Life...began out there...
For most of the Crayter people, life truly began and ended in Crayter... Some families throve to greatness like Anders, Atreides, Corvin, Myers, Skalski, Connor and Vermilion by their contribution to Crayter, some brought shame in the Dark Era by being backbone of pirate fleets. There was one family, destined to succeed all others... It was the Richard family.
Richard family were mostly a heritage of engineers and traders during the prospering times of Crayter Sector. Traded goods all along the twelve planets of Crayter and brought riches to the Sector. It was all nice and peaceful until the Dark Era of Crayter arrived... Piracy and terrorism plagued over Crayter, Trade ships torn apart to pieces and fear ensued itself. Then the Quorum formed and the families gathered to put an end into this bloody nonsense. It is told that the Richard family formed an initiative to design and churn out the Eros Scout Fighter's fitst iteration. Armed to teeth and born to be the first specialized Police vessel, Legions of Eros Fighters beat the ragtag pirates and the families who helped said ragtag fleet got expelled to far reaches of the Sector. Rumors says the first long range prototype that "destined" to find life beyond Crayter are descendants of those traitors...
Richard Family ascended to status of renowned families of Crayter with Miguel Richard, Chief of Milita Initiative of New Eden. As the milita prevented accidents and racked kill counts of criminal elements with the chief leading a squadron himself, Richard family whispered from ear to ear as devoted guardians of Crayter. With Miguel's son, Adam, helping the Inıtiative to be a full fledged Military force and founding New Eden Military Academy with his father's hard earned wealth as well as family's trader connections, earned even more respect of the Quorum and Crayter's citizens.
However, all was only a beginning...
Adam married with Miranda Anders, a skilled pilot belonged to 3rd Squadron under him at 789 A.C. (778 A.S.) After a rather questionable night in the Moira Central Park, Michael was born... at a heavy cost. His beloved mother, Miranda Richard, gave her last breath during birth... Michael never had the chance to know what a mother's love to be.
Early Childhood
Michael was a clever boy and showed interest in Military from early age. Filled with glorious feats of his grandfather mostly, Michael idolized his grandfather and father. Dreaming of protecting his people from dangerous aliens and scummy people, he trained to get himself up to shape physically and mentally starting from age 10. Even his favourite comic was The Black Phoenix, a superhero comic that was filled with superheroes and militaristic ideals.
The Exodus
Michael, alongside hundreds of thousands, boarded the Gemini and some of his friends boarded the Orion. Both ships were designed to sustain, educate and train the future of Crayter. Michael, alongside two of Corvins, Henry and Erik, completed their Primary School on the journey to Sirius. As well as the aptly named Moira Junior Warschool in the honor of Adam Richard.
Teens - Early
While at Warschool, by the burdening and at the same time pushing knowledge of losing their beloved home for forever, Michael focused on succeeding his education. His teachers and mentors, as well as his father, always said that his generation was the key to rebuild the fledging nation. He strengthened his bonds with the Corvins even more, and fell in love with a Vermillion, named Phoebe. Who would have managed to make her name written with golden letters into history books by the time she become a Commander in the Fleet.
Sadly Michael's love for Phoebe stayed only one sided for very long time, only to be replied with a rejection.
When Corvins and Michael completed their training at Moira Warschool, Erik moved into engineering. Henry continued with Michael to New Eden Military Academy, which transferred into Orion in a rather portable form.
Arrival at Sirius
When Michael was congrulating his 19th birthday with his friends from Academy, Another news arrived. Both Gemini and Orion arrived at Sirius safely. By that time, Michael was at Orion, which arrived to "fringe" of Omicrons and Erik was seperated from both by arriving at Omegas inside Gemini, near Bretonian space. With the arrival, the Military was tasked with security of sleeper ships and their nation in this harsh, unwelcoming sector. As Military were lacking in numbers compared to rest of Sirius, the ones in training put into active duty regardless of their training levels and they have been switched into on-the-job model of training at Gemini. However the ones aboard Orion was luckier as even in their relative remoteness and unsafety, they managed to find an abandoned depot and use both the depot and Orion as home. Michael worked on the Depot security with the rank of Private until 814 A.C. (803 A.S.). By the time Crayter made a deal with Planetform and Bretonia, Orion also met with Gemini with the hopes of temporarily settling a place. Meanwhile Michael was transferred to the Fleet and given the rank of Lieutenant, put under Phoebe Vermillion's wing. Vermillion's wing did exceptionally good at securing Planetorm's deals, until disputes happened at 807 A.S. Known as the COlonial Remnants at that time, they stroke a deal with IMG which opened the doors of Taus to the Crayter.
Settlement of Tau-44
Finally the Crayter people found a home among stars... They started to build a proper nation that they could shield beneath its sheer force. With access to vast resources of Taus and help of their newly made friends, the IMG, Crayter people ascended to their brightest era. A vast network of trade deals with locals, relatively strong military and the people's evengoing will helped the nation to born from ashes. Meanwhile Michael got promoted to Lieutenant Commander and transfrred to vanguard Fleet, under Major Jack Skalski's stritct as nails wing. After several bloody skirmishes with Outcasts, Both Michael and his father given "Everlasting Phoenix" medal for their contributions to the Republic. Over time Michael transferred to 88th Battlegroup, first as one of the first wave of Pytho Strike Bomber pilots, and over time he got the command of the 47th "Supernova" Squadron. By the time proper expeditions into Omegas happened under command of Commodore Kurt Benzen, CO of legendary Zephyr-Class C.F.V. Nemesis, Michael was transferred to Fleet Operations from Flight Operations and given the Captain's seat aboard a Hydra-Class Corvette, the Epimetheus to conduct heavy patrol of Tau-44 and sorrounding Taus.
Then a looming threat that never seen appeared...
The Second Exodus
The Gallic Empire happened. Armed with tens of devastating Valor-Class Dreadnoughts and thousands of other classes of finest engineering Sirius ever seen. Brave men and women of Crayter, despise all odds, did their best. At that time, Michael was a Captain, Commanding a Thanatos-Class Cruiser. As the Gallic horde crushed into gates of Taus, Crayter churned out more and more of their ships to ensure the evacuation of its people was a success. While the Admirality of that era decided retreating to unknown was best actions, legendary commanders like Kurt Benzen and Phoebe Vermillion wasnt going to give up without a fight. They ordered the Fleet to hold ground as much as they can, while also knowing they could not beat the behemoths of invaders... Michael and his battlegroup done daring strikes on Gallia's key ships one by one until the evacuation was successful and the Sleeper Ships was on the run again. With many transport ships and military ships lost, people barely found the window of retreat and they retreated into unknown...
Coronado - A new beginning
All thanks to IMG's discoveries and tenacity... A new home found among the stars, hope was not lost and Crayter Republic were given a third chance among the vastness of space. The 88th Battlegroup arrived 2 months later than planned, while all the fleet arrived in random intervals just like them. The Government spent almost all available money on Military's reequipment and training. WHile almost all survivors of Tau-44 given medals and several battlegroups receiving promotions entirely to bolster missing ranks. Michael, due to his usage of initiative, given "Blaze of Crayter" medal and promoted to Commodore directly. Same as Benzen and Vermillion. Together they formed the Admirality alongside rest of the Commodores and Admiral Anders.
Wowing to defeat Gallia, Michael started to lead daring strikes at Taus without regards of conventional battle rules and declarations. Even if questioned by Admirality due to his methods, even they could not agree his methods was effective and his victories was a bolster factor.
An era filled with glory...
Over time Michael got popularity within and outside of Fleet due to his actions and being an example to his people. With the Anders withdrawing Admiral position and retiring, Admirality voted for Michael Richard to be the next Admiral.
While being Admiral, despise all advices against, he participated in active combat with the Flagship C.F.V. Ares.
Bolstering the troops and pilots all over various battlefields, he even conducted ground operations against GRN forces at Leeds. In a skirmish at Tau-29, he lost his left arm and right leg due to a direct hit at Ares' bridge, rendering the ship out of service for several months.
An era filled with shame...
Michael was rather radical with the ways of fleet and how the nation should direct themselves. Due to that he had his fair share of argues with the Fleet's new rising star, Claire Chandler. Chandler was known for her opportunistic nature, while that also brought many victories, caused Michael to question her methods.
With the Operation 'Cleanser' put into play, the situation went even worse as the Chandler defended keeping an active network into infectee's system while Richard was certain of troubles such move could bring. With Order Grand Admiral Golanski's help, they managed to blow up the gate, however that came with a heavy loss. To destroy the gate, Admiral Richard had to put a daring strike that costed Ares heavily, cause death of more than half of crewmen and put Admiral into deep coma as a result.
Chandler did not stop for any seconds to seize the opportunity of course...
The Dark Days
As Michael awakened from coma, he saw Crayter at disarray. With President Henry G. Corvin retired, an interim president was "put in place" . Chandler ruining the finely crafted diplomacy, the most trusted units of Crayter declared as rogue...
He, after getting treated at Freeport 10, returned to Crayter space and claimed command of newly made Zephyr-Class, Phobos. After seeing that somewhat a majority supports him over current disarray, he sided with 17th 'Rapiers' squadron to set things right, starting Battlegroup Phobos and thenwith civilian support making a whole seperate governing body based at newly deployed Zephyr, Helios under the name of Armed Resistance of Crayter, went on a literal popularity contest to the point of entering next elections as a legit "party". However tensions may be with the Battlegroup Phobos and rest of the Military, they still managed to stay within one banner against common enemies. Thanks to President Fiona Payne's mediatory, both the Military and Armed Resistance of Crayter came to terms and a Council was formed under President's leadership. With seeing Overwhelming support for Michael Richard, Chandler left Crayter in hopes ofsearching a home, rumors states she is seen under IMG affiliation.
Recent History
Michael, no longer having to go through another contest of sorts, operationg the newly produced Deimos-Class, Olympia. Still actively joining into battles and having his cybernetics replaced by synthetics thanks to Dr. Rio Umeda, looks better and more confident than ever. Currently taken the flagship as his pet project, seeks to equip it with experimental weaponary to aid better in Republic's cause.
The Darkest Hour
In an attempt to enforce his vision, he betrayed Crayter, offering entirety of Tau 44 to Natio Octaviarum, then turning his mighty warship on his people, before getting captured by Crayter Intelligence and tortured, experimented, interrogated, conditioned and brainwashed by CIS, experiencing the brutal, dark facet of Crayter and it's eternal guardians that went through many things. Once his allies during the Armed Resistance days, now CIS were his rivals. Only until he was forcibly made into an asset…
The Omega
As Richard disappeared, a particular CIS Agent codenamed Omega surfaced. With traits similar to Richard, a face full of scars and cybernetics like him, he is assumed to be a brother-in-arms of Richard, albeit in reality, Omega was closer to Michael than people thought. In fact, it was a violent, creepy transformation, that converted a timeless war hero and recent traitor to a ruthless, soulless asset of Crayter Intelligence. A brutal sword of retribution against Crayter's enemies. Not knowing of himself now, under the guise of Omega, he continues battling Crayter's enemies from shadows...
Life Began Anew
During one of the missions as this twisted identity, he has shown first steps of overcoming the brainwashing. Over time, he has learned the truth about him and regained his true self. Disgusted by the practices of CIS, he defected to IMG after the Aland Crisis. Yet this did not last long, as the miners trained their guns on the people of Crayter. Reaching out to one of his closer associates during his time as Admiral, he reaffirmed his loyalties to Crayter people and reintegrated into Crayter Military with the condition he would be adopted into Atreides Family. Since that day he is part of the 39th Battlegroup and uses Atreides as his last name.
