Greetings.

Per 3.2 Section of the Orange Treaty, I am here to provide you with information about a violation of Freeport 10's No Fire Zone by a regional enemy of yours who was viciously attacking a transport.

I understand you have significant sway with the Zoners and the CoF in particular so this piece of intel might be valuable to your ambassadors, who can exploit it to advance the Maltese interests and simultaneously diminish the Freeport access and overall influence of your enemies.

While you are not obligated since this is not a trade offer, the Lane Hackers would like to ask for permission to acquire two additional 'Aspis'-class transports from your shipyard dealers.

Do not take too long to respond. An intel's significance diminishes with every hour.

Mr. Yoshida, a pleasure to hear from you.

The Council is interested in hearing what you would have us provided with. While we cannot promise any results from the side of the Freeport's administration, the Council is very well worried about an installation this close to our nation that might well be hiding all sorts of assorted criminal elements. Do go on and we will see whether Venice's capabilities might suit to serve your request.

Please, we are listening.

Senor Contari,

It is a pleasure to support our allies and a duty as well. We will be glad to receive this additional permit but it is not tied to this intel exchange or any future one we'll certainly send your way.

Anyway, here is the evidence. The bomber is clearly the aggressor in this conflict and dangerously close to the Freeport. []

This is less stellar than I would have imagined.

The footage provided is too ambivalent to be used adequately for any sort of legal action within the Freeport administration system, I fear. Still, the Council is grateful for your consultation, as we appreciate being up to date on matters pertaining the Nation's borders.

In regards to the Aspis Battletransports you requested, they are currently only in very low production. It has been an incruciatingly slow process of getting the Council of Dons to agree on a single ship to be produced to solidify the Cardamine trade and not rely on outside ship builders for transports. As such, there is only a limited number of vessels available and in production right now. Still, the Council recalls having permitted the Lane Hackers access to their technology, and as such, we will look into the possibility of speeding up the process. For now, Venice is producing the Aspis transport vessel Sicilia, which is to have its maiden voyage in five days time. The Lane Hackers may make use of this vessel, paying the dockmaster's fees, of course. Another Aspis could be ready for you in five weeks time. Is this agreeable to you?

Senor Contari,

It is unfortunate that you cannot use this intel in a manner close to your liking. As you can see our enemies are growing bolder and more confident by engaging Maltese transports which are the lifeline to the Hackers and a major source of income to your Nation.

As for the Aspis transports, the terms are very much agreeable. They will make an important addition to our smuggling fleet and substantially increase the cargo flow between Malta and Leiden to even higher numbers.
