Spark of Fury - Reeves - 03-15-2018

Commonwealth Space, Vespucci - 19:30 Guadalajara Standard Time.

Guard forces in Vespucci had been alerted to the arrival of a capital-ship vessel that didn't squawk any familiar IFFs, that way nobody had itchy trigger fingers, at least not if they knew what was good for them. As a formality and to ensure that any unwelcome pursuers that would come with the cruiser got the message, Dalgaard was patiently waiting in the CIC of one of the Legion's Arbiters. The Libertine.

This was originally a matter that fell on Locklear's lap, but through some sequence of the chain of command its several nuances, it was delegated to him. Regardless, he'd see to it that this went by as smoothly as was possible, despite the lengthy delay given the recent volatility that the Legion had faced on multiple fronts.

After taking note that they had been standing by for five minutes, Dalgaard would walk over to the ship's intercom station and pick up a head-set that was left on top of the flickering holographic tactical display. The bandwidth he was connected to would crackle for a moment has he patched himself into the communications of the small wing of Prosecutors that were waiting on the other side of the jump-hole.

"Do you see our guests yet?" There was a moments pause after Dalgaard voiced his question, either a literal delay in the receiver or the pilots had taken a moment to confirm their answer. "No sir, nothing yet. We'll keep you posted."

Having got his answer for now, he'd return to the Captain's seat and stay there for perhaps a few more minutes, trying to keep his mind occupied and wait for news of the Cruiser's arrival.
