Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Ikarus_Hagen - 04-30-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. He released the trigger of the datapad after Taylor finished his message. He sorted his desk, putting two chairs infront of his table and waited for the operatives to arrive. His office was empty, only his desk remained in this room. He looked around, looking on nearly every inch of the office as he turned around. Blank steel instead of a fancy and welcoming atmosphere. The curse of a moving. Shortly after the message 'Arvestian' went into Taylor's office, leaning silently on a wall and waiting for the other operatives. RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - FreshP - 05-01-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. Someone is tapping on the door of Taylor's office. After 3-4 knocks, the door opens and 'Artemis' walks in. He silently stops and says "Hello". His datapad is in his right hand. He is dressed in pilot gear and with a helmet in his other hand. "I came as fast as I could. I was testing the "Destroyer-III". This design is great." RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Ikarus_Hagen - 05-01-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. With a wink Taylor ordered 'Artemis' to sit down while he was looking on his own datapad which laid on the desk. He looked up, smiled slightly. Howdy Artemis, good to see you here. We will wait for Ash to show up- He leanded back, grabbed a bottle of water, took a sip and proceeded to talk with a tired-sounding voice. Well, the Destroyer loadout is quite good, hopefully it's really that good. RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - FreshP - 05-01-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. "Artemis" sat down, placed his helmet on the floor. He looked at Taylor with a sarcastic smile on his face. He started to talk... "Well... You know I'm a terrible pilot, but I managed to cause serious damage in the hostile craft before I had to flee or bail out..." He opened a file on his datapad and showed it to Taylor. Encounter; #1:
Location: New York system Hossile vessels taken down: 2/1 Last status of "Destroyer-III": bailout ------------------------------------- Encounter; #2: Location: New York system Hossile vessels taken down: 7/1 Last status of "Destroyer-III": bailout "See... I am a terrible pilot... *laughs* But fortunately we managed to recover my vessel after the conflicts." RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Frostpfote - 05-11-2018 Taylor's Office, Juneau shipyard. Tired from her last nightshift, 'Ash' knocked on the door aswell. She tried to look atleast somewhat rested, but the sleepless nights had left their marks on her face. "Greetings..." , she said as she walked into the office, sitting down next to 'Artemis'. RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Ikarus_Hagen - 05-11-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. With a slight smile he recognised 'Ash's arrival. Taylor saw how exhaused 'Ash' was, it was very obvious, on the other hand he didn't payed much attention to 'Artemis' databad, he just downloaded the data for later. Howdy Ash, finally you arrived. Better ya'll take notes, I will talk a lot now. He stood up very fast, with an exited face Taylor started to present his idea. I have a lot of time to spend, so I thought about Jump Drives. Within my mind I came across an idea of a scanner, capable to see every movement within the Liberty sector and even capable of he leaned on his desk monitoring all jump path's, even from the past. What do you think? 'Arvestian' looked at Taylor. With a surprised and confused face he leaned forward and asked: How do you think we can track jumps which occured in the past, heck, why we should even think about them? Easy answer: Jump Drives directly involve the gravity and matter within a system, which can be tracked down with such a scanner. What do you think about it? Taylor looked at 'Ash' and 'Artemis'. RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - FreshP - 05-11-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. 'Artemis' looked up, he was listening to Taylor and 'Artemis' was really surprised. After some silence he started to speak. "If it is possible... What do we need for this? I mean... This is a really big work to at least earn some progress..." While he was speaking, he wrote some stuff in his datapad and while typing he stopped to speak for a few seconds. "Wait... Let me do some calculations and planning in the next days! Maybe I can figure out something... Tell me some of the requirements of this tracking device or scanner or whatever you want to name it." 'Artemis' looked at Taylor... Waiting for his answer. RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Ikarus_Hagen - 05-14-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. Looking on his datapad while 'Artemis' was talking, Taylor sat down, listened and nodded. After 'Artemis' finished talking Taylor looked shotly at him and countinued looking and typing on his own datapad while speaking. Well, monitoring jumps within Liberty and even outside of it, depending on the scanner's location, we can find hives of incoming Nomads, Gauls, even those Cultists using jump drives to get here. Everything can be tracked down. He rolled a bit backwards, putting his feet on the desk and countinued: As you are aware, well, I hope you know, some ships are missing, they just disappeared. Maybe they jumped, but lacking the technology to see such a movement we never were and we are never capable of finding those ships. Do you know those unknown sectors which appear from time to time? Those jump-holes to such systems are very unstable, they just disappear after some time. What if we can track that path down to enter that system again? It could be in the interest not for only the Navy, but our corporations, too. Taylor watched the operative's reactions. Sounds good. Should we start now? RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Frostpfote - 05-31-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. She thought about the idea for a moment, not sure if the scanner would be more useful than a weapon that could dismantle nomad ships in seconds. I guess the idea isn't bad, but should we really spend all our time on that just so we finish it anytime soon? We can find those ships later aswell, but we can't protect our home once the Nomads destroyed everything. RE: Project 'Gods-Mind', Edwards Research Center - Ikarus_Hagen - 06-02-2018 Taylor's office, Juneau shipyard. He looked 'Ash' right in her eyes, a bit too serious and a bit away within his thoughts. Good point. Since there are some preparations needed before we can build the scanner you may return to normal duty while I try to get us some useful data. Ya'll better be ready for next orders, they will come soon. While leaning forward to grab his datapad Taylor countinued talking, meanwhile he leaned back as before after he got his pad. Trust me. Once we build that scanner we are capable of finding solutions to defeat the nomads and the Gauls. Leave now, for now your job here is done. I will contact you in time. |
