Appearance and Personality

Drax is well known among the Hessians for his brutality and recklessness in battle, being a former bounty hunter his abilities and experience make him one of the deadliest pilots within the Roten Hessen. He always wears his fur coat and a pitch-black armor but the most rememberable about Drax is his two-hander "Roter Wind" which is a cruel tool of killing. Mostly his presence alone is enough to scare away the enemies of the Red Hessians. He is absolutely loyal to Generalmajor Anna Heinrich and her goals, he would never leave a comrade behind. he keeps his friends and allies close to him. His position within the Red Hessian Army grants him enough power to set big things in motion, he tends to execute his goals by himself, thinking through all possibilities and outcomes of it.

Herkunft

Freeport 1, Omega-3 system

Drax was born to a rather wealthy family, his parents were well known in Rheinland, for their knowledge in engineering and physics. His parents were working on a newly developed armor plating for the Rheinwehr which would've drastically changed the war into Rheinlands favor. Unfortunately, they were never able to finish it, the war ended and a great depression began in Rheinland. The Stahlbrecher's found themselves now being a threat to Rheinland and its new regime. Escaping into neutral territories, Freeport 1 was their new asylum and home. His parents quickly adapted to the Zoner's and worked in a local school on Freeport 1, teaching children from all corners of Sirius. Drax and Arthur had a normal childhood the memories of their past in Rheinland were shrouded as they both were barely two years old. However, years have passed and the Stahlbrechers forged a new life on Freeport 1.

Lara and Ansgar left their sons behind as they did with Rheinland, a group of Bounty Hunters living in the Freeport took care of them, close friends of Lara and Ansgar over the time in Omega-3. Drax and Arthur never really understand why their parents had to leave, how?

They just have been six years old, a simple lie turned their lives upside down. "We're leaving for a meeting, we'll return soon" were their words. However, Drax and Arthur quickly began to adapt to their new life. Always waiting for their parents to return, however, the Bounty Hunters had other plans with those two. Ansgar and Lara had other problems now, finding another safe place to stay. The Omegas are a dangerous place, it is unknown where they are till this day. During their time in the exile which they chose themselves, Ansgar and Lara met new friends and allies, who worked against Rheinland, against their new authority. They surely knew where to hide so they split somewhere in the empty voids of the Omegas or Omicrons, knowing their sons would be alive in peace.

A hard life stood before them, the group of Bounty Hunters, was their new family. However, Drax and Arthur began to understand that there is no other way, leaving them would mean their end. With the age of twelve, their days were packed with studying, combat training, tracking and so on. Six years have passed, Drax and Arthur would finally have their first mission, the last years felt endless, the drill day for day.

Dublin, Bretonia

Their first mission wasn't much to talk about a rather well known Molly terrorist had to be stopped in Dublin, they spend days and weeks to spot and track down the terrorist, but finally Drax managed to get a hint, a meeting with some "trader" he met on the old Battleship Hood, which is known to be under control by the Independent Miner Guild, it holds all sorts of people, however, deep in the Goldfields of Dublin they met the contact of Drax. It was a rather unsuccessful meeting, a simple Artifact smuggler was their "contact" however it shouldn't take long until they managed to track down their target. It was rather luck than any ability of them, the Mollys launched a raid attack on the New London Jump Gate, it was now their chance Battleship Essex contacted all available Pilots near the Gate. The Mollys were already slaughtered by the Armed Forces as the Bounty Hunters arrived, claiming their target and their payment. The Armed Forces returned to Essex, leaving the terrorist behind, belonging now to the Hunters he was turned in on Essex, rewarding a small wage of a few hundred thousand's of credits, nothing that it would be worth to die for.

Darnell took them on more missions, few were dangerous, few were not, different tasks each time, training in the time between new missions. He taught them everything he knows, forging them into specialists of the hunt. One day they would go on their own missions, these two brothers made a perfect team, relying on each other, trust was their most powerful weapon in combat.

Drax and Arthur became well known among other Bounty Hunters, raising attention here and there, their usual payment raised as the jobs they took were very dangerous. However, they were very successful in their jobs. Enough to get retired and leave the scene, but it wasn't in their mind, not yet maybe if they were old enough for that. However, their missions took them to exotical places like the deepwater caves of Planet Curacao, the abandoned mine shafts of Planet Pittsburg, deep Omicrons. Omicron Delta was a term for every Bounty Hunter, risky and dangerous jobs, cheap drinks, enough money to earn. The agents of the Order were their main targets now, Darnell warned them about their agents to never underestimate them. Well trained and organized, however, Drax and Arthur were able to work good enough together, to survive the dangerous Omicron systems.

Drax and Arthur didn't spend much time there as they returned to Freeport 1 learning about the current situation in Liberty, criminality growing at such a rate, the two decided to leave, Liberty was their new hunting ground. Liberty Rouges, Lane Hackers, Outcasts, Xenos and other criminals, smugglers were on their list. Again they made a name among the Bounty Hunters in Liberty. A new mission had to be done, a Cardamine smuggler had to be found, Drax tracked him down on California Minor a cold world full of glaciers, deserts of ice and snow.

Finally after a month, they found him, hidden somewhere on California Minor in a cave surrounded by nothing but ice. Drax suggested creating a small observation camp hidden beneath meters of ice and snow. Always having a look on their target, when he would make his move to trigger a trap. They placed movement sensors around the potential hideout of the smuggler. Days and weeks passed Drax and Arthur remained patient, they would've never accepted to fail a mission where they already had put so much effort in it. Finally, after three months on California Minor that god damn chunk of ice they call a Planet, their target moved, it seemed he had a new contractor a new delivery of Artifacts had to be made. It was their chance, now or never, Drax and Arthur stormed the hideout capturing their target and returning to New York to turn in their bounty. Drax and Arthur became experienced and more careless, they never had a failure. The first failure shouldn't have waited too long for them, their last mission as a duo came, unknown for them. A hideout raid on Planet Gran Canaria, Cayman had to be their last mission, their task was simple, ambush a Corsair warlord in his hideout and eliminate every Corsair you find. Drax and Arthur took the contract, not knowing they have been betrayed and send on a wrong path, landing on Gran Canaria they managed to gain intel about the Corsair Warlord, everything they needed to strike. They entered the cave, silence, absolute, the Corsairs were waiting for them, Drax and Arthur were already in an ambush, but they were those who were hunted this time. Fire from all directions, disoriented and overwhelmed by Corsair firepower the brothers began to retreat.

However, the Corsairs gave them no chance so they had to fight their way to escape them, as they finally managed to escape both were hit by a rocket launcher, only the shockwave throwing them away like leaves in the air. Heavily wounded, Arthur told his younger brother to leave without him, there was no other chance, at least one had to survive, Arthur gave Drax his sword "Roter Wind" he always had a weakness for middleaged weapons, however, Drax understood his brother and gave him a promise. He would find their parents under all costs and reunite their family. Drax left, he left everything he had behind, his brother.

The Red Hessian Army

After his return to Freeport 1 Drax fell into depressions of his failure, years passed and Drax finally had regained his mind, remembering his promise. Forging a plan to find his parents, he knew this won't be easy, alone, without any aid only his ship left, his brothers sword. He learned about a group who controlled the deeper Omegas called the "Red Hessians". Drax changed his ship, to draw less attention while passing through the Hessian territory. However Drax understood that his only chance traveling save in the Omegas would be by joining the Red Hessians, there was no other chance.

He had a strange feeling, becoming unlawful, always being on the lawful side. The Red Hessian Army seemed to be fitting for him, as they relatively did the same as he was used to and a few new things like piracy. During a visit on Station Leipzig Drax learned about his past, rather the past of his parents. Everything was clear from now, the Rheinlandish government took everything away from him. Hate started to grow against the Federal Republic of Rheinland, his promise went away, his new task was to destroy the Government of Rheinland, aid the Hessians at all costs. Drax raised quickly through the ranks, motivated and with absolute loyalty towards the Red Hessians, his new family.

It took Drax nearly two years to become one of the most feared and respected Hessians, his loyalty was rewarded with the rank of a Brigadegeneral of Omega-7. The Generalmajor began to watch his steps with closers eyes now. During his time in the Armee Drax met a guy named "Lukas Riemann" a new "recruit" in the Armee, later resigned and joining the allies of the Hessen, the Coalition. Till this day Drax holds contact with him, he is his closest ally in the Coalition. In these days Drax has become an irreplaceable Brigadegeneral and ally in the Generalmajors goals. Destroying all enemies of the Hessians with the utmost brutality, capturing and executing every Corsair in his path, to revenge his brother.

Return of Stahlbrecher

Basis Freistadt, Omega-7 System

After his promotion and assignment of Omega-7 Drax focused to gain more control within the system. But the conflict between the Federal Republic of Rheinland and its Military draw more and more attention of the Hessians. Generalmajor Heinrich assigned Stahlbrecher to direct control of the Dresden fleet. Leading the final push onto the heavy damaged Altenburg fleet.

Basis Vogtland, Dresden, Rheinland

Vogtland was now under Stahlbrechers command, with all its assets. Stahlbrecher began to plan the offensive as a report about a Corsair fleet hiding their coward faces somewhere in the southern regions of Dresden. It was in the interest of the Generalmajor to destroy their assets before they could sneak up on us and backstab us. The SOA was ordered to make a swift strike and damage the Athos fleet. However, the Corsairs did not intend to leave Dresden after the first strike of the Hessians and Drax began his offensive on Altenburg. However, the Rheinwehr managed to hold their position and drag the Hessians away from the Altenburg into the Schwefelnebel, a dense field of lava asteroids and sulfur. Drax got into an ambush, despite himself being a skilled pilot he was shot down by the big number of Rheinwehr vessels, his only chance to survive was an escaping pod, the personal flagship "Roter Wind" took more and more damage as Drax ordered his crew to abandon the ship. Lava asteroids from the Schwefelnebel field began to hit the Coalition destroyer tearing its hull into pieces. Acidic fumes of the hitting asteroids burned the lungs of the personnel. The air was no longer breathable as Drax reached his escape pod and drifted into the field of scrap and dead bodies of his former crew.

Aground in the field he sent out a distress signal to all Red Hessian vessels within Dresden, knowing he wouldn't survive a long time he lay down in cryostasis to increase the chances of survival. After three months Major Albert "Víkingar" Rafnkelsson of the SOA received the distress signal and directed medical vessels towards Drax to re-acquire the lifepod. Arriving on Vogtland he was brought into the Military hospital to make a diagnosis if Drax could survive his wounds. The chief doctor of the S.O.A himself had now the assignment to heal and rebuild Drax fractured body. Doctor Freyr Roberson a medical expert fitted with latest Hessian technology began to rebuild Drax. His body suffered major fractures within the lungs due to the acid fumes of the hitting asteroids and the leaking cooling liquid of the Typhoon destroyer. Several ribs and bones were crushed his legs had to be amputated as they could not be saved anymore.

Drax spend hours in a tank of a liquid mixture only known to Doctor Roberson alone, healing most of the surface wounds as the internal bleedings had to be stopped by surgery. Roberson knew he had to work quick otherwise he would risk more internal damage to his body and facing execution by the Generalmajor herself. Drax received new lungs so his ability to breath would be established again, titanium-reinforced legs and thorax. It took Roberson 48 hours to succesfully cure all wounds and rebuild his body. However, Drax would spend the next time in the Hospital to learn how to use his new body and receive additional healing sessions within the tank. Roberson knew that Stahlbrecher would never be able to breathe oxygen again, his new lungs relayed on a chemical mixture of extremely volatile gases, the Hessians could be lucky to have such a crazy mind in their laboratories and medial centers to aid their wounded soldiers and Oberkommando personnel.

Weeks have passed and Drax was still on Vogtland he was able to walk and run properly again however breathing with his new lungs was still a heavy load on him. He already began to practice his abilities again, but Roberson warned him not to expect perfect results as he still was weak and his body still healing. Drax required more sessions within the healing tank to speed up the process. Against all warnings of Roberson Drax stood longer and longer in the tank, hoping to heal quickly.

It took some time to realize for Drax that he couldn't heal faster as his human body would allow him to. Disappointed by his inability to serve and aid the Hessians, his brothers in arms he was so angry that he killed a personal guard, in front of his hospital room. Only a premedication of Doctor Roberson could soothe him, his reckless and brutal past made him a very dangerous opponent. However, Drax was placed in artificial koma to prevent him from freaking out again.

After an additional three weeks, he was taken out of the coma again. Roberson was proud of his work as the Generalmajor visited Drax on Vogtland. As the Generalmajor told Drax the news and the final occupation of Dresden. Drax was furious that he was lured into such a pathetic ambush by the Rheinwehr and swore to revenge his fallen comrades and crew members. Meanwhile, Battleship Altenburg was repaired and redeployed in Omega-7, Drax was furious that the effort of the Hessians was nullified by the retreat of the Rheinlanders.

Drax spend additional time on Vogtland to practice his abilities and returning to the place of shame. Looking for the most precious artifact he ever possessed, the sword of his brother Arthur, the blade he used in the past to mow down his enemies if they ever dared to attack him on the surface of a Station or Planet. Unfortunately, the blade was lost, destroyed by the explosion of the vessel. Disappointed with the loss of the sword, he returned to Vogtland for new instructions from the Generalmajor.

With the Gallic invasion into New London and Bretonias annexation of Omega-49 Drax was hungry for new opponents and new tasks to increase the power of the Hessians within the Omegas. The Unioners aren't worthy opponents for us as he always tended to say. Pathetic remains of an old regime in the future, they will lose the ground under their feet and will be perished by the time itself.

With Bretonias plans of the annexation of the IMG shipyard in Omega-3, the Hessians had to react. Preparing a plan of their own way of response. Again Drax is back in his former position within the Brigadegenerals, motivated to destroy anyone who stands in the way of the Hessians.
