoint, where things that have more mass are generally more difficult to turn because of inertia. In an environment that is focused on creating a mildly real environment, with obvious exceptions, I'd expect that this would be taken into account while still maintaining a semblance of balance for actual gameplay.

Maybe light battleships have weaker side-thrusters for turning
