Gorgon, a proof of concept - Jadon King - 03-07-2018

Ok I've been thinking of this as more than a RP asset, see here to know the basis on just what it is.

Now onto the topic at hand

Gorgon use against Players

The way I would try this is to first get permission from a Nomad player to try this, when it starts I use the dice command and roll a D 100 for percentage, then the Nomad player rolls the same, the one with a higher number wins.

Which is not to say the winner gets full domination over what happens, both players get to decide what happens on their respective ends. For example, I win the rolls so I decide that the pulse does in fact hit the Nomad full force, how the Nomad reacts to the Theta Waves is fully up to the player. This can be from it just being annoyed to (If they REALLY wanted to have fun) Goes berserk and strikes out randomly or just straight up explode ala Incubus.

I would very much like to know what the Nomad and Wild players think of this, be it "No this is bad, don't do it" or "This is interesting try it out, see what happens" I just want to see your thoughts on this.

Just gonna bump this and add that I am asking for feedback on this idea. I would like to know if people would like to see this used outside of just me writing development logs. Or to keep it as a RP goal that she'll never reach.

We are actually do likely rp for SCEC(just for example my char have headaches too), and we planned study their telepathic mechanism too. Its interesting, how different players have actually same ideas.

I think, we really need write some thing like wh40k psytech, if it exists in lore, should be way to control it. I suppose, we cannot disable or control nomads by it without long study and deep understanding of their telepathy, but jam their hivemind connection - sure. I think, if we cut nomad from hivemind, its not kill them but it should be really shock for them. But, consequences of it not predictious. Individual nomad specie can be even worse.

Correct me if i not understand point of thread, too many of blurry description for me, im just better with full-technical texts.

The point is to shock the Nomads system, it's pretty much meant to act like an EMP to them. Though the effectiveness of it decreases the more advanced the Nomad is, like I said on the RP post, you won't get an Ish'Tar or a Marduk to stop what it's doing with this thing, Snub sized to Gunboat at most. The Nammu's and Anzu's would be more annoyed then anything. But again, it's up to the Nomad player to decide how things go down in the end.

Yep, big nomad species hivemind nodes by themselves, and i suppose you will be cannot shock lesser species if big one close enough. But, i think EMP very bad analogy. Nomads is individual things which in hivemind, they no need hivemind for live on instincts i think. But cutting from gestalt should be painful, and im agree, if your thing work succesful, nomad player should chose next actions: become a berserker or be shocked and confused.

Hm, so i think im agreed with your idea, not?

Yeah that pretty much sums it up actually.
