Respectable Congress and Marauders;
My name is Russ Askew, owner and captain of the salvage and trade ship "Opportune" and salvage and exploration ship "PrisonShank".
Premium scrap has been my primary occupation for months now.... it is my bread and butter.
As I am sure you are aware, there are currently at least 3 bases in Texas, aside Beaumont Spire that sell premium scrap, namely: Port Reys, Scrap Palace and Veltman Smelter.
At least two of these bases, Port Reys and Scrap Palace, have been selling premium scrap for as low as 1.500sc per unit. That kind of predatory pricing either puts Junkers like myself out of business or lowers them to the levels of miners on Pittsburgh.
Now, there is a thick line between some friendly competitiveness among fellow Junkers and straight up economic hostility which these people have clearly crossed.
I ask you to use any influence you may have in the government to either get them to bring their prices up to 4k a piece or get their licenses revoked and their bases turned into floating wrecks of the Pequena Negra before such becomes the fate of the Baeumont Spire.
I am also willing to donate 400 000 000sc for such an endeveor for I am sure that pulling such strings can get expencive.
