Miss Rae,

Words can't describe how awkward this sudden outreach is, what might make matters worse is the fact that you'll most definitely not remember me, so before I move on to what I truly intend to say, let me rather quickly get rid of that metaphorical elephant in the room.

Quite certain it was early May. I was a cadet in the primary fleet at the time and had launched from Manhattan upon receiving a notification that a rather concerning amount of Scyllas were in orbit of our Capital, all of whom were headed by you.

Now you didn't know me, nor did I know you. But it didn't stop you from making the rest of my career until the rank of Commander, exceptionally awkward. I believe that there's subtlety, there's blatant directness, and then there's you rather publically stating that you wanted to engage in immediate intimate activities with me in front of all my wingmates.

I never heard the end of it, sometimes people even still ask me about it. With that out of the way, I'm contacting you not just to revisit my days of being green and more naive than the average political activist, but to understand the nature, extent and scope of agreement you had with our Agency at the time, especially relevant considering my status as Director of the same Agency today.

Awkward or not, I guess it's nice revisiting that comical little memory from two years ago. I hope you've been keeping well, and that you haven't lost your particularly painful sense of directness. Looking forward to hearing from you.

To be honest with you, I can't say the name, face, or voice rings a bell. It's been a while, though, and I've had more important things than you spooks on my mind. The occasion, though, I do recollect - hazily, mind. Me and the boys got pretty wasted after, as anyone who had Liberty's government plead with them not to tip over 'Hattan's defense grid would. I'm glad to hear my fun caused you some grief, and that you seemed to enjoy it so much. Seems very much a habit of rank-holders to masochistically relish being put in compromising positions by me.

If'n you're interested in discussing the agreement once had, I'm interested if you can show me that it'll still be worth my while. If you're just asking for a refresher course, though, then that's on you lot for not writing things down. Hit me up when you have something to offer. Until, frak off.

I never pegged you for an alcoholic, but I suppose it's a fitting form of celebration for any rogue that lasts longer than a week. I have on hand a few reports about dealings with you, and I suppose you can come to an agreement with the Agency once more.

Depending on how closely you'd like to work with us, I might even have a job offer for you. But at this point it's all up to you. I will say that there are some things I can offer you that you perhaps wouldn't get very easily or reliably. Money, a safehouse and a well crafted false identity for when you inevitably want a vacation.

My operatives can additionally keep you out of trouble with the uniforms now and then, but there's obvious limits. Should you be interested in completely losing your current rap-sheet and actually being able to pursue a life worth living, then I'll be referring this communication to the current commanding officer of our mobile HQ.

Two fair and generous offers, just don't try to play me for a fool because you've been deluded into interpreting my trip down memory lane as some sign of infatuation with you. This is business only, and even if it weren't, you aren't my type.
